Claiming my 9 month Vetran awards
For that particular reward, the costume pieces should automatically be available in the Character Creation and Tailor screens, and you should be able to get the costume token by going to your Badges window, going to the Veteran Rewards in the category dropdown, and scrolling down...there should be a button on one of the badges to claim the token.
Go into the badges window and select "veteran" from the dropdown. There are additional "badges" with a claim button on them. This is how you'll get the token and respec.
The costume parts are available once the badge is initially awarded. ParagonWiki shows where the Belly Shirt and Kilt can be found in the costume creator.

Thank you! I thought it was somthing simple like that.
It's also worth noting that, once claimed from the Veteran badge window as described above, you'll need to visit the respec contact to actually use the respec. This would be Jack Wolfe in Galaxy City heroside or Arbiter Lupin in Nerva Archipelago villainside.

He's still new.
I'm kind of wondering why this is necessary.
When I log in, it says I have no free costume change tokens available.
Yet, according to the instructions above, I can go through this process to make it available.
Why the extra (undocumented) steps?
I even looked at the FAQ for vet rewards and saw nothing mentioned about this.
Does anyone know why this is necessary instead of just having the tokens show up upon receipt of the badge? Do they expire after a certain time if not used?
I'm confused. And a little bit broke, since I didn't know this and when I went to change my costume for my Thug MM, I paid the fee for the costume change.
Also, how do I know when I'm using a free costume change token?
CoH/V is so much better documented than other MMOs I've played, but this is one area where it seems unnecessarily opaque. Unless it's necessary for it to be opaque. I can't imagine why, though.

You know by using the toggle button within the costume editor. At the bottom, where it details your cost to make whatever changes you are making to the toon's costume, you will see a BIG blue botton that you can toggle to use a free costume change token. Simply click it to toggle off of the inf cost and instead utilize an available token.
As for the documentation, I just have to shrug and say that not everything can be documented. That's the reason we have such a great wiki and this forum with so many helpful folks available.

When you have a token avalible there is a button at the bottom, where it tells you how much the change cost, that will allow you to switch between using or not using the token. One peice of advise, only use the token for an expensive change rather than something cheep like just changing a colour or adding a cape.
Then it's time for them to get off the cross, use the wood to build a bridge, and get over it.

In the past, costume tokens are used automatically by the Tailor. People complained that they would rather save the token for when they make a drastic and expensive change, rather than blow it on minor tweak, like changing a color. The Devs probably took this desire into account when they included tokens in the Vet Rewards. Of course, this isn't relevant anymore due to recent quality of life changes which added the option to choose how you'd like to pay for a costume change at the Tailor.

I know 9 months isn't a lot to all you people. But it is to me!

I recieved the badge, but nothing else. no respec, no costume change token, and no aditional costume parts. There must be somthing simple like /claim or somthing right?
If not, should I petition it or am I just screwed?
