Quote:Keep in mind that it doesn't really matter what the average damage says, since HoB's damage can change by a very large amount from one firing to the next due to its mechanics, where (IIRC) each tick has a 50% chance of landing. Is the avg damage accurate? It is higher than traditional blaster nukes isn't it?

They are shiny new models for your character's weaponry; just like at character creation where you can choose from a bunch of Broadsword swords, there is a Broadsword sword you can purchase from Vanguard to enhance your costume. (Same with almost every other weapon.)Quote:Yes they are....they are owned by Vanguard and used against the Rikti...that's why I call them Vanguard Ritki Weapons. I think you can buy mines, psionic defense and other things
Quote:Also, the weapons on the weblink you quoted aren't what I'm talking about. They are not on the Wiki
If you're talking about the temporary powers, which are not really "weapons", they are located here. -
Another friend just got bit by this. I've changed two MOTDs to tell people not to buy stacked items from the market. UGH.

My friend got bit by this, so I'm bringing this back up to the top of the stack.

You're still rooted. There is no activation time because when you click HoB, you're actually granting yourself a no-activation-time defense buff and summoning a pseudopet at the same time, basically, sort of, and the real numbers don't show that properly (not sure if it even CAN).

OMG. They just can't win. When they post things on the forums, people ***** about not finding them on the official site. When they post things on the official site, people ***** about not finding them on the forums. LOL

When your in the RWZ war room where Lady Grey is have you seen all of those invention machines? They have VANGUARD Rikti Weapons to augment your own powers. You can buy them with Vanguard Merit Points. I have not bought any of them yet because I'm curious about their effectiveness.

Missions do not utilize most of Ultra Mode's graphics options, so that's no way to test it.

Yeah... the prima guide from 2004 is retardulously out of date. It was out of date the day it was printed, and it was also printed with a bunch of errors. Burn it in a fire.

33 Month veteran rewards are ranged attacks that give bonus damage to matching origins. The Nemesis staff gives extra damage for Science, Tech, and Natural origin characters. The Blackwand gives extra damage for Mutant, Magic, and Natural origin characters. If you don't match origins, you still get the base damage; just not the bonus damage.

CoH can utilize two cores. It cannot utilize all four (or more if you have more).
However, that does mean you have two (or more) cores that can be used for other programs' needs (like Photoshop, etc.) -
Sigs have to be a max of 150px tall, so you need to bump them down in size, but otherwise I like the first one's brightness with the second one's images.
So basically, what Obsidius said. As is, with no changes? First one. Make second one brighter? Second one. -
You might be able to turn a couple Ultra Mode options on to low/medium. If you turn everything up to medium/high/max, your computer will probably attempt to barf the game out the CD slot. That thing is ollllllld.

Probably get better response down in the Mac forum. We're mostly Windoze folks here.

This is the same issue that happens occasionally where the game "forgets" the EAT "flag". Some patches or NCsoft account maintenances will remove the EAT flag from an account (and not all accounts, it's REALLY WEIRD). If this happens in the future, you'll just need to log any character above 20 in and you'll get EATs back. Keep in mind that same-faction unlocks still apply (need a lv20 hero for HEATs, lv20 villain for VEATs).

I almost forgot to do it, but I updated our Player Events thread with news of April's vote. Hopefully we'll see some new faces. (Don't be afraid, we don't bite unless you request it.)

Do both! The game is practically about alts, after all.
Welcome back. -
Quote:...why use Google or Yahoo to search our forums when we have our own search function? Searching on player suggestions implemented got this result on page 2: Suggested by Players - Implemented by Devs - List. You'll note that even though the thread is from 2006, FOUR YEARS AGO, there were already a ton of implemented player suggestions.Unfortunately, my search-fu is weak, and despite using both Google and Yahoo, and searching for the terms suggestions; improvements; list; player; made; implement; implemented in any combination, I can't find a list of player made suggestions that were implemented in the game... even though I know a couple people have compiled such lists.
There are probably newer versions of the same list, with updated player-suggested features/tweaks/whatever, but I stopped when I got a hit. -
If you want a response from Castle, PM Castle.

Download the file. Open the folder where the file is. Right click the file icon. Run as administrator.

Quote:He toldja how to do it.Are you running Vista or Windows 7? If so try using the "Run as Administrator" option for installing it (right-click on the icon and pick Run as Administrator from the list).
*Edit: Damn. Beaten. You win this round SinisterDirge but the battle isn't over!
