Hope We Have Smooth Sailing Tonight
You might be able to turn a couple Ultra Mode options on to low/medium. If you turn everything up to medium/high/max, your computer will probably attempt to barf the game out the CD slot. That thing is ollllllld.

The only issue I ran into (and this was a problem "before" i17) but seemed to get progressively worse after i17 download, was getting stuck in the Cimerora Crystal with my toons feet sunk into the floor below the crystal. It wasn't just me but my other teammates were also getting stuck. It took me about a good 5 minutes of wiggling to pry myself from that crystal. So anyone venturing to Cimerora take note of that crystal and the possibility of getting stuck in it.
So, maybe I need to send the folks at Nvidia a fruit basket or something...hehe. I feel much more confident now with this graphics card more than ever
Missions do not utilize most of Ultra Mode's graphics options, so that's no way to test it.

My computer's not far off from yours (but newer) and I did run into problems, mainly with frame rate. After a little aimless poking about I defaulted my settings and my frame rate's been fine. Granted, the graphics look pretty much like they did before Ultra (and they didn't seem much diff with it on), but at least I can play again.
That was just about 20 minutes of aimless trying though. When I get home I'm going to spend a little time and see what I can get out of some real focused effort, but I get too bored too quickly with seemingly endless computer-settings jiggery-pokery, I'd rather play than spend my entire morning on this.

So, I am not sure what scenarios you are wanting to place me in to really test my graphics card and my computer to see what it can do? As I mentioned, Hami Raids and RWZ Raids don't count as I already know frame rate is more jittery in those types of "action" very large group raids.
I think what Aggelakis meant its that instanced missions don't use most of the UM effects. The only thing they use is water reflections in the sewers. Flying around the zones should give you the full effect though, so if that works fine you're likely ok.
Also, when you get stuck in crystals like that try the command /stuck. It'll tp you a few feet away and free you up. That happens to me in one of the SGs I'm in. They put a crystal in the entrance tper and I keep getting stuck in it.
I had the same problem, both traveling into Cimerora and traveling back to the Midnighters Club. /stuck did not get me free in either case. (not the first time /stuck hasn't worked for me). Fotunately I was able to teleport away with a black market teleporter.

It actually seemed worse on the Cimerora Side. Like you, I typed /stuck several times as my teammates and others stood around rooting me on..hehe. I couldn't move as my legs were embedded in the ground. The funny thing was as others came into the zone, they also were getting stuck. It was a like a Venus Fly trap..hehe. As I mentioned earlier, it took me about five plus minutes to eventually break free. Now, I am a little gun shy in going back to Cimerora until they can get that fixed. Maybe they could add a temporarily Ouroboros teleport into there until they can fix it?

So, I'm at work and didn't have the opportunity to turn on my computer at home and get the new issue i17 uploaded. Based on what I read, I really don't think i will encounter any issues with the graphics being that right now I have my graphics on CoX maxed out without any issues. The only thing I am somewhat concerned with is from what I have been reading about what is the best Graphics Card for Ultra Mode. This is what I am currently running:
Gateway Computer, approx 5 years old, Model GX7018E.
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 630 w/Hyper-Threading Technology
Chipset: Intel 915G
Memory: I upgraded to 3GB of RAM as I am running Windows XP and the max is 3GB of RAM for this.
Video Graphics: Upgraded to Nvida GeForce 9600GT 512MB OC Graphics Card
Hard Drive: 250 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA hard drive
There you have it! I guess I will find out tonight when I log in. Hopefully all will go well. Any additional thoughts out there would be welcome.
