Yeah it was. I was hoping that Bendy Lisa wasn't going to get killed off like Sam's girl in the beginning.
Seemed to me that there was still something that Sam and the others were hiding from Dean, or not ready to tell him yet. I mean in addition to the whole djinn kidnapping thing, that Samuel kept (or is keeping?) from Sam. -
Quote:Gene Simmons?! Okay, so I'm out of the loop as to who's been on Sesame Street....
As for the list... I honestly just scanned over it in about 5 minutes. Some of those people I don't even know who they are... Gene Simmons is probably the most damning of the people on the list. I don't know how I skipped over that name...
Anyway, the argument that people who are worse than Perry getting through is valid. Obviously the show doesn't discriminate so much based on history. Granted, I haven't seen their segments either...and can't accurately judge their.. uuhh... position on the awkward meter.
Still, Perry goes wherever her label/management shoves her.
How do you even get on Sesame Street, anyway? Do they ask you? Or do you approach them? -
I'm loathe to drop out of SFs due to the time investment, but I will quit a disastrous PuG. But when I do, I immediately switch characters.
I have better things to do than slog through a paper mission with a team that insists on biting off more than it can chew, or dealing with someone that insists on rushing mayhems because you'll get ambushed no matter how you do it, or a carrying a team full of AFKers, or what have you. -
Quote:'Aye.There is not harm in not liking a character. I am not fond of most of the Avengers, Nick Fury, or Captain America. I don't hate the characters, they just never did it for me.
There are incarnations of characters I dislike as well. I dislike, well hate, the TV version of The Hulk and David Banner. This was the reason I disliked the Ed Norton version of The Hulk. Or the 70's TV Spider-man, or even the Adam West style Batman.
Never really been a fan of the core Avengers here. I loved the first Iron Man movie, but that version of the character doesn't translate to the comics at all. I like the idea of the Hulk, and loved Planet Hulk and World War Hulk, but anything after that has sucked. -
So what exactly has Katy Perry done that's anything close to "kid friendly" anyway to even get her on Sesame Street to begin with?

I have a SoA character named Huntsman Grimm (Marcus Christopher Grimm, fwiw) whose personality is sort of a cross between Tony DiNozzo's sense of humor and libido if it was kept in check by Gibbs' die-hard soldier ethics. Hopefully, that makes sense.
Now Grimm is involved in some min-RP plots with a Widow character, and it's more amusing banter than srs bsns style RP. (The Widow player describes the relationship between Grimm and the Widow as a Tony/Ziva sort of thing.)
I got to thinking it might be fun to expand on what we have going, by adding to the Grimm family, particularly to set up the Brothers Grimm.
So, ideally, I'd be looking for someone to play Marcus' brother. Having the character be a VEAT would be simplest, but I'm open to ideas if there's interest.
Feel free to ask any questions on the NCIS by way of Arachnos thing here if you like. Should certainly be possible to fit in other characters too. -
I don't do it currently because the Hulk books are beyond silly right now, but if I -were- to buy a comic called "Hulk," I would want it to regularly feature a character with Hulk in its name.

Pain Dom colored to match Leviathan mastery, so that it's all "psychic" energy. After hanging out with Mako, Agonus altered his psychic blasts so that they resemble sharks.
And I like the look of coloring an Energy Shield the same color as default Fire Melee, so that it looks like the character has formed a sword and shield from fire.
Gravity control and Kinetics synced for all purpose Telekinesis.
Dark Melee and Fire Aura (I think with the Fire option instead of Flame) can be synced up pretty well to pass them both off visually as the same energy type of your choice.
And Earth Control (using crystals) and Storm as all purpose "magic," as there's a similar cloud-like graphic effect to both powersets.
And I have a character with Energy Melee colored to match Pyre Mastery, for a different way to do Fire Melee. (After the character was already leveled and the concept was in need of an overhaul to cover NRG's drawbacks.) -
Quote:Now that was all sorts of awesome.

I'm one of the handful of people that liked Godzilla: Final Wars by the looks of it. >.>

No shocker there, really. Surprised they kept them separate for this long, especially after the utter disaster of a "relaunch" a few years back.
Fold Gen 13, WildC.A.T.S. and the Authority into the DCU proper and be done with it. -
Definitely for the everyday use these guys claim it's intended for.
You need a second person you're extreeemely comfortable with to help you.
It's insanely unflattering.
Does not account for body hair.
By the looks of it, you could
-Take the time to spray on your own shirt
or
-Drive 20 minutes to the store, buy a new shirt, head back home, and possibly wash and dry your new shirt in LESS time than it would take you to spray on said shirt.
It's an interesting start though, I'll give them that much.
Maybe adapt it to the spray-on-tan booths? -
Quote:For what it's worth,as has already been pointed out, yes, both series are indeed worth reading through. 52 especially since if you're not fond of one particular plot thread, there's a few others that should keep you entertained. the only recommendation i have in regards to Infinite Crisis is that there were a few tie-in miniseries beforehand, and i at least recommend Villains United and Day of Vengeance. Omac Project was alright and ties in with Batman a bit, and Rann Thanagar was alright, but not great.
Villains United leads into the Secret Six book.
Day of Vengeance leads into Shadowpact and the current state of the Marvel Family.
Omac leads into Checkmate.
And I hate bird people, so I couldn't tell you what became of Rann/Thanagar.
Quote:if you havent read the other Crisis book beforehand, i would definitely say grab Crisis on Infinite Earths. Zero Hour you can take it or leave it, but i've always liked it. It was supposed to clean up the holes after the Crisis... supposed to.
Identity Crisis is crap. It's a terrible mystery played more for shock value than anything else and took an older concept and turned an entire group of Justice Leaguers into *******. Poor setup, worse execution, about the only thing i can say that it does have going for it is that it DOES have decent artwork. But that's about it.
and when you get up to it, Countdown and Final Crisis are even worse.
And between Dr. Light, Kyle Rayner trying to take on Deathstoke in the most asinine way he could, and the "logic" of the Dibny thing that was goofy even by comic book science, Identity Crisis sorta sucks. -

Here's a pic I found googling that shows how I'd like to a see a CGI Voltron. A nice take on the iconic look that's not quite as boxy-looking.
-
Quote:I don't know the context, but the comics had this a few years ago.yes, it might be praised if done by Alex Ross. But that's also because it would look better. I like the idea of making Voltron look a lot more fluid and less bulky than he did in the original cartoon series. ive also got no problems with them having the movie on earth so long as they actually mention that Voltron is an alien design. i kinda dig the look of the robeast, but im not impressed with the Voltron design, and the look of the lion is crap.
Nostalgia aside, Voltron should look like an armored knight. Like someone already said, more Iron Man and less Transformers.

Haha. Yeah, reminds me of a few players I know too. >.<

Going with the explanation that superhumans tend to be above average in addition their powers, there was an X-Men story years ago where either Sinister or the High Evolutionary did something to strip mutants of their powers. As a result I think Beast discovered that they all actually increased base physical stats in addition to their mutant powers. And when they lost their powers, they all felt a little weaker too.
Or y'know, Rule of Cool and all that. For -some-, it's more entertaining to see a name character get punched and fly back into a wall and shatter the wall, then it is to a character get punched and simply double over and collapse.
Quote:I read an explanation before, don't remember if it was legit or fanboy, that among other reasons, Bruce doesn't want to get dependent on powersuits and the problems they have. But another thing is that Batman's main schtick is being essentially being a ninja, and he's better at that on his own. Really, when he's forced into a fight out in the open, especially with JLA level opponents, he's out of his ideal "Stalker" element. To be honest, there isn't anything (other than being lost in time) stopping Batman from creating the Batman Beyond suit or some equivalent to help him even the playing field between far superior foes. I know it is capable of taking blows from Superman.
Fans would wail though, since they already feel that Batman is too much like Iron Man, in the way that he has a gadget for everything. But come on....when you find yourself against powered enemies more often than normal for a non-powered hero, you kinda do need a gadget for everything. -
Ehhh.
Do not like the Transformers skeletal robot designs on the lions. -
No idea how this stuff works, but sure, why not. Count me in.

Quote:Oh yeah. Just like how fights in the comics, cartoons and movies all revolve around combatants constantly bunnyhopping, drive-by superspeed attacks, kiting, and 95% of the villains being assassins.I agree, a game revolving around super heroes/villains where they don't fight each other. It makes tons of sense.
Or like how, for all intents and purposes, Green Lantern is pretty much invincible due to his ability to lock down his opponents.
Yup, exactly like how superheroes and supervillains fight.
