I give it the newspaper test myself.

Say you are that editor of the Daily Bugle or the Daily Planet. The big front page story you had almost ready to break for your next issue turned out to be all wrong, so you need a replacement front page story by morning.

Which of these two headlines would you go with?

Ainfean valiantly thwarts a deadly plot to detonate a nuclear device in Hackensack New Jersey by the infamous Let Them Not Weep

The mysterious winged hero Cloud Ranger single handedly prevents the notorious Atom Master from shrinking the entire city of Seattle

However, I do think that Revolutions of Ruin would make a great villain group name at least, much better than a name for an individual villain.

That is highly unlikely. As an example of why, I have in front of me 2 different games for the Nintendo Wii: Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party 3, and Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Grooves.

In both of them, if you wish to do so, you can completely dress up male characters (both built in, and Miis) in any of the girls' outfits, and vise versa, no gender restrictions whatsoever.

Ratings on these two games? E (for Everyone). Well, Disney Grooves is plain E, HP3 is E-10+ (Mild Lyrics/Suggestive Themes).

So no, this would not change CoH's rating at all.
  3. Well, if it does work, hopefully the devs "fixing" it is a non-priority, as there does not seem to be any valid reason other than mule headed stubbornness for keeping heroes from having this title.
  4. Perhaps setting one's title as Pilot would keep the title even though the badge itself would turn to Grounded? That may be a workaround for heroes who want to be pilots. Anyone able to test this idea?

  6. If I were to take a hero all the way over to villain alignment, and then get the Pilot dayjob by hanging out near a Black Helicopter for 21 days, would he get to keep his pilot certification when he switches back to hero? Or would it get revoked or otherwise reverted to Commuter?

The smart thing for Serge to do would have them (at least the Tsoo) go out and defeat 20 Tsoo, like he makes everyone else do. Problem solved.

And now that it's been suggested, yes, I think this was done with Wormhole, since there were also a bunch staggering around stunned in there. And doesn't Wormhole stun as well?
  8. That warrants a hearty and heartfelt golf clap.
  9. Looks like the problem between Serge and the Tsoo is escalating. I just logged in one of my characters to get her Trucker badge (she is parked at the Steel Icon for Fashion Designer), and lo and behold, what do we have milling about?

How did these guys manage to get in here?

Now that fitness in inherent, they can take a travel power, and it was determined that Super Jump would be best for them.

Just like wings we could have a variety of recipes to choose from

    Jetpacks
    Hover Discs
    Flying Carpets
    Broomsticks
    Helicopter Backpacks
    Flying Boards
    Roller Blades
    Skate Boards
Pogo Stick (I'm spitballing for SJ)
    Unicycle
And ACME spring loaded shoes too. Don't forget those.
  12. Another solution is to use a confuse power on the trops tosser. If your secondary set has nothing for confuse, then you can always participate in a banner event and get the Seduction temp power. When she is confused, the caltrops will work against her and will not affect you.

This is one of the aspects of the game that rewards altitis. If you can resist turning tip missions into kill-alls (once you have a full load of tips), it should be pretty easy to blast through a set on a character, then move on to another character and do the same, and so on and so on, instead of just focusing on one character, and then waiting until that one can run tips again. Using enough alts, you can probably get a full PvP IO set in approximately the same amount of time it takes a single character to get 1 IO.

This can be illustrated with a riddle I remember in this Star Trek Puzzle Book I had back in grade school.

If it takes 1 Vulcan 2 minutes to eat 1 Vulcan pear. How long would it take 10 Vulcans to eat 10 Vulcan pears? (or something to that effect).
  15. Avid Reader is missable for now. Also, on the villain side, Efficiency Expert can be missed. You don't outlevel it, but you do only get one shot at it (not flashbackable as far as I know, and running the missions with someone else also does not award it).

    - Professional Liar (equivalent to Demagogue)

So heroes still can't get Pilot? So much for bothering to have any of my heroes temporarily side switch then.

Years later, I told friends about this scene, and they didn't believe me that it ever existed, until it appeared on a DVD. They were like wow, you really did see that, WTH Lucas!
Does anyone else recall an edition of A New Hope in the theaters where Han did not kill Greedo? I clearly remember when the movie made the rounds its third time (like a year before Empire hit), the encounter with Greedo went as far as "Yes, I'll bet you have", and then the scene cut away to the next Star Destroyer segment.

For years I thought it might have been a damaged reel my theater got. But after the Han Shot Second incident, I started having severe doubts about the damaged reel theory.

The greatest outrage with Ghost Widow is the unfair animated hair advantage she gets over everyone else.

    How to respec?

Respecs can also be purchased for 10 alignment merits. However, it may be more economical to use those on random rolls, craft and sell what you get, and buy a respec recipe from the market with plenty on inf left over.

You must have had a run of bad luck then. I am frequently aided by the likes of Silent Blade, Frostfire, Ravenstorm, Doc Quantum (I always make him help me instead of lead him to the exit), Overdrive, and others I can't recall. In fact, Overdrive has become one of my favorite sidekicks, even if she engages in Fusionette caliber recklessness.

Of course, there are several missions where the rescuees are not combat hostages, but they do often tell you so in one way or another.
  23. I just did another random roll. This was on a level 35 character, and I went with the 30-34 range. Here is what he got with what the best of the last five crafted currently show:

    Entropic Chaos: Dam/End/Rech (6,000,000)
    Touch of Death: Acc/Dam/End (20,000,000)
    Touch of Death: Dam/End/Rech (15,000,000)
    Kinetic Combat: Dam/End/Rech (135,000,000)
Impeded Swiftness: Chance for Smashing Damage (25,000,000)

The K-Combat was the big crown jewel of the roll. The Impeded Swiftness proc could have been, except that since it requires an Soul Trapped Gem, it would be better to sell it uncrafted, and get 20,000,000 out of it, instead of wasting the rare salvage for the same overall net take).

And in 4 days time, I will try it again with him, since it will take that long to get another 2 hero merits. He should still be 35 (from 36-39, they will be spent on individual pieces various alts need, since they will rack up fast enough that he would not be able to spend them all on random rolls fast enough anyway).
