Well, if we can't have /ah in the base, why not bring the mountain to us ...
Any way we can get access to our stash in the base while in the AH?
Sommat like :
/storage01
/storage02
/storage03
...
/storage99
Hell, I'd pay points for it -
It isn't so bad now, but I have seen a number of people moaning about the lag when near AE buildings.
Don't know how big a issue it is, but I have thought of a solution:
Make the insides of the AE buildings a fully fledged zone much like portal D.
But, you may say, that would mean that you could go from any zone to any other, nah, thought of that one, only one entrance/exit door, much like the base entrance, so you return to the zone that you entered from.
Would mean, if you log out in AE then it would "eject" you, and you would be standing outside when you log back in, but I can live with that.
Not sure if a communial "base" type zone for AE would be easy, but instancing it should keep the numbers manageable. -
I know you said keep it to the list, and I did vote "story", but I thought I'd just mention, my #1 feature that I love about CoX is:
Well, hard to choose, so I'm going to pick two
The SK/Exemp system.
and
The way missions scale to the group size. -
No idea what the devs have planned, but I just thought of a funky idea: Mission credits.
You get 1 each time you complete a mission, and each time you skip a mission you use up one. So in effect you have to do at least half of the missions in the game as for each one you skip, you have to of build up some credit first.
maybe even give a limit to the number you can stockpile too.
Oh, and make any badge/temp power mission unskippable, as I'd never want to skip them, perhaps warn you, some people are weird -
Why not make the buff stations a reprocess station: turn salvage into insperations.
The basic salvage would turn into the smallest, and the rare salvage into larget insperations.
Rather than have all this complicated doohicky of stacking buffs and the like and having only a limited time to use it before it wears off. -
Very nice for "spot" decorations.
It appears however, that tech has more items than arcane, how about an arch with the logo as a "hologram" in the middle of the arch?
The other thing that needs a tweak is the floor tile. It is nice if all you want is a single tile in the middle of a room or part of a design.
But the way I would want to do floor tile(s) is to do the whole floor, which means really having the SG logo as a "texture" you can pick for the floors, this would also make get round the problem that you can't place anything on the floor tile.
Additionally, a few variations on the floor pattern might be an idea. I suggest having at least three:
1. SG logo with colours the normal way round.
2. SG logo with colours reversed.
3. SG logo with half the tiles normal, half the tiles reversed, in a chessboard type pattern. -
I can't wait for I7 now *squeeeeee*
Almost tempted to hold off playing my archer to get the full benefit of the changes -

Making an absolute statement like "Mayhem Missions are versus Longbow" based on a single screen shot is a stretch, to say the least.
From that screen shot, the most you can realistically say is that "IF that is a shot of a Mayhem Mission, then SOME of them will have Longbow in them."
[/ QUOTE ]
QFT - that is just an example of a group that might be in a Mayhem Mish.
Anyway, most of the mayhem missions will be in Oranbega...
*ducks*
JUST KIDDING! please don't hurt me...

Now that *is* pure evil -

It is PvE and PvP for a variety of reasons.

Are snipes going to be replaced with anything useful then? -

I love the unlockable contacts. There are just some issues with them:
- the requirements for some are off (like Lunata requiring the Ghost badge between lvl 5 and 10 when the foes are around lvl 14)
- what was said, the requirements are almost impossible to find out without guides
- what bugs me most: once you've missed out on a hidden contact, that was it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed.
What I'd suggest, is that once you have unlocked a "hidden" contact, all your current contacts gain a mission of "go see x" much like the annoying security chief missions in CoH.
Additionally, I'd make the level range for these contacts as wide as physically possible, obviously the foes you fight in the story are going to limit it to some point, but as noted, most of them are quite tight.
One I've noticed, needs the bling badge, which I've only just got because I've been in SG mode all the time but I've outleveled the contact by many levels. -

Phase shift was nerfed because it was being used for herding.

Bwhaahahaaa, I tried using PS for herding like you suggest, and it was about as effective as herding cats ... stuff lost interest way too easy. -
Then he must of been named after this m1
-
Just a thought, but if the number of tabs are too much why not split them by complete / incomplete?
I would also love it if you could "hide" your contacts that don't have any missions for you, because after you have done with a contact they are just so much junk on the list. -

First...I confirm that we're working on right now (as in pohsyb in the next room) to add CoV costume parts into CoH if you own both games....
Then we repeal the hated stealth nerf. The reason why: many well reasoned posts. It's that simple. You guys pointed out the problems.
AND now...we're changing the way Archvillains spawn. A ton of forum goers disliked adding so many AV's into missions a while back...so we've come up with a solution. If the team size and mission difficulty are ABOVE a certain level, an Archvillain spawns. Below that, players will face only an Elite Boss. If the mission is set on the first two levels of difficulty, it takes 4 heroes or more to spawn an Arch Villain. On the third level, 3 heroes or more. On the fourth level, 2 heroes. On the highest (Invincible), a solo hero will spawn an AV. Note this works in BOTH City of Heroes and Villains.
In order to incentivize larger teams, Positron is going to add a bonus to AV rewards!

Cool! -
Easy! Make the Civilians targetable in CoV, then, when they annoy you...blow them away!
Additonally, make them run *away* from the bad guys ...
Fair enough in CoH they don't fear you (the hero) but surely in CoV shouldn't they um, like notice you?
Actially, in CoH, we should be able to interact with them "this way to safty m'am!" (thinks of booster gold!) -
Personally I prefer melted cheese or honey on mine
-
Bit OT, but I played a wizard, fire spec, but sheesh, did I hate the buffing that the rest of the group kept asking for.
However I'm sure that buff got me into groups tho O.o
It was really painful being the lowest level by quite a margin and doing naff all damage to the target, then getting told to save my mana for the buff *cries* -
Can't kill even minion with a +3 slotted snipe now, even with aim.
(Although that gets very very close)
Buildup does however ....
Did start doing some tests on the controller but gave up because I got bored waiting for the powers to recharge. -
The only problem I've had with my blaster so far is the "aftercast delay" after using ranged shot, it's significant, I can't follow up my snipe with another attack for a second or two ...
-
Well thats one way (and is a lot more simple for the devs to implement than my sugesstion) of making pool powers worth it.
However, It's all gotten a bit confusing now, and I think it's would be a good idea, to post up a tabulated list of all the various powers, and defence they give, with values.
I just can't help having this niggling feeling that one or more powers have been overlooked. -
Ouch! that must be one huge log file ....
The pile of CD-Rs must fill a room or two by now -
Great idea! Shadow shard really needed some way of getting around as it's so large.

That about sums it up.
I found the best way to use it was to fall from a great hight until your on virtually no hp, and it kicks in, then drop into a pack of orange critters (16 or less) and then nova.
Which I actually found hard to do, I have 6 slotted health and my regen brought it down halfway before nova went off.
Too much hassle if you ask me, so I won't be aiming to try and use it, and if I'm in a group with any form of healing then I doubt it will come into play, unless it's a wipe in which case I might drop the odd extra mob before I faceplant. -

The NCSoft bag? [Interested]
[/ QUOTE ]
So Statesman, when can we expect the City of NCSoft Bags expansion?
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh, bag scrapper, just let those hellions try to mug that old lady
Mind you, could work as pool set:
* Bag swipe - melee smash
* Bag Jerk - knockback - but towards player
* Bag Roundhouse - cone melee smash
* Bag Lob - like icepatch, but at range, they slip on the contents of the bag as it spills out
Hmm, actually, would work better as a temp power? ^^ -
