Everything I've seen of the upcoming season looks great.
This show made my wife into a little baby. She's always that tough girl in haunted houses laughing at people jumping out and trying to scare her, but something about this series just hit a nerve and she has a zombie nightmare at least once a week during the Walking Dead season.
I say it's because she didn't see any zombie movies growing up, so she didn't build up a tolerance. She thinks it's because there isn't any real resolution to the series.
Either way, win-win. It makes for some funny moments!

Unfortunately, I'll have to wait till it comes out on DVD. Dish and AMC are in a spat right now and those channels disappeared.
And Talking Dead and Comic Book Men at 11p an 1a.

For anyone who's read the comic: do we know why the prisoners didn't try exactly what Rick and his gang were doing? Seems like they could have secured the prison themselves.

If this season follows the comics general arc for the Prison she should be dead at the end of the season.

The Cafeteria was locked from the outside if I recall which I believe was how it was in the comics. The guards left them stocked with food so they could hold out for a while.

I woulda thought Andrea would be a bit more distrusting than she is. Woodbury had a very definite Stepford Wives feel about it, IMO. The willfully ignorant don't see what they don't want to see, I guess.
Though it did seem like Merle was having second thoughts about the Guard situation. Nice to see they kept the Governor's...entertainment...system.
Also, new season rawks.
The guy playing the Governor is also British. Are all these actors born able to do an American accent?

Gotta say, I did not see that coming. I agree with what they said during Talking Dead: it felt like a season finale rather than the 4th episode of the season. Still six more this season! Time to conflagrate!
Taking their time to set up the Governor as an epic villain against Rick's Badass Hero means a potentially big finale. I have the comics but haven't read them yet, and although I know they aren't following the book exactly, I suspect there are broad strokes of the plot they're echoing.

Agreed, did not see Lori going down this early, thought they would save that to the end of the season (also though thsi season was 16 eps? taking a break after 8 then the next 8)
...But (puts the tinfoil hat on) we never did actually see Carl shoot Lori did we? Maybe he never could actually go through with it and she pulls through somehow etc...
Either way it's a nice split from the comics, Also love how they're slowly building the underlying tension with the Governor.

I can't really see any conceivable way that Lori could pull through. I mean, she was basically gutted and left on the floor to bleed out. Carl is, I think, strong enough now that he could pull the trigger on her.
