The Cafeteria was locked from the outside if I recall which I believe was how it was in the comics. The guards left them stocked with food so they could hold out for a while.
  2. Looks like I have a lot of sifting to do at the book store this weekend. Thanks guys for all the advice.
  3. Cool thanks for the info. I have a vague recolection of seeing the Thrawn books mentioned here on another thread but I couldn't remember what the name. Thanks!
  4. The A-Team was a pretty fun movie. Just be prepared to switch your brain off. Also Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was quite awsome. It might not be available anymore but Kick *** was kick ***. Other than that I'm not all that sure whats available
  5. Happy almost New Year to everyone.

I was wondering if I could appear to your collective knowledge. I bought a copy of Death Troopers for a friend of mine as a Christmas present and while I was at the book store looking through the SW novels it kind of piqued my interest. Now I have no idea if Death Troopers is good or not, it just happened to be on sale and my friend has a particular fascination with storm troopers (after reading the back I realized it wasn’t really about stormtroopers but it was the closest thing they had). I was wondering if you guys could turn me on to some good Star Wars novels. The era doesn’t really matter just hoping to find some before bed reading. Thanks for your help.
  6. Congrats on finding and artist for your webcomic. Things like that happen every day. I was with a friend at the book store a couple weeks ago and she happened to strike up a conversation with the guy selling Nook's. Somehow she mentioned that she does freelance A/V work and it turns out he was a part time professor at the local community college. He knew another professor there that needed some help filming a class she taught and thus a job was earned. You never know where that will happen, you just have to keep you ears open and take your shots when they present themselves. That same thing holds true for meeting people.
  7. This was by far and away the best Robot Chicken Star Wars Special. The sketch with Anakin and Padme in her chamber for discussing non-sexual matters was brilliant. I may have peed a little from laughing.
  8. Its disapointing but it might not be such a bad thing. IM2 wasn't bad I just didn't get enough hot Iron Man action. Hopefully the next guy will get the actiony bits right.
  9. In the match up of Aliens vs. Marines, I will take Marines.
  10. Watchmen is a really good Blu-Ray movie. Movies that feature a lot of color like that and Avatar are very good on Blu-Ray.
  11. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that I was hoping it would be good because it was Carrie Fisher. For my part, I was hoping I'd get an interesting story about her crazy life. But I didn't even really get that. There were some interesting portions, but again though the really bad delivery I just didn't recieve it well. I'll have to check out Post Cards from the Edge. But man did life her hard.

I will say, maybe this is just me but it was very strange to hear her talk about how she "was hot." Not that she is now, but it sounded like she talking about another person.
  12. I just finished Ex-Heroes (which I heard about on another thread here). It wasn't a bad zombie story. It wasn't the best book I've ever read, but it was an entertaining zombie story. My biggest complaint was I wanted more.
  13. Did anyone else catch this last night? If not I'm sure HBO will show it over and over again. For anyone who may not have, Carrier Fisher (Princess Leia) did a one woman show about her life. When I heard about it I had high hope for it. I was disappointed. A big piece of it was about Star Wars (she did have a good line about George Lucas owning the rights to her likeness including her bajingo). I was more interested in why she dropped off the face of the Earth. But her bad delivery and now very manish voice just left me very unhappy with the whole thing. How did you guys feel? Maybe I'm being overly critical and wanted too much from it.

  15. Sigh. Caps lose last night to the Rangers. Hopefully a rally is in the works.
  16. MM you are by far not alone. Its funny you bring it up I was talking to a friend of mine about it yesterday.

I'd love to. Every group I get together for it on Virtue bails when they find out they wont have all their powers so I haven't had a chance to run it yet.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh. Those Virtue whineypants need to grow a pair and just get through the first two missions. The arc's geared to 50s, but the first two environments are "virtual". It's not like the missions are HARD, geez. :P

BTW: I'd really recommend my arc for lvl 50s in a solo environment (since a lot of the "mish complete" text isn't available to all players unless they're the mission holder - a thoughtful team leader will copy/paste it in team chat though).

Or the mission creator could just grace us with his presance and give a live reading.

    Announcing!

    Hey Foo,

I have a toon I think I'd like to see immortalized by your talented pen. I'll have to wait to email directly though till I get off work. Hope you feel better.
  20. Any of you guys have any interest in getting together to run Turg's arc? I can work it in pretty much any time since its not a huge time commitment.
  21. My curiousity has been peaked. I will examine.
  22. It sounds like this week is out. If no TF then perhaps a get together for some good old fashioned missions? Now that I14 is live how bout running an MA arc or two.
  23. What if we move it back a day to sat afternoon?
  24. On another matter. If anyone is over on Test looking for an arc to try out I posted the first four missions of one im working on called Resistance. The mission ID is 21414. It's long but if anyone's willing to give it a run I'd appreciate any feedback you have. It's still very much a work in progress.
  25. Alright, we've got a week to get the word out and hopefully tare some COers away from MA. So here it is again. Sister Psyche run, Friday April 10, at 9pm. Be there or be square.
