once coh goes out, my stress relief game will be gone. it was an awesome thing to be a hero or villain and forget bout RL in general for awhile.
now i'm trying to find a game that will help with that.
rift, wow, and swtor doesnt do cause we all know how they are.
just wondering if you guys had any recommendations on any good games to play that are fun and interesting.
thanx

What systems?

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

OK, since I'm going to be leaving sooner or later, I'll just provide a variety of suggestions.

PC:
Can't go wrong with Portal and Portal 2. Bastion is a game that looks amazing, but I haven't played it yet.

MMOs
I've played Champions Online and DCU Online, and I can't recommend either, though DCUO held my interest longer than CO. The Secret World is the only other MMO out there that looks interesting to me, but I haven't played it. The Marvel Universe MMO is going to be like Diablo, so I don't think it's worth waiting around for that, since I'm not the biggest Diablo fan.

PS3:
Uncharted 2 and 3
Mass Effect 2 and 3
God of War III
Resident Evil 4
Dishonored (releases 10/9)
Fallout III
BioShock
Darksiders II
InFamous
Journey
Valkyria Chronicles

I only had a 360 for a short time, so I'll let someone else do that list.

iOS:
Hero Academy

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

They are coming out with a bundle of all 3 Mass Effect games in November, iirc. Don't think it includes DLC, but it will include ME1 for the PS3.

XBox 360:

Catherine
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine
Transformers: War For Cybertron & Fall of Cybertron
Dante's Inferno
Splatterhouse
Tales of Vesperia
Lollipop Chainsaw
Bioshock
Afro Samurai
Batman: Arkham Asylum & Arkham City
Bayonetta
Red Faction: Guerilla

PC:
Check out gog.com if you are interested in older games and DRM free ones.

Champions has changed a bit, since it started. A bit better than it used to be, but still a bit scarce on content for someone accustomed to City.

I'm actually considering LotRO and DDO, particularly LotRO, because they are solidly Different experiences than City.

For the same reason, I may try out Secret World, but I'm a bit disturbed by the idea of no real Heroes or heroic factions. I've kinda become addicted to the heroic experience.

Remember the first time you heard a passing civilian say, "My cousin would be dead if it weren't for <insert Your Name>."?

i got CO reinstalled. i am a lifetime sub there, but everytime i go to play it just aint the same.
well i have been looking at city of steam and it looks interesting. in the CB for it and it starts in nov. so looking forward to that.
been trying secret world and so far i like it, but finally figure out my crashing issue.
and then tonite when i was finally getting into it, game ran out of memory. running 3gb of ram. but i can see why since it is heavily graphical.

I'm having fun with Fallen Earth: Welcome to the Apocalypse on Steam. It's a free-to-play MMO with a decent Fallout / Mad Max sorta feeling. It seems to be really solo-heavy, but that suits me just fine.

Devs would post more if they could say "hi!" without people whining because they wanted them to say "hello".

You might want to wait until November 30 when Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition comes out.

Yep - right now they are committed to PC, Mac, iPad, and Android. They want to do Linux but it's up in the air at this point.

There's something to be said for playing the originals. I mean, sure, I joined the Kickstarter for the remake of Leisure Suit Larry 1, but it wouldn't mean as much to me if I didn't play the original.

Been playing Torchlight 2 lately, lots of fun and alot of improvments over the first one.

COH/CoV - Virtue
8 Ball - Lev 50 Kin/Energy Defender
The Canadian Fist - Lev 50 Ice/EM Blaster

Omega Ghost - Lev 50 Robo/Dark MM
Ghostfall - Lev 50 Arachnos Crab Soldier

I picked up the first Torchlight for $10 at OfficeDepot, one of the few places that still have $10 old PC games that isn't a Mahjong, Casino or Bejeweled clone shovelware.

You can easily spot the Diablo I+II bloodlines in the game. Nice mindless clickfest.

Finally played some Torchlight 2 this morning. As FX says, mindless clickfest but I'm enjoying it.

Be well, people of CoH.

The developers have made it pretty clear that they want to support as many mods as possible.

This isn't really a remake, though. They are adding a few things, and they are updating it to support new operating systems and higher resolution screens, and stuff like that, but it's still the original game.

Well, looking at your sig you are going to hate what I am about to suggest....I have been quite happily stumbling and bumbling around in Guildwars2. I say stumbling and bumbling because I am still learning the mechanics of it all, but I am in awe of what I have seen of the game so far. Beautiful, beautiful game.

And Last night, I saw a Charr in the starting place named Steelclaw..not sure if our Steelclaw is tired of Diablo3 and is giving Guildwars2 a try, or this is another Steelclaw, but it brought a smile to my face.

Lisa-Bumbling about in Guildwars2 but hoping with all my soul that NCSOFT sells City Of Heroes to a company that will cherish us.
