Is anyone getting the monthly stipend?

So, my primary account is subscribed into 2013. Typically on the 7th I get my 550 points -- so far nothing has shown up. Has anyone entered that window of time and *not* received their monthly stipend?

That would really be annoying if that process was discontinued.

I would bet it was disabled when they made the change so all the VIPs wouldn't drop down to Premium.

Also, it's possible that any of our subscribed time after the announcement last week will be refunded (AFAIK, in the past they've gone off of the announcement date, not the server shutdown date).

My Billing Summary page shows my Renewal Date to be Nov. 28 and it shows my previous points have been awarded on the 29th of the month. It will be a while before I can tell if they are still awarding points.

You may want to log in to your account on the NCSoft site and check the Billing Summary to see what it shows.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Sorry to break this to you.No new points. Live market down as of 9-1. Some people have reported that they were able to purchase items, but officially it's down.
I,also, recently read that people are get NCSoft credits for the subscription money owed back to them, rather than real money.
Good Time

It's like trading in real money for itchy and scratchy money at itchy and scratchy land lol.

1. The monthly VIP stipend has nothing to do with the Paragon Store. It has to do with recurring subscriptions

2. All recurring subscriptions were cancelleled at the beginning of September, so people shouldn't be getting VIP perks because they can't pay for additional time, unless the devs managed to negotiate something with NCSoft to let them continue being awarded.

3. The Market isn't down. Purchases can still be made. The only thing disabled is the ability to buy more Paragon Points. And why anyone would want to throw good money away buying more points after NCSoft just kicked us in the balls is beyond me.

4. Being given credit towards other games has been a long standing NCSoft policy for many years whenever they shut down a game. Yes it sucks if you don't want to deal with NCSoft again but it's not as if this was a new policy being done just to us.

It may be there policy to give NCSoft credits but I didn't pay for an NCSoft game, I paid for CoH. I'll happily take them to small claims court if they want to try to pull that on me.

@Doctor Gemini

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.

Yeah. If I recall, that was one of the many ways NCSoft tried to herd the Tabula Rasa player base into Aion.

I'm lucky enough not to have pre-paid any months; I just leave my card on autofire. It is complete B.S. to give someone who might have purchased up to a year ahead of time, for example, "NCSoft credit" though. Do they not realize that the majority of us will never touch another one of their products again?

Sadly, they may be counting on it. Free money for them.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

Which is owned by NCSoft making it an NCSoft game.

Notice how the NCSoft logo is clearly marked on the bottom left corner?

Yeah you do that. Please try to get it put on the People's Court or Judge Judy so everyone can enjoy laughing at you as you make a fool of yourself.

It's a pity we're not getting points, because I used a 3 month subscription key to be able to play as VIP these last days and it would have been cool to be able to use this to my advantage at the store.

It would also be great if they just gave us everything that was scheduled to be released over the next three months.

It would also be cool if they made everyone VIP and gave us tons of PP. I mean, if we're going down, let's go down with a bang.

It would also be great if the game wasn't freaking ending.

Sure, but there are things that can easily be given and those which can't.

Game not ending - nearly impossible.
Push updates to everyone - not without any devs around.
Giving us stuff for free to have fun - pretty easy to do.
Giving us stuff we were supposed to be getting - probably trivial.

If by stuff for free to have fun, you mean beta quality access to the paragon market for everyone... Cringe. The workaholic min/maxer inside of me would probably have a heart attack if all of a sudden the game was full of freely purpled, decked out characters with everything +5 boosted at no cost to the user. I want my mains to go out with the integrity they earned. I don't want it to be eclipsed by a Paragon Point free-for-all.

Yeah, that goes without saying, but it's not a likely outcome. Still hoping tho.

You're not very bright are you Forbin?

1. Most companies give in to any small claims legal proceedings immediately. Why? Because the legal costs of fighting it are almost always higher than the actual claim, and companies don't care about fighting things on the "principle" of the matter.

2. Not everyone lives in America with your crappy legal system.

Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.

BattleEngine - "And the prize for the most level headed response ever goes to Mazey"
