Unleash Rularuu the Ravager on the City...
That'd work for me.
Make the last action at the Portal Corp, getting as many citizens off this doomed place as we can in a last-ditch suicide mission to save as many as we can.
That's going out in style.
Makes the most sense, as he is a dimension gobbling entity.
Also makes sense with his model already being ingame (since nothing new will be made)
Just have the Shadow Shard break and THE Rularuu appear in Atlas, the Heroes eyes widen at the sudden appearance, but before they can react, fade to white.
Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard
Keep Calm & Chive On!
make it in Atlas
Thelonious Monk
He has reason to. I can't imagine Wade's actions didn't piss him off.

I disagree, as I have in previous years. To me, the game shouldn't end feeling like we ultimately lost. That would be just adding insult to injury, I think. If anything I want to end the game as I lived it - being a badass, saving the day and seeing a world that will live on another day. Or, alternately, being a badass and pulling off an amazing villainous plot that takes me one step closer to my ultimate goal without actually reaching it.
I'd sooner have something half-finished sitting around as a monument to all we've achieved than to take a hammer to what we've worked on so hard for so long just because we'll never finish it.
To me, the game shutting down is no different from my characters hitting level 50. I've done all I could, I've saved the world a bunch of times, and the story goes on without me, while I go make another character to experience it all again. To me, having played the game is finality enough. I don't want to leave on a "downer" ending. I'd rather let the game go and let it sit as it was when I left it, rather than ride it until it breaks.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

I like this idea - the winning.
I'd MISS beating up on certain things, but that was the GAME.
I don't think it should be the last WEEK though. People will burn through that in the first DAY! ^_^
Maybe make it so the 3rd or 2nd to last day is when things start to stay defeated.
Then it becomes a 3 day party at the end.
Addendum:
I don't know HOW the hell you'd CODE that, though.
I don't even know if whoever is left has the keys to flip those switches. *sad*
Too bad! I love the idea of everything we heroes fix, staying fixed, until the final Game Down.

Heh, Maybe I'd finally be in a successful hami raid.
I agree. Go the opposite way with it. In the final week of the game, make it so things we defeat stay defeated. A successful hami raid means hami is dead and gone for good, never to come back. Dead mobs don't respawn. Let us spend our last week winning. And shut the game down because we finally cleared up Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, and there's nothing left to fight.

They'd like the game to end with all the heroes cast through a portal to a dying Praetoria never to return.
Freedom at last.
Please buff Ice Control.
Yea, gotta even it out. If the villains are kicked out of Paragon, the heroes must be kicked out of the Rogue Isles.
I wouldn't mind a "fade to white" ending. Rularuu returns, the might of the world is thrown at him...then roll credits. How does it end? We can all decide that for ourselves.

I'd rather see it all go up in smoke, with the heroes doing something actually heroic...sacrificing themselves to save others as they escape inevitable doom.
This is what I would like to see....Hami raiding Atlas...or an invasion of Hamis...or Hamii followed by Rularuu and Mot and then every AV....and the heavens open and the ghost of Statesman joins the fight...the main heroes also join in the fight until.....evil is defeated
....and then we get to see Paragon as it was before....no giant energy walls...no hazard zones...just one massive city...that you can fly from Atlas to PI without the trains.
There is a huge ceremony on the steps of city hall and mayor thanks all of us for fighting the good fight and making the city whole again. "For 8 years we have learned that for every evil that spawns from the darkness a shining hero rises to do battle with it. We were broken and bloodied and discouraged...but we did not give up the fight. We continued to rise while we fought enemies foreign and domestic, alien and all too familiar. On this day you have cried out to the heavens that Paragon is a City of Heroes, not to be trifled with. I declare that this day, November 30th will forever be known as City of Heroes Day."
Fade to white
"I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams." Aunt May SM2
i dreamed a dream, but now that dream is gone...good bye Paragon
It is the end of days.
Let it be by Pseudo Galactus' hands.
