So, where do we all go now?
Not sure where I am heading after this. For me City of Heroes is the best game I ever played. When I started 4 years ago I never thought I would enjoy an MMO, I had always been a RPG console gamer. But this game, and more importantly this server, became so much more than I ever thought it could. The community that has been built up has become a second family to me. Even if I did not "talk" often with alot of you I knew who you were. I am going to miss all of you.
I am going to try starting up a Kitchen Facebook group. If your interested in joining my facebook is www.facebook.com/rkendzierski. Now I am going to go kick something very, very, very hard.
Thanks for all the years of fun and laughter. You all are the best.
NY, I have a lifetime sub to LOTRO, so if it doesnt close down next week. Where do I find you. I would be honored to make a female Bowyer around and follow you like a lost puppy dog, all the time being spurred in favor of a dwarven cleric or whatever they're called there.

I am in the kinship (supergroup) Warriors of the West. We do some of the raids, though most of us are casual players and it's made of some real life friends.
I also share a house with Warface (he was in the game for awhile) in Bree.
I can only state that I know who my next MMO will not be published by... Not a company that undervalues its community of content developers and its clients.
I have been looking into the "secret societies / conspiracy" MMO, and am still awaiting patiently for that FTP online mecha game coming soon. Nothing official except "no elves". |
Well, i'm hanging around the Mechwarrior online forums as NeedleFingers (Although i post just as much as i did here... Not very) Although i'm always lurking. As for other games, i don't think there is a game that can fill the void of City of Heroes, it was just in a league of it's own. You folks are what made this game what it is, a great second home.
No idea where to park my online gaming avatar. Over eight years I tried other MMO's but never bothered to cancel my City of Heroes subscription as I always came wandering back. I hit the multiplayer on Mass Effect 3 every so often, but that's about it. Can't see myself reinstalling Champions Online or DCU Online, and Marvel's Superhero Squad is a bit beyond me.
I tried Fallen Earth and it was not for me.
I will give Mechwarrior a good hard look (wish it had more of an RPG element though)
I will also be starting to fool around with Minecraft.
The Elder Scrolls Online might be interesting when it is ready
And if SWtOR ever goes F2P I will check it out.

Quasar Eclipse: 50 Warshade.

You can find me on Steam as ura_hero. In World of Warcraft on odd occasions on Drenden as Fayell. Most other places I am ura hero or ura_hero if spaces are not allowed in a handle.
I'm not sure where I will end up MMO wise. I haven't found any place comfortable to settle.
For those who I sent Facebook or Google+ requests to in case you may not know my real name, it is Richard Palmer. I'm not terribly hard to find, just look for Oolong.
Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
I don't know where I'll go.
If Bethesda's Zenimax Online company ever makes the Fallout MMO (long story short: They have the rights to Fallout Online, now), I'll probably go there.
Then again, there's rumors that maybe the Dev team from here still has something in the works... And maybe... Just maybe if they make a CoH 2, I'll jump on that.
For now... I think I'll focus on making something creative instead of playing it. Don't get me wrong, playing this creative thing has been immeasurably fun. I thank you all for the pleasure of having known you, even if it was just your personality.

I am currently playing GW2. Yea, I know, ebil NCSoft game - but I pre-purchased it 4-5 months ago, so I might as well get my moneys worth.
I may go back to SW:ToR, we will see how the play is these days. I was pretty serious about it for 2 months or so after release but then I let my suscription lapse.
I have tried DCUOnline, wasn't that impressed although it was a fun fighting game for a couple of weeks, I might try champions though.

Also, as a side note, I'm preparing to TRY to download the entirety of Paragon Wiki, just in case it gets shut down for lack of use or whatever. Dunno if I'll have space on my hard drive, though. >.> It's been downloading for almost 11 hours now.
I tried The Secret World and a loving it. It has got a decent community and a couple of COH players and I have started a Cabal there on the Templar side. The one thing I will miss is the COH community and so we are gonna try to build a new community there.
If you find yourself in The Secret World, look us up at victorious-secrets.net

Hi all,
I have played a few games recently, Star Wars The Old Republic and The Secret World in particular. Both have their own merits and greatly depend on your play style.
The Secret World is very openly based, you get to an area that might have something going on at the time or there could just be a mission giver. I will say this: It is not a direction based game, it is more of a bread crumb style. Some times you'll get very clear instructions other times you'll get nearly no instruction. Also, there is literally zero classes, kind of like champions you can pick powers, though with Secret World you can only have two weapons equipped at a time there is a quick change to two alternative weapons, the idea is limitless possibilities. And you can literally pick any power from any weapon, you just have to equip the weapon to use it. (there are tiers to keep people from going right for that final power) [Will update this section with server and Character name]
Star Wars The Old Republic is a little more story focused, lots of choice and interaction with groups. However: This game is very solo intensive, unlike City of Heroes you find an area and there might be one other person there doing a different mission or that is way ahead of you on the same mission. It is also has a bit of a glass ceiling where if you miss one mission along the way you'll be too low level to complete your current mission without help or back tracking to complete that last bit of level you need. Of note, there is currently a trial program where you can play all the way to level 15 without purchasing the game, if I recall correctly.
Main server: The Harbinger, Main character: Kalvitorvook
Both have announce free to play by years end (though some may call that a bad thing).
On the Cryptic side of things, they are currently in development of Dungeons and Dragons Neverwinter (might just be called Neverwinter) slated for release next year.

Diffidentia Angelus - 50 Willpower/Dual Blades Tanker
Solar Baron - 50 Fire Blast/Energy Manipulation Blaster
Adonis Soul - 50 Earth Control/Storm Summoning Controller

I'll probably give Champions Online another go-round after November 30th. My in-game handle is Kreetch, and my main character (at the moment) is called Cinnamon.
I've installed Steam but did not find any games to tickle my fancy yet. Tried TF2, but too "twitchy" for me (and I find the controls to be not "keyboard-friendly" - I don't own a game controller and I don't like to play with the mouse). My handle there is "archiviste_qc" and I'm a member of Vorac's "Protector_Server" group.

I'm thinking about Secret World, but man this sucks.
