The next target will be the Fantastic Four - it's going to take several box offic catastrophes before they can get Spider-man back.

But within the wider Marvel movie universe - which is the reason why people are happy they got the rights back

Eh. I wouldn't call the original daredevil movie anything sacred. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. I enjoyed it but it's not going to break my heart if they do another one to make it canon for the Marvel Movieverse.

The Kingpin was the only good thing about Daredevil, oh and Joe Pantoliano being in it... I kinda like him... well, I guess Ben was okay... not good, but okay (in fact, he only rates okay because he likes the comic and is attractive).

With all the "Nuuuu...not another remake" I just find it funny people are okay with this being remade.

Another origin movie! When the last one was an origin movie.

He was better than some of the choices that have been cast as super heros by Hollywood in the past.

Honestly I'm wondering just how many origin movies we can get out of putting movies into the Marvel Movieverse when things like the Avengers make national news. Kind of takes a lot of the 'oomph' of 'I'M A SUPERHERO' when someone can go "yeah? Welcome to the club".

As for the nu remakes sentiment... it's pretty understandable, people don't want -good- movies remade. They were already good to begin with and lightning rarely strikes twice in these cases (Like Spiderman. 3 was awful, buuut, iunno, call me non-plussed about the reboot). But Daredevil was a mediocre (average at best) movie. it has good qualities to it but for the most part it's forgettable. A remake may actually turn out better. I mean really that's sort of what -should- be the idea of a remake, taking something that didn't do so well and trying again. Problem is, Hollywood is so phobic about losing money they'd rather 'play it safe' and just remake already successful franchises because they know that even if it tanks they can usually break even just based on the brand name. (The Final Fantasy principle)

Let's not start a list or we'll be adding names all the way back to at least the 70's. <shudder>

The theatrical version of Daredevil was meh. The directors cut is actually well worth watching.

Does it have less "normal trial lawyer suddenly has a high-tech arsenal of technologically advanced weapons and a sensory deprivation automated sleep chamber?"

If so, I might consider telling someone else they maybe should check it out, if they get the chance.

Well, though I'd have much preferred the deal they were rumored to be working out (Fox gets an extension on the DD deadline in exchange for Silver Surfer and Galactus going back to Marvel), anytime a Marvel character goes back to Marvel an angel get's it's wings....or something.

Outside of his club which could double as a grapple, what exactly was high tech?

Actually it was decided to go the musical route on all future Marvel super hero movies and cast muppets.

I'm good with all of those casting choices Forbin.

No.

Not even.

Fortunately Stan Lee's cameo was somewhere within the first 10 to 15 minutes of that abortion, so you can stop watching right there.
