Hopefully the Controller and Corruptor Poison: Alkaloid can get the Regrowth treatment since it's a Tier 1 that can only be used on allies and that's problematic since unlike MMs they don't get pets until much later.

There's a number of sets I wish they'd give this treatment to. Though I'm not sure it'll work the way we'd hope. Regrowth works on us because it's a self targeted cone, -we're- the target. Nothing in NA let's you target someone explicitly and still get the benefit.


I do love the philosophy though of making support sets work solo as well as on team play. That's what's kept me off of 'almost strictly team' sets like Empathy or Poison if I'm not using a Mastermind.

My understanding is Heals that grant +res (like reconstruction) are not affected by bonuses to Heal. Other self heals like Dull Pain, are.

The question still stands though. Are Reconstruction and similar heals being changed?

Yeah, Bio Armor should have definitely come first. Wasn't the last new defense set SHIELDS? Hate to whine, I'm just depressed we have to wait til like mid September for Bio Armor now...

Frankly I consider the Energy Aura revamp to be essentially a new set. At least in terms of the change in usefulness.

Thats the healing bonus which strengthens your healing powers. Bloom adds -res to healing to strengthen any incoming heals, which would be ignored by unresistable heals. After my last post I hopped onto beta to double check bloom's detailed info.

Didn't they already nerf the graphics significantly? I recall reading complaints about that in the Beta forums, that it had been reduced to "leaf control".

Only Regrowth's graphics ever changed, as it was the most spammable. Everything else stayed intact (and I hope it stays that way).

I was just thinking, not counting the free VIP ones coming in I24, this means they're going to be releasing 2 defense sets back to back if Radiation Armor is the next set to come out after these 2. Think it would have been better to space them out with Nature Affinity in between them. But I guess marketing 'knows what they're doing'...

I'm going to say that this is exactly why Nature is coming first.

Bio's gone through numerous iterations, where Nature's had very few tweaks, even to powers people perceive to be mediocre. Nature essentially hit beta and was ruled as "Done."

Thus it's the first one pushed out.

I really think it could have used more Dev attention, but Bio Armor stole all of Nature's thunder from the start. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, and all.

Sort of, but now ranged pets like punching things in the face.

That was my intention. I run pretty much every new support set through the ringer with a merc. But this one can be thematic with a number of sets. Leaf Ninja ((Don't punch me!)), ancient robots ((Like Castle in the Sky)) , peacefully rotting dead, Hippies ((Thug/nature)), earth demons, planetary defenders ((merc/nature))...this is going to be a lot of fun. It needs to come out in the next couple of weeks.

Also, totally going to make a plant/nature and find SOME variation of Green Thumb to work as a last name.

Very, very excited for this set. My original Plant controller was Plant/Rad... she'll be getting re-rolled as soon possible once this set goes live.

I tried NA in Beta on a Beast MM and it works GREAT in that combination.
