But yeah...they do have that stuff.
Mine was a bit of a joke, and I thought my second paragraph made that clear enough. Peacebringers and Warshades each get one contact that give an unending supply of bland council missions. Veats get a set of contacts, but I cannot in good conscience call what they have a "storyline."

My point is, DE are well enough integrated into the game's lore that I could chalk up ten missions, give a DE boss as the contact, and have the rough equivalent to other EATs. GG's concern is completely invalid.

Where to now?

"Nerf herders" is one of those terms like "fanboys" and "vocal minority" that start off meaning nothing and proceed to mean even less each time you use them.

I think that you're missing the point a bit - the DE, especially the Praetorian ones, are the enemy of every single faction and group in the game, so not noly is there zero reason for them to team up with non-DE, or even be allowed on a team, there's also no sustainable or fulfilling storyline for them.
Making them be a shapeshifter who could blend in with normal people still leads to a dead end - the DE are mindless monsters controled by the will of the Hamidon - their whole purpose is to destroy civilization and return the world to a pre-human state.
The only possible way a DE storyline could work would be for the player to start off as a captured Greater Devoured, and the theme of their misisons would be trying to turn back into the human they once were - but that wouldn't really be a DE AT, as the whole point would be to lose the DE influence on you and regain your humanity.

Stopping you right here, because you're creating a false limitation. Bane spiders are part of a mental network, but have been retconned to be able to break free and even join the ranks of heroes. There's no reason a DE can't have retained enough humanity to fight with heroes or on his own to take over the world. And this is just me spitballing a few ideas. More will come if allowed. Don't be so closed minded and unimaginative.

Indeed this is one of the plot points you come across in DA -- the follow-up to Vernon's arcs involving Pyriss.

I also have it on good authority (conversations I can't repost publicly) that a certain former dev wanted to do an epic archetype based on a praetorian DE that broke loose, and had even started implementing some of it in their spare time. The idea probably has been scrapped since then, however, in favor of other things.

Of course some random guy saying that on an internet forum has about as much weight as Forbin_Project claiming to be ex-CIA and have seen evidence of an alien squirrel invasion.

For you probably, although I suspect from the response alone you understand exactly what it meant as used if not no worries life goes on.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Me my first day at the Agency.

Me spying on the alien squirrels.

Me investigating the Alien Squirrels secret Moon Base.

Me in disguise and infiltrating one of their training camps

Me taking pictures of one of the Alien Squirrel terrorist training camps.

Proof of the Alien Squirrel threat.

Me leading a USMC strike team to attack the mutant alien squirrel invaders.

We were shocked at how large the mutant alien squirrels were but we still kicked their butts off Earth!

Whilst im getting moist at the fun ill have with water blast, im content to wait a little longer for it. Nature affinity and Bio armor I have literally no interest in, but i understand that they have to work on those too.

Rockshock (Druid Tanker), Medicat (Combat Medic), Dwarf From the North (Ice Mage), Rocket Gal (Energy Blaster), Graveborn (Undead Mastermind), Streeker (Punching Speedster), Op. Sidewinder (Recluse's pet Spider)

They are meaningless not because they literally have no meaning, but rather because people use them as a crutch to prop up weak arguments, using them to mean whatever is convenient for the current argument. These are labels that have been thrown around so much they have lost their meaning because everyone has been called everything at one point or another. These terms are meaningless because people abuse them with no basis or justification for their use.

Pure "jamming" nonsense. Everyone knows squirrels are controlled by the Illuminati.

They are not!

I resent that... mine are red.

I was really hoping we'd get it yesterday... Next week will be a lot busier for me, so now I'm content with them taking their time on it.

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.
