Rediscovery, Hama learned simply by trying it, Just like Toph learned Metal bending if you want to talk about unexplained abilities look no further than combustion man or fire benders creating lightning or Azula's signature blue fire

In the end, he's probably glad he got skipped over for that boat ride anyway.

Actually, I'm not he's horrible...even though the Boat SNL skit was pretty epic.

Assuming he survived being crumpled up and tossed against the wall like a rag doll.

It took me all of about 3 minutes after seeing my first episode of Avatar to wonder about the effect of waterbending on carbon-bags filled 80% with water. That and the possibilities of an airbender with the contents of someone's lungs.

Is it really so hard to imagine that someone besides Hama would actually try it?

I guess me and you are the only ones. Even if you consider the knowledge and technology back then I would of still tried to water bend after an animal drinks thinking that it would help me bend them...only to discover that they are mostly made out of water.

There are other tricks that I would try with the other elements also like making vacuums with airbending or pressurized globes of air ect.

Exactly what I've been trying to say. Give people some credit here. If given a tool, some folks can do some crazy things with it without the instruction of others.

It was stated to be something more akin to a freakish mutation(I.E. combustion man) than him discovering the secret. Yakone was specifically stated to just be some kind of bizarre psychic bloodbending outlier than him just being really good or training in bloodbending.

Avatar Kioshi deserves her on Series lol. She probably wouldn't need a team avatar lol...especially considering how powerful she is heh....and her huge lady feet lol.

Lawls even the previous air bender avatar would have told him that

If she was a Airbender. Kioshi was the last Earth Nation Avatar, IIRC...

Thank you for the time...

He means the last Air Nomad Avatar, Avatar Yan-Chen (sp?). Aang spoke to her briefly when he was trying to come up with a way to beat Ozai.

She was pretty emphatic that killing people was A-OK in her book.

According to Word Of God sources, nobody ever tried to start any trouble at all for a generation after Yan-Chen -died-, she was so intimidating and willing to do anything to preserve peace.

If it was Yan-Chen in the pic a few posts up, I'd have no issue. But since it's Kioshi in the pic, a correction was needed.

Thank you for the time...

No, dude, Cheeta was just saying "Even the airbending avatar would tell him that", as in even Yan-Chen would've told him the same thing Kioshi did in that picture. No correction was needed. He wasn't saying Kioshi was Yan-Chen.

Thank you for the time...

LOL. Yes even in the show Yan Chen was like "Yo Ang, Dog you gots to do whachu gots to do ya heard?" (Imagine that being spoken in Exibits voice.)

THIS, I just forgot Yan Chen's name and Air Nomad isn't a term I've heard in awhile

I use Air Nomad because Aang used Air Nomad, but the term never made much sense to me. They all live in giant (immobile) monestaries. How nomadic would we really describe them?

Assuming that the type of bending is used affects personality, then it is surprising that Air Benders were in a temple. Air Nomads makes more sense for Air Benders. There is some proof and exceptions to it. Zuko is hotheaded while Aang's Earthbending friend from before he got frozen is completely nuts and doesn't fit with Earth Benders being sturdy like a rock.

The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.

Well Aang talked of some of them moving around a lot...and some Tibetan monks used to travel quite a bit no?

I believe that the way it works is that there are four temples (North, South, East, West) two for Men (North, South) two for Women (East, West) and that they follow a fairly migratory path from one to the other.

When and where they meet up to make baby airbenders I have no idea.
