I was also there last night. Spent about 4 hours in RV. Had a great time.

I spent 4 hours in a near permanent state of travel suppression.

It's good to be me.

Went through the same event as the first event, we had a little over 10 people. More actual practice this time and a little bit of a FFA event after with everyone.

Some issues with DCing at the beginning, but overall it went well.

Tomorrow we're going to talk about different roles: Damage/Support/Debuff/Disruption, more indepth mechanics, tactics, evading paths, timing holds/confuse etc.

Special thanks to Neuronia for helping. Especially for evading -everyone- in that arena event for a good amount of time, to teach people how to chase and others how they should evade.

PvP Redux is discontinued, for obvious reasons. Thanks to everyone who helped and joined.

Hey, I was with you, too.
And Red, and Vince.

Had a blast with that event, even if I was running around a lot slower than everyone else. Was there on Shujissa (my Archery/Mental Manipulation Blaster) and Arsenic Widow. Neither of which had SS or SJ. And I got to use Daleon as the group knife dummy!

Since ive been intensively pvping over last 6months or so for me its just comparing what I do to how the better players do ie evasion

And perfecting my spike timings on my psi/em it really annoys me when my damage doesnt all land within 1 second timegap

You're being slightly unrealistic if you think that the entirety of your chain is going to land within 1 second, unless of course you're standing right on top of a player in a PvP zone while they're suppressed.

What is your animation chain? What are you teaming with? Who is calling your targets?

These are things to consider if you're working on "improving" your attack chain. Your positioning, the order that you're throwing your chain, and who is selecting your targets are important things to consider.

Participated in the event last night, had an absolute blast and learned a bunch. Definitely looking forward to joining more events!

1v1 spike does not equal an 8v8 spike.

Unless you're on top of a target, you will never land your full chain in damage in a one second interval. Just putting that out there.

Last event had several 8v8 and 6v6 matches.

These matches were primarily to see the skill levels of everyone so that in the future there could be more balance. From now on, certain leaders will not be on the same team.

The winning team in every case was using some voice communication, which hopefully outlined the importance of it in any team. The difference between calling a target voice and waiting for the leader to physically lock before being able to call can be substantial.

In our next events, if the amount of people are above 16 (2 teams maximum), we will split into smaller teams and have separate events (4v4 and 5v5 for example). This way, everyone will be included.

Teams will also no longer be chosen one by one like a traditional kickball, but rather balanced and preset by our leaders.

The 8v8 match was somewhat too much too fast, and although we'll soon have enough people comfortable with it, we'll start off more slowly and work our way up.

Yeah as I was saying via PM they had something similar on Victory and basically they did it in steps:

1)Team formations and roles
2)Some practice matches, evaluate player skills at evading/locking/etc.
3)Work with players that need more help.
4)Assign mentors to teams. No more than one experienced support or one experienced Blaster per team.
5)Do matches, switch targets so that people don't feel "farmed" and so on.

In between that, you had all the Arena stuff people need to know: evasion routes, insp management, rooting/planting and stuff like TK and its counters (TK was limited to one per team in that league and banned in most leagues) and so on...

Out of that we got a couple people (Hemm was notable) that graduated to Freedom leagues.

We also had a SO only (we allowed KB Protect too) league that went through various levels on Champion, finally allowing IOs at level 50 but that was kinda mixed.

The key thing is you can't go full speed with new players. (Note that I was put into that situation on Test and got around to it quickly, not much choice when you're on a Team, but not sure that is possible now). But with practice you can get stuff off the ground and so on.

ALso, there's the issue that toons with no HP Accos are going to get farmed.
I don't know organized this thing all is, but anyone looking to PvP regularly should at least look at getting all the +HP accolades and their squishies to 1606 hp. No idea how Incarnaes are being used but most organized play was Alpha only, or at least no Lore pets so there aren't 16 extra targets + Ill pets and Grav pets to tab through, but again...whatever works.

The zone event went very well with many PvP Redux members showing up to contribute to either side. Thanks for everyone who got to show up.

To those who are interested in joining or speaking with our leaders, from now until June 23rd, I will not be avaliable. @Hot Secs will be covering for me and all questions or concerns can be PMed to him.

I will still check PMs on the forums when possible and try to respond quickly.

Wanted to let everyone know about the new Zone Night advertised at the very top of the thread, for those who might have missed it.

As I mentioned in the thread on the PvP forums, this event was not originally advertised to the public to allow our members to train up with each other. Now that we have more skilled players, it's open to the public.

As I have said at the top, this night should be for those who some experience in PvP or have at least attended several classes and have a PvP build (Not expensive, just PvP oriented).

I hate Travel Suppression and Heal Decay (Incadescence notwithstsanding) with the fire of a thousand suns.

That said, excellent turnout tonight all.
