Hero 1 Lore Question
I'm making a Hero 1 themed character, planning on having him be a mutant child who was 12ish when his father went through the portal. My question is do we know if Hero 1 had any canonical children? He was in a romantic relationship with Lady Jane, but I don't recall anything explicitly saying they had a child. Which would leave room for this character. Am I right about that though?

He could have had an ex-wife, old girlfriend, lesbian friend he surrogated for.
In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michelangelo.
He could have memories of being raised by Hero 1 implanted into his noggin', only to find out in some dramatic story arc that it's all fake. That's always a good comic book staple.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)
There are two characters with very similar names.
Hero One is the guy who led the Omega Team during the Rikti Invasion in 2001, former leader of the UK-based Dawn Patrol, wielder of the Excalibur, and currently in the game as the Honoree. He's said to have a platonic relation with Lady Jane.
Then there's Hero 1, the former's father, said to have been instrumental during the Cold War in the 80's to prevent a nuclear holocaust. Valentine Tips claim he had a fling with Lady Grey, (though she doesn't act like Hero One's mother). Presumed to be either dead or retired.
So Hero 1 had at least one child, and could have had more. Hero One is a mystery, though he's depicted as an adult, and could have fathered one himself. Both are an oddity amongst the game's NPCs due to the fact that their secret identities are purposely kept from the players. Me, I think Hero 1 (senior) was/is Patrick Duncan.
You got that backwards. Hero One is the dad; Hero 1 went through the portal.

Ech...relatives or offspring of canon characters are always horrible ideas -_-
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

The key to the mantle of Hero 1 is blood. All those who bear this legacy are descended from the same bloodline and can trace their ancestry to the ancient fae of England. The fae were charged long ago to keep Excalibur safe and who better than one of their greatest champions to be given that responsibility.
In the most recent case, Hero 1 is the son of Hero One although his path to assuming the mantle was a rocky one. The current Hero 1 didnt initially want the responsibility that comes with being a super-powered hero but events transpired that changed his mind and his destiny. The death of his father landed the title of Hero 1 and custodianship of Excalibur squarely in his lap. The transition from a rough and tumble bloke living in London to the single most influential hero of the Rikti War was long and difficult, but in the end Hero 1 proved to be one of the greatest heroes to ever live. |

you could go the Conner Kent route and have him be the clone child of Hero 1 and Hro'Dohtz

In RP? Yeah, that doesn't happen. Or, at least, the people trying it get laughed out of the area

For all the praise I've heaped on Rick Dakan's original writing, the canon character names SUCK. There are several groups of characters with nearly the same name with slight variations on the words, and it's becoming impossible to track, like Hero One, Hero 1, Hero I, Hero True or whatever and the Miss/Mrs./Ms./Missus Liberty and so forth. I'd sooner have two characters with a crappy name than what is effectively the Parallel Illusions.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Just a thought.
I think it fits, actually, that the child of an active hero would want to take her parent's alias. I know I would. Since the FBSA register doesn't allow for two heroes to share a name, Ms. L and Hero 1 did the smart thing and changed a few letters.

NCSoft will be getting no more of my money and my GW2 purchase was halted the day of the announcement. I'm a loyal and very profitable customer. I hope to return to giving them all of my money, should CoH survive.
And of course, Luminary I and Luminary II. The first Luminary was a male human. The second is, apparently, a female robot.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
