Did I just watch a trailer that included a tattooed swashbuckling Santa with an Eastern European accent?

....

I'll probably go see that.

While Michael Bay is hard at work trying to destroy my inner child. Dreamworks is doing everything they can to protect that same inner child. Thank you Dreamworks.

This looks very promising. Love the design for the Easter Bunny.

"And for us this is the end of all stories, and we can mostly say they lived happily ever after. But for them it was the beginning of the real story. All there life in this world and all there adventures in Narnia had only be the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of The Great Story which no one on earth has ever read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before" - C.S Lewis, The Last Battle.

If you watched the same trailer I just did then yes. Ok, I'm certain I'm going to have to see that.

How could you not mention Jude Law?

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

Was it the same one that had Wolverine as a wisecracking badass Easter Bunny??

I'll probably be seeing that.

Also, yes, Jude Law: nice to see that DreamWorks think villains should be properly scary. But then again, Brits always make the best villains. Muhaha. MuhahahahahhahaaaHAAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAARGH*cough*splutter*buerk*sneeze*

...when they haven't got a cold, anyway

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

Wow...I'm the odd ball I guess and will just say the movie isn't for me. Trailer didn't inspire much confidence. *shrugs*

I find some vague sense of hope in the fact the trailer didn't already make me wish shiny rapacious death upon the heads of everyone involved - you know, like they normally do (or maybe that's just me). It may not be all that great but it doesn't appear to be entirely without a chance of good moments and material. I find Dreamworks kind of hit or miss in general and so far didn't see anything too obviously "miss" here yet.
