I've had more than 6 bil inf across all my characters for a while now (got rich on Alignment Merits). But I always tend to move it around so none of my characters are too close to the cap. Well, Silver Gale got a purple drop running through Dark Astoria and selling that got her to 1900 mil and change, so I bid the change on something and sent over 100 mil from another character and got this:

Inf cap achieved! ...now what?

You are now ebil! Congrats!

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

My meter goes to 1 trillion! But I'm not quite that ebil yet.

Nor could you unequivocally demonstrate it if you were.

I think if 2 bill is 1% then how can anyone purple till converters come out.

at 500 milion a pop you cannot buy one set.

I think 1% is now like 10 bilion or 20 bill

pure opinion

*FWOOSH!!!*

1% as in part of the 1% of the population that has 2+ billion in inf.

Well, judging from the survey I conducted awhile back, I'd think it's a pretty
safe bet that it's decidedly more than 1%*.

That said, it's still a fine and noteworthy accomplishment.

Gratz,

He could... by testing to see if 2B is the prestige cap.

But I don't care enough to prove it. Note that I consider Total Worth to include current market value of all assets (including slotted IOs), and there's no way I'd unslot and sell everything.

Congratulations Silver gale. Its a real thrill when you peg that meter for the first time.

Then you are very late to the party.

It finally occurred to me, re-reading this, that I could in theory MOVE money from one character to another, allowing me to reach the inf cap precisely.

I should totally do this. I updated my spreadsheets and I have 12b liquid inf. Note that I haven't really played CoH significantly in months, but every so often I log in and do some marketing.

That's ... an interesting thing to say to TopDoc.

As to the OP and what to do next, I suppose the next thing to do is to see how many of these you can make:

I have ... a few.

Just a statement of fact.

If you are going to do impressive things with the market INF is usually preferred .

I long ago reached the point where mine is too difficult to store properly.

I wasn't kidding when I told Top Doc most of the bids for level 10 glads were mine

That is inf. I just don't like storing my inf in bids, I just leave large sells unclaimed instead.

I also get nervous having all my eggs in one basket, so I have some alts just running around with close to two billion inf, some with large sells just sitting there, and a whole bunch I converted into a ton of prestige for four separate bases, which I then filled with storage.

In trying to figure out the best way to store inf, I mostly eliminated my need for inf.

That is A basket not A one basket. I just need really big baskets.

AF, is it possible for you to get your money back out of those bids? I thought there were problems reclaiming a multiple bid when the total value exceeded two billion. I'm too skeered to test it myself tho.

Posted

Each bid is for 10 items at 100M each, so 1B total. No problem with that.

Ah, you're right, I just quickly glanced at the image and read it as 1 billion each. Nevermind
