6th SSA

Has Paragon mentioned when it's coming out? We're a couple of weeks into the month already and I thought this was a monthly deal.

Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.

Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.

NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.

I wish I could pay rent with that definition of monthly.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Software development takes time. Sometimes it takes more time than expected, and dates have to be pushed back. There's a reason we rarely get hard release dates out of Paragon -- because that way they don't have to apologize for missing a scheduled release date because of something beyond their control.

Patience, Grasshopper.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

They have ranged in release date from the 6th of a month to the 20th... so... we have time yet before they are "late."

Probably didn't want to release SSA6 on Valentine's Day. Guessing next week.

Weird thing is... where's the hype for this part?

Sigh the week I'm away for my training week. I got no luck. "I want my luck back!"

Yeah, bit disappointed, they were kicking these out pretty regularly around the 1st/2nd week reliably, sad to see it's going to just start kicking around any time in a given month ;p

Though honestly, could just be waiting for I22 to publish everything together.

Thought it was over now that they killed Statesman? Wasnt that the whole point of it: Whos going to die??

There are 7 parts total for the "Who Will Die" arc.

When Superman died, all four monthly comic titles he starred in at the time remained in production. There was the "World Without a Superman" storyline where everyone reacted to his death, then the "Reign of the Supermen" where different characters all claiming to the be real Superman took over the various titles for a while... and finally the one where Superman returned, good as new but with longer hair.

Point being, there are still stories to tell even after the big momentous death scene, and since superheroes come back from the dead all the time, States isn't necessarily going to be the one who's dead at the end of the story -- we know someone will be, but hey, still two parts to go! Plenty of time for someone to sacrifice themselves to bring him back or something. That might account for the lack of hype at this point, too; wouldn't want to ruin the surprise by telling us what's going to happen weeks before the arc is released like they did with part 5.

And If Statesman comes back with a mullet, I'm cancelling my subscription and never looking back.

No they've been pretty upfront that Statesman is dead dead, no coming back. But yes there is the matter of who -else- will die. And that Wade is still out there trying to pull off his mad plan

It's a 7 part story - we've had the major death, but the main villain's escaped, and the Freedom Phalanx is leaderless - so there are still a few things to be resolved before it's time for the second SSA.

Pretty sure Positron is filling in States' shoes, if the end of part 4 is any evidence

No clue when the next part will come out. Though I did notice a firey headed lass named Infernia hanging out in the Vanguard base telling me about SSA7 earlier tonight.

Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard
Keep Calm & Chive On!

He is the one who put together the phalanx, so you are probably right

She is the contact for the last part.
Maybe Hero1 is probably healthy and well enough to be a hero again.
Also, is clear that Positron will be new leader and will sport a new armor

Problem with resurrecting States at this moment is that he will come back as plain old Marcus Cole since Wade is running around with his powers. So step 1 is revive Marcus, step 2 is get him his powers back. However if you ran the valentine mish to revive Red Widow, your contact that gives you the greek coins does warn you that some spirits do NOT want to come back. Statesman is now in the hereafter with his wife, daughter and any other friends and family that left before he did. He may not want to come back.

Posi states that ish 23 is the "purge statesman from majority of the game" issue, which means a rename of the STF among other changes. Also there is this:

"Considering the obvious superheroic parallels, we wonder: Are there current plans to bring Statesman back at some point in the future?"

"We have no plans to bring him back in any of the issues we are currently working on or planning. We have over a year's worth of content already planned that will explore the ramifications of Statesman's death. Removing him from the game is a massive undertaking, so it's not like we can turn a switch and undo it right away. I won't say "never," but "extremely unlikely" might better cover it."

I don't want any hype for it. The official announcement of Statesman's death over a month before part 5 was released really took a lot of the punch out of that one.

I know - but they might want to have it made "official" during part 6 or 7, as part of the ongoing story of the phalanx.
