Happy dance!
I have tried clothes on beta and really like them. Just shirt and jeans make me want to create more male alts (and female options are nice, too).
Too bad that we don't get 2nd Pocket D teleporter, so we can alternate between them.
Don't know about anyone else, but I feel a little ripped off.
I was aware the VIP TP power was in it which I already had, but thought, oh well I'll buy the individual pieces that I want, I then noticed in the bundle that there were 2 Dance emotes (at the time I thought new ones), now I couldn't locate these new individual emotes, so I thought the only way to get these emotes was to buy the bundle. So I have the bundle now and to my surprise the emotes were the ones I had purchased in the party pack WTF!. Why must the full list and pictures of what's in the pack be shown after you have purchased them. How was I to know the emotes that I wanted, thinking they were new, were emotes I had already (next time could marketing label them as new or old emotes). Not Happy ![]() Will think twice before buying another bundle with poor descriptions on it. |
The Pocket D pack has been on the beta test server for at least a week. Plenty of time to check out what it contained before it went live.

After having a day to tinker with the new clothes, I must say I'm very pleased with my new clothes. Of particular delight, I find the metallic dress fills in all kinds of previously really frustrating wardrobe issues.
* the metallic skirt matches the shiny vest/lapels of the (wedding pack) female tux.
* skirt closely matches (not exactly) the slick, glossy tops-with-skins options we've had for awhile now (excess plus, hearts plus and another one I can't recall off the top of my head now). If a belt is worn with the skirt, these near-identical finishes look identical, though may have to tinker with colors a bit. (YAY! I don't have to wear those itty-bitty-omgisthatmybuttcrackshowing??! bottoms any longer!)
* the top matches metallic parts of many of the bottoms with metallic parts. My only quibble with the top is that it can't be worn with anything over it (jacket, trench, bolero). It's such a PERFECT laying piece, it seems (in a "I like the CC waaaay to much way) a tragic waste.
* you could even wear it as a dress!
So, whatever other mutant toes issues exist, all-in-all am delighted to find so many really useful wardrobe "fixes" with this dress. Wonderful job, art department!
Organica, I made that same outfit yesterday, with different colors. Only difference is - yours looks GOOD! Well done, you! Hat's off!
Then you have only yourself to blame, as you could have gone and looked to see what you were buying before spending money on it at any time, and chose not to. Besides, even after it went live you could have looked at the parts in the tailor before deciding to purchase anyway.

I avoid the Beta server as I like surprises when it goes live.
|
How do I have myself to blame? |
Why do all the products featured within the bundle get shown to you after you have purchased the bundle, and not before? |
Seems to me that I can quite clearly blame other factors apart from myself. |
When they quite clearly state that you need to view Beta in order to see what you are getting within the bundle, then I can start blaming myself. |
Also I did check the parts in the tailor before I spent money, but how do I check an emote, which is what I have a problem with? |
Beta/test server should not be relied upon as a substitute for what should be expected features of the in-game store front. Just for the reason that only VIPs have access to beta and that is doing part of your customer base a disservice (premiums)
It's nice to have that workaround when lacking an alternative but it shouldn't be the go to reason for not having a properly implemented store interface.
If for no other reason that if people just let it go and say go to beta, then that gives the devs even less incentive to improve the store ui.
The store should have a preview of all items prior to purchase especially things that animate like emotes and powersets and temp powers and it should be accessible from the store window and not have to go to a tailor in-game or something.
Yes I've heard that saying, but I also heard All MMO's state not to buy or make any changes based on beta, as you never know what will change before it is put to live.

Why are we so vehemently defending a really pathetic store interface by demanding everyone subscribe and go test things on beta?
How about this: I don't want to play on beta. It's a nice perk. It should not be a requirement. The store interface ought to be able to give us some idea of what we're buying. Why is that such a threatening idea?
Heck, why are people complaining what's clearly labeled on the front page of the website still

1. That restriction is an incentive to subscribe.
2. Allowing non subscribers access to the Beta server would be a colossally stupid move on the companies part because it would give the dead beats unrestricted access to everything in the both the market and the game without ever having to pay for it. Why would anyone spend money on the game or play on the live servers if they could simply get everything for free on Beta. Just copy your characters over and trick them out for free. If the devs erase the servers just copy the characters over again and trick them out for free again. |

And that is exactly why you should check things out on the test server. That way if you don't like something you can voice it there and maybe get it changed before it goes live. Or vice versa, voice your support for the way something looks and prevent it from getting changed.
In either case you have had a chance to see what's coming before you have to make a decision on whether or not to buy it. |
