Happy dance!

I have tried clothes on beta and really like them. Just shirt and jeans make me want to create more male alts (and female options are nice, too).

Too bad that we don't get 2nd Pocket D teleporter, so we can alternate between them.

I was aware the VIP TP power was in it which I already had, but thought, oh well I'll buy the individual pieces that I want, I then noticed in the bundle that there were 2 Dance emotes (at the time I thought new ones), now I couldn't locate these new individual emotes, so I thought the only way to get these emotes was to buy the bundle. So I have the bundle now and to my surprise the emotes were the ones I had purchased in the party pack WTF!.

Why must the full list and pictures of what's in the pack be shown after you have purchased them.

How was I to know the emotes that I wanted, thinking they were new, were emotes I had already (next time could marketing label them as new or old emotes).

Not Happy

Will think twice before buying another bundle with poor descriptions on it.
The Pocket D pack has been on the beta test server for at least a week. Plenty of time to check out what it contained before it went live.

I will buy the 3 pieces that interest me: shirt, jacket, pants. I rarely buy bundles as it is just cheaper for me to buy the pieces I want/will use. Plus I am saving my points for staff fighting

I avoid the Beta server as I like surprises when it goes live.

Besides if I go to a shop to purchase something, surely that is supposed to be the best place to get information on the product I am about to buy.

Then you have only yourself to blame, as you could have gone and looked to see what you were buying before spending money on it at any time, and chose not to. Besides, even after it went live you could have looked at the parts in the tailor before deciding to purchase anyway.

After having a day to tinker with the new clothes, I must say I'm very pleased with my new clothes. Of particular delight, I find the metallic dress fills in all kinds of previously really frustrating wardrobe issues.

* the metallic skirt matches the shiny vest/lapels of the (wedding pack) female tux.

* skirt closely matches (not exactly) the slick, glossy tops-with-skins options we've had for awhile now (excess plus, hearts plus and another one I can't recall off the top of my head now). If a belt is worn with the skirt, these near-identical finishes look identical, though may have to tinker with colors a bit. (YAY! I don't have to wear those itty-bitty-omgisthatmybuttcrackshowing??! bottoms any longer!)

* the top matches metallic parts of many of the bottoms with metallic parts. My only quibble with the top is that it can't be worn with anything over it (jacket, trench, bolero). It's such a PERFECT laying piece, it seems (in a "I like the CC waaaay to much way) a tragic waste.

* you could even wear it as a dress!

So, whatever other mutant toes issues exist, all-in-all am delighted to find so many really useful wardrobe "fixes" with this dress. Wonderful job, art department!

Organica, I made that same outfit yesterday, with different colors. Only difference is - yours looks GOOD! Well done, you! Hat's off!

How do I have myself to blame?

Why do all the products featured within the bundle get shown to you after you have purchased the bundle, and not before?

Seems to me that I can quite clearly blame other factors apart from myself.

When they quite clearly state that you need to view Beta in order to see what you are getting within the bundle, then I can start blaming myself.

Also I did check the parts in the tailor before I spent money, but how do I check an emote, which is what I have a problem with?

To aovid spoilers, you could remove all chat channels from your chat window - or even close the whole window, just in case red admin text came up.
Put yourself on global hide, then pick a quiet zone to avoid meeting others - like for the next beta, avoid Independence Port, becuase that'll probbaly have a bit of activity with people checking out the revamped STF - somewhere like the Hollows would be good.
Doing all this would mean you'd be able to log in by the trainer, check out new costume parts and emotes, and never have to see any of the new non-cosmetic content, or hear about it from other players on the beta server.

Because you didn't do your due diligence and then complained about the results.

Yes, the store should do a better job of showing you what you're buying, but since there is a method of previewing a purchase available the store's design flaws don't absolve you of your failure.

Because you flat out admitted that you refuse to take the time to look at the costume pieces while they were available for viewing before you purchased them.

When you buy something sight unseen you have no one to blame but yourself.

But they weren't. You just refused to go to where they were available to be looked at before they were put on the market.

You can blame anyone you like, but it won't change the fact that it's still your own fault.

Well congratulations! All MMO's have been clearly stating for years that people have to go on their Beta/test servers if they want to see new content before it goes live.

Costumes, Emotes, Enhancements, Recipes, Missions, etc are all content that gets tested on Beta before going live.

.
Yes I've heard that saying, but I also heard All MMO's state not to buy or make any changes based on beta, as you never know what will change before it is put to live.

I think you might need to face the fact that there are too many holes in your argument for you to cover.

Beta/test server should not be relied upon as a substitute for what should be expected features of the in-game store front. Just for the reason that only VIPs have access to beta and that is doing part of your customer base a disservice (premiums)

It's nice to have that workaround when lacking an alternative but it shouldn't be the go to reason for not having a properly implemented store interface.

If for no other reason that if people just let it go and say go to beta, then that gives the devs even less incentive to improve the store ui.

The store should have a preview of all items prior to purchase especially things that animate like emotes and powersets and temp powers and it should be accessible from the store window and not have to go to a tailor in-game or something.

And that is exactly why you should check things out on the test server. That way if you don't like something you can voice it there and maybe get it changed before it goes live. Or vice versa, voice your support for the way something looks and prevent it from getting changed.

In either case you have had a chance to see what's coming before you have to make a decision on whether or not to buy it.

1. That restriction is an incentive to subscribe.

2. Allowing non subscribers access to the Beta server would be a colossally stupid move on the companies part because it would give the dead beats unrestricted access to everything in the both the market and the game without ever having to pay for it.

Why would anyone spend money on the game or play on the live servers if they could simply get everything for free on Beta. Just copy your characters over and trick them out for free. If the devs erase the servers just copy the characters over again and trick them out for free again.

Why are we so vehemently defending a really pathetic store interface by demanding everyone subscribe and go test things on beta?

How about this: I don't want to play on beta. It's a nice perk. It should not be a requirement. The store interface ought to be able to give us some idea of what we're buying. Why is that such a threatening idea?

Those are red herrings. They're completely irrelevant to the reason premium access to the beta server was brought up.

Premium players can't access the beta server.
Premium players can buy the Pocket D pack.

If the beta server is the only way to preview the e-motes, then premium players cannot preview and so their only option is to buy blind or do without. That's not particularly fair or reasonable.

Yes.

Topic A was the fact that, if the only way to test things was on the beta server, then premium players couldn't test.
Topic B was the fact that there are good reasons for only allowing VIPs on the beta server.
This had the guise of being relevant, as it was discussing premium access to the beta server, but was in fact not relevant as, no matter the reason, premium players still can't test things by accessing the beta server.

Seriously. 'Being able to see what I'm buying before I buy it' is a pretty basic piece of functionality for an on-line store. The store interface is an piece of crap that should never have gone live, never mind still be in the state it's in months later.

I don't want to use Beta, I want to use the shop. They need to improve it.

I don't know how clearer to put this.
