He did!

Thank you for that. Right on the nose of what I was thinking of. Everything is blurring together any more. I can't wait to see what another 70 years of movies and video games do to my ability to remember who was in what.

I loved this movie. Almost wall to wall action with some really nice quiet moments by Beckinsdale. Selene is an engine of determined destruction and rarely stops.

She bodychecks a moving panel van. I almost jumped out my seat it was so sudden and glorious.

I like underworld, haven't seen this movie... never watch these movies with me. Never watch any movies that attempt vampire and werewolf lore around me... I hate those like Twilight, those are better to watch with me because you can understand the rifts on them. With these movies i'll rift about it just as much and even i think its too nitpicky, but my brain doesn't care and neither does my mouth and it will just keep going and pointing out how this or that doesn't work with vampire and werewolf lore...

I loved that scene! And it suprised me so much!

Watching the movie I kept thinking back to the *spoiler here so quit reading if that bothers you...quick...scroll down to next post...I MEAN IT* original movie where she shot a hole in the floor and dropped, and kept wishing she'd do a scene like that again...and then the elevator scene happened and I was all

Pretty sure. I would be willing to bet that 90% of the threads Ive read have had atleast one post from you replying about something somebody else in a way that clearly invokes your dislike of said thing lol.

Sometimes I wonder why you even read the topic to begin with lol.

(please dont read this as being argumentative lol im just curious to why you read about things you dont like and then reply about them negatively to people who DO like said things )

Mr. Hamilton : What I'm suggesting that this place is the crummiest, shoddiest, worst-run hotel in the whole of Western Europe.
Major Gowen [angrily] : No! No, I won't have that. There's a place in Eastbourne.

Watched the movie this past weekend and enjoyed it. While I agree, have Micheal missing for the entirety of the movie was a bit disappointing, the action didn't seem to suffer for it. Also... Kate Beckinsale.

Well, in his defense, he did really like Smallville, even long after it stopped being good. Despite the lack of plausibility or continuity in its writing. And its atrocious dialogue.

And why do people so often read that someone doesn't like something and respond in its defense? I think people in general just have a tendency to be reactionary.

I like good things. Don't like bad things. As of recent I have said I like...

Underworld
Brodus Clay
Batman
Voodoo
the Twistecutioner skit on AOTS

quite frankly the reason people think I don't like a lot of things is because I am critical of things and people take being critical as not liking, even though that is completely wrong and incongruent with reality. Those who like things the most want that thing to be the best it can be and can see the most flaws.

See where as most people give a suggestion as in "here's my answer to a problem i see" I state the problem and give my suggestion or why it's a problem and that way people can see where the problem is and have a better discussion about how to fix it. It sounds positive, but in practice it comes off as negative and more often than not is met with "if you don't like it don't x it" or similar.

Not to mention, the whole fact that my typing/speaking habits send out a lot subconscious triggers that make people believe i'm be devious, or lying, or other projected negativity that isn't really there.

And honestly more often than not it's not a matter of like or dislike but rather a matter of disappointment and how much wasted potential i see and it's only when I stop and think about it mostly...when I'm reading, watching, etc I probably enjoy things a lot more than most people and enjoy more things... I mean I regularly watch those what people call "****** made for tv disney movies" and love them so meh ^.^

I enjoyed it, but I've also liked all the Underworld movies, as I think they're WoD done as good as you're going to get because all the crap's stripped away. It was a little... eh, well, it was -very- light on plot, and could have used another 20-30 minutes to flesh out the not-Viktor vampire father, his son, and the detective. But for a movie about a gorgeous woman in a vinyl catsuit fighting monsters, it works fine.

Scott Speedman was no loss either, really. And when you have a 12 year old monster girl who can tear apart werewolves with her bare hands, who needs Nightcrawler anyway?

And yeah, I get that the movie is style over substance, but I do think they went a liiittle overboard with Selene's everfull ammo pistols. So they showed her switching clips what, once? Twice? There was NO room on her outfit to store any clips anyway. On the other hand, I do like how she couldn't beat the the guy from Lost Girl (typecast as a shapeshifter?) head on and had to resort to trickery to beat the superwolf.

Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.

good luck D.B.B.

That's just classic action movie! Where you only get seen reloading when it's important to the script!

Like Spider-Man needing to run out of web fluid!

If they go overboard with anything with this franchise it's Selene jumping off a tall building.

Oh she had a place to carry the ammo. The same place the naked chick in Machete was carrying her cellphone.

I saw it in 3D, and I wondered honestly why they bothered, Every single practical SFX shot with things blowing up you could clearly see the debris bouncing off the plastic protective shield for the camera. So instead of being drawn into any scene, I just became more and more aware it was a gimmick.

And one that wasn't used at all well. But then I only have considered Avatar, TinTin, Puss in Boots and Hugo to have been any films that thought about how to use the 3D effect rather than just slap it on for the novelty factor.

Beyond that, the crucial test for me (do I notice my butt going to sleep and I start getting uncomfortable) triggered. It's entertaining popcorn fare, but that's about it. I could drive a truck through the plot holes, but there's no point as it's not what these films are about. They're about Kate Beckinsale looking sexy in PVC leather killing things.

It succeeds.

$2.50 upcharge (or more) on every ticket. That's why. (IMO)

Yep.

Kate Beckinsale goes nude for a bit, puts on leather and kills things. Okay, not the most complex plot....

I loved the movie.

I mean, what do people expect from movies like this, Sucker Punch or superhero movies?
I just wanted to see a hot Kate Beckinsale kicking *****.
There is more badassery and action in this movie than any other of the saga.
She kills stuff, she shots, jumps and bite. Enough for me.
And the plot was simple but it was cool enough.

The only negative point was the 1 minute cameo of a fake Michael and the girl was a bit Samara from The ring
