A) the RNG has not been in my favor for purple drops.
b) i don't farm hero/merits on a regular basis.
c) i have been saving my gaint bundle of "funds" for another JST public event...be it prize inf or specific recipes...
d) i guess i am not elite as i thought i was
e) i didn't know it was "required" too. i thought the epicness that is the WS was reached, to know that there is still room for more profit was beyond my grasp.

Having a purpled out warshade isn't a requirement, I was making a joke about being a casual player. A while back, before the current forums, somebody posted a rant about the difficulties a casual player could have with purpling out a warshade. Back Alley Brawler responded directly to them asking "Did you really just use 'casual gamers' and 'purple out a warshade' in the same post? "

At the time, epic archetypes were unlocked at 50 instead of 20, there wasn't the variety of methods that we have now to get purples, there was no WSTs to run and, if I remember correctly, xp smoothing hadn't happened yet. In order to have a warshade that could be purpled at that time, it really couldn't happen with casual play.

I'm tempted to go with Fire, because quite a few people already said they'll go with Beam.
Besides, you can't go wrong with Fire, because it's...it's FIRE!
Right?
The more beams, the more disintegration, but...it is hard to resist the temptation to kill everything with FIRE!

I was afraid of getting The Final Countdown stuck in anybody's head. Such a terrible earworm.

I might be convinced to hop servers for this.. but just out of curiousity.. why no MMs?

Our last few groups had pretty broad themes (dark, earth, rad, bladed), the dark, bladed and the earth teams were broad enough that we had tanks, brutes and scrappers in the group. When we were discussing the theme for this group, a few people expressed a preference for a single powerset team without characters that were as viable solo as masterminds.

I love this plan! I'm excited to be a part of it!

That was fun. Thanks everyone! I can't make it on Sunday, but I'll be there next Friday.

Tonight went well. Leveling was a breeze and there was much scourging and disintegrating.

If there's any hero timers out there that are available to join on Sunday, we could knock out some event missions. The missions can't be completed without teammates from both alignments.

Yeah, it was super fun even though I was super late and only got the last 2 missions.

But if you are playing a time manipulator, surely you could... oh, I see, danger to the timeline ahead. (Or is that in the past?)

Anyway, I think you'll be welcome to join the group at the next meeting.

Absolutely, come join us Sunday! It's easy to catch up at low levels. There's always a spread of levels in our group, and we always make sure that everybody who shows up gets on a team. Really, we bend over backwards to do so.

With xp smoothing, the low levels fly by on these groups. Our policy has always been that anybody can join at any time as long as they fit the theme. If I remember correctly, Fade Aside joined as a level 1 blaster when many of the core group was 35+ and is now one of our level 50 alumni.

My guess is that when people start hitting 20+ and go rogue, there will be excursions made to Paragon City to run task forces. So after the first few weeks, people won't need to start as a villain to join in.

The Dark Astoria revamp will also be good for this group. People that hit 50 will be able to get their incarnate goodies and those that haven't hit 50 will be getting xps.

Great fun on Friday. I can tell this is going to be powerful when we're rolling over enemies and haven't even gotten to the final 3 heavy hitters in Time Manip yet.

Great to see the old Justice Superteamers coming back for more (we missed you PC and Purg), and meet some new folks too! I'll add to the chorus of invites to join us if you missed the first (few) session(s). Even if you're just reading this post a month after we start, I really encourage you to come on out on Friday or Sunday at 8pm EST/New York City time (GMT- 5 for the next month/GMT-4 starting 11 March for our non-US friends) and join the "Justice Superteamers" channel.

We have fairly consistently run our projects 5-6 months each. Missing a few sessions does not matter at all. Heck, I'd guess that if you showed up for an average of half the sessions, you would still hit 50. I've leveled 2 alts form 1->50 on our Earth project. Regardless, I guarantee we'll make sure you're included and you'll have a lot of fun or your money back. I will miss both sessions next week and another weekend in March and am not sweating it.

Roll up a Time Manipulation Defender, Controller, or Corruptor, grab a few levels and an AP bank jet pack if you can and head on over to Cap tonight. Most folks are in the mid teens so I figure we'll possibly see Sky/Steel bank missions, Marshall Brass (yet another temp jetpack), Seer Marino, some Rogue tips, and maybe even Spring Fling or a Virgil Tarikoss SF.

What happens if you have a team of 8, then a 9th person logs in?

Musical chairs. Most of the time, it's juggle-able. If we're just doing missions, we'll split into four and five. Same thing for TFs, as long as we're only one or two missions into it. We'll restart with smaller teams, as long as we can meet the minimum number to start. Sometimes we will switch to something else entirely if we can't.

Most of the time we don't get really rolling for a half hour or so. If you're here at 8-ish, you're going to get on a team. I'd say it's less than one evening in two months that someone logs in late-ish and we're locked into long TFs already. Maybe even less frequently. (Anyone from the West Coast with a later schedule want to comment on that? Do you find that late logins get you locked out that often?)

We really, really try to get everyone on a team. There have been times we've juggled people and teams for ten minutes until we got everyone not only on a team, but doing the missions/TFs they wanted!
