Time Manipulation Superteam
I will make my first character in Justice just to join this.
Time/Ice Defender it shall be. But seeing as someone else is going with Beam, the idea of having more than one Beam is appealing too with the extra disintegration.

I'm going beam and iirc, so is King. We shall disintegrate indiscriminately!

Does Beam treat allies disintegration the same as your own? The idea of many using it wouldn't be awesome if it didn't.
i believe it does. I have a beam toon on champion who is part of a small group. There is also another beam toon in the group. And if i have been paying attention correctly, there have been times when the other toon has spread my disintegration and vice-versa...thus the entire (well most of) the mob has had the effect. Again, i can't be certain.
I'm totally going to be a Beam/Time Corrupter then.
If we cross the beams, who knows what will happen. It could form a vortex that distorts the very fabric of time itself!

You know I won't miss another chance to run with the Justice Superteamers. I'm going Beam/Time and will be locked and loaded for the 10th. Disintegration works like a status effect on the enemies. Each enemy is either disintegrated or not disintegrated. It doesn't matter who it comes from, but it also doesn't stack in effect.

Welcome Starfall!
I made my first Justice toon to join these guys as well. That was a few themes ago, and now I'm part of the crazy.
I'm going with a time/cold def, and so far it's fun
Will see you all on the 10th, though I may be a bit late as I have to work and live on the west coast.
Perpectual Cold is up to lvl 7 and will join you all as soon as I get home.

I don't think it's a problem seeing as it's just a game and life comes first. I probably will only be able to give Friday too, because that's Saturday for me, meaning unless I get home early on Monday, I miss the Sunday.
Yay for 4 disintegration users!

Quoted for truth. Show up when you can. We do our best to get everybody on team and included. If I remember correctly, the most we've restarted a tf so new folks could join was twice.

As I recall, on the 2nd restart, the group was already to the 3rd mission. It just means more xp (pre-50) and more debt for King.

This team starts Friday (Feb. 10)!
For anyone who hasn't started redside recently...Kalinda is no longer in Fort Darwin. She's down in Mercy, where everyone starts now. If you face Operative Kuzmin (your first contact, who is also marked on your map), Kalinda is now just to your right, in the same little plaza as the merit vendor.
See you there!

I plan on doing some pub this week, starting tonight with some in-game broadcasts. I may also see if I can convince a Mod on one of the big Justice channels to include a quick message about our party in their MotD. Now that Player Events is no more, I wasn't sure what non-server specific forum might be good for a shout out as well to notify folks who may not read Justice because they don't play on it normally.

The JU and JFA mods are really helpful when it comes to promoting player events. Shouldn't have to twist their arms too hard.
I've been thinking about another public event just after this group starts to get the word out. Part of the problem that I've had with coming up with an idea for an event is that there will sure to be f2p lowbies. I want to include them, but I don't want to hand a bunch of inf to someone who might not stick around. Then I saw a post on Massively about an EQ2 player that was having a Pay It Forward event. It seems to me that this could be a good event for us. New people could show up and us old people could help them out with some tips and tricks that we've learned over the years. This would be an opportunity to give badge tours, explain how accolades work, run some task forces and hit the zones that have a story arc, like Striga, Croatoa and Faultline.
I know when I was new, I had some misconceptions about the game. Someone convinced me that if you failed the Ernesto Hess task force, the big robot climbed out of the volcano and stomped around Striga. Words cannot describe my disappointment when I learned that this wasn't true.
One of the more useful things that I learned was I could see who had healed me in my combat tab. After a tough fight, I would be sure to thank anyone that showed up in my combat tab. Then I went to a GM fight and saw a name, but couldn't find the player. This guy was at every gm fight I was at but I never could find them. I spent so much time looking for Transfusion...

I did some advertising while doing my weekly day job swap last night. Hollered out in broadcast and on some Justice channels. I got us on the JfA MotD. I couldn't get any Mod response for JU so continue to give them a tell if anyone else gets on. I fielded a couple follow up questions.
To anyone checking out the thread who has not teamed up with us before, the core group of the Justice Superteamers are a fun group of mature gamers who are very casual friendly. As you can read above, we go out of our way to make sure everyone is able to participate and having fun. Team and channel chat always makes me laugh. New players are welcome. Come out on Friday and have some fun!

I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.
Do I pick Beam/Time or do I pick Fire/Time?
I'm tempted to go with Fire, because quite a few people already said they'll go with Beam.
Besides, you can't go wrong with Fire, because it's...it's FIRE!
Right?
