Time Manipulation Superteam

I don't mind keeping our focus narrow, but I'm getting cold feet re: single archetype. While discussing it in channel, I've heard a few people say, "sure, as long as it's not archetype X", where X was different for each person.

Maybe a "matched set" of archetypes, like controller/dominator, or corruptor/defender?

Actually, I still like my idea of picking a matched blast and assault set. Widens up the archetypes, but everyone would be doing the same kind of damage.

We did some DA arcs on Sunday (power-leveling my lowbie ice/time). And blew through an ITF (at around +0 for speed) with a half-team of pick-up folks.

Which means it must be time for an MoM or DD trial, right? Right?

I'm in for a MoM or DD trial. Pretty sure Baub could be convinced to join as well.

i have no problems trying for the really hard way.

I think that we have a really good shot at it if we stack the league with some of our superteam alumni and limit pick up folks to +3 or force multipliers. I'm not a fan of making limitations like this but, Tyrant is a 54+5 AV. He is going to be a right pain to take down while he's still connected to the Well of the Furies.

my only restriction is i have to be up super early sat morning. so i will be departing as close to 10:00 p.m. est as possible. Otherwise i can bring whomever we may need. MP earth has t4 barrier and i think rebirth...MP Guns should be similiar. Ideally everyone at least has t4 lore/destiny.

That's a tall order. I have one T4 on one incarnate, somewhere...

We are going to try it straight first, right?

That's a good point. I've got a couple T4'd incarnates, but I do realize that not everybody is as OCD (that really should be CDO so it's alphabetical, the way it SHOULD be) as I am. I'd like to jump in there and see what we can do.

FYI-If you need quick Cimerora access, take the TUNNEL to Night Ward and get the explore badge in the Midnighter Mansion.

You know I'll try anything, but I think we need to do it the "easy" way a few times first to have any shot at success. Assume that everyone has never even seen the trial before.

TheMagicMan is tier 4 on all pre-I23 incarnate slots, but that is my only toon with more than alpha at tier 4 I think. IMO, having a Rare everything is just fine. There is only a small, incremental difference between tier 3 and 4 and it's rarely worth the time investment for altoholics like us.

I vote we stick with the MoM and DD for now. If we own those, Mag may be in the cards. If we own it on easy mode, maybe plan a badge run before we move on to the next project.

I still need Essences on several toons so STFs/LRSFs are great for me too. Bonus Notice for more shards this week too.

Sorry starry, what i ment...most of my toons on justice has a T4 destiny/lore. I did not mean everyone should bring a toon who has T4 destiny/lore. As long as people have the level shifts, completion of a normal run should be possible. The question will be do we have enough damage to handle tyrant.

I agree with Big King. Just completing Magi is a 50/50 proposition right now and it's not force multipliers that win the day so much as people knowing what to do (ie, when Tyrant does his laser patches of doom.... MOVE!). At least that's been my experience so far.

I just ran it for the first time on Thursday, and failed. Mainly due to many many deaths and not getting to the wells quick enough to shut them down. We ran out of time.

Also, it appears that debuffers are almost necessary, given the time constraint. PC /rad (Proton Chill) is only +1 and doesnt' have anything but Alpha open. We may want to Pug some debuffers along for the ride.

Guardian is my home server, but will play for fun anywhere

I think that if we got some PUG debuffers and brought our own we could do it. Baub has Shadow Decay (dark/rad defender), King has TheMagicMan (ill/rad troller), Hedge has Toondra (earth/cold troller), MP has Mountain Persona (earth/kin troller) and I could bring Cat Spark (fire/kin troller) or Lady Midday (demon/dark mastermind). We could also swap in alts as needed because some alts might be more ideal for this trial.

When I ran it on beta, I think it was before they changed it to be more challenging because it seemed fairly straightforward and not that difficult with a well built league.

On Sunday we made Penelope Yin very confused. First we helped her fight Clamor & the Freaks in IP (PYTF). Then we beat up her and that crowd she's running with now, in the shadow of Atlas (LRSF).

Maybe another trial on Friday? Has anyone run MoM enough to lead it? I've only seen up to part 2.

Well, at least she didn't sic the Clockwork King on us.

I'd love to get another trial in on Friday. MoM sounds good...but I've only ran it a few times. I think that we could pull it off if strategy is discussed beforehand. The trial is well designed to allow for planning between stages. I do think that we might need to do a mixed team because taunt is very useful during the second phase. When MoM goes well, it goes really well...and when it doesn't, it goes really poorly.

I took my TW scrapper out to Night Ward and found to my surprise time manipulating critters. Not going to get into what they were because I don't want to ruin the story for anybody else that wants to run the arcs, but they were quite the challenge. I almost started to feel bad for what we do...and then I remembered all NPCs are dirty cheaters. I'm looking at you Anti-Matter with your two auras and you too Dream Doctor, you staff fighting illusionist.

Baub and I got in on a Magisterium run tonight. They must have seriously changed it since I ran this on beta because I don't remember it being this big of a pain. It's pretty straightforward to the last fight and then, it gets gimmicky. Don't stand in the lightning, kill the lights, move the Olympian guards. It looks like if we're going to try for The Really Hard Way, we're going to need experience at the trial, debuffs, a league that can work together and more debuffs. I think that it would be a good idea to bring as many illusion/mind trollers as possible because he will be stupidly high to us, but he's an invuln and there's a huge hole in his resists there.

I imagine that we would need a leader that could give clear instructions as well as knowing when specific strategies were needed. In consideration of that, I'm calling not it in advance. But I am willing to contribute to planning sessions as needed. Especially after we have more information.

Current score is Cat Spark 0 Tyrant 2. Stupid dog lover.

So far my record of magi trial is 3/5 on yang...the hard part being the fight with tyrant...most people do all right with the first half of tyrant fight. but when the favor of well kicks in with the bonus regain + people dead/stuck in hosp limbo/lack of dps when scattered from crazy lighting patches of doomith = stalling tyrants health between 20-30% until somehow we land a crazy spike that brings him between 10-20%. On one run, we had six (one being myself) just staying near a light well thing. It worked in giving us the level shifts but i was rewarded with only the ten threads option. Maybe it would be best to have two people from each team on lights only (either a rezer of somesort or a person who has spare temp rezzs to spare who can bounce around rezzing between lights being up). I would suggest people bringing rebirth destiny for the heals, barrier with rez would be useful....

How about a few redside respecs on Friday? They're quick and can get superteamers (or alts) a favor of the well or some quick xps.

i would be down for that

How about jumping into a Magi on Friday? King did an excellent job leading it the other night.

I still think that we're more than capable of pulling off a Really Hard Way attempt.

Sorry to bail, but it's hard to say no RL calls and says come to a party.

I did want to link to the Oatmeal's site because it's not very often that you hear about people going to great lengths to be nice on the internet.

Here's the link- somewhat NSFW http://www.indiegogo.com/bearlovegood?c=home

Definitely the right call. We dialed Penny's tf down to 3/8 (from 4/8 with you & Baub). Things went smoothly but the last fight (Clamor in reactor w/ ton o' ambushes) caused a wipe (or 2 [3?]) but success was met. I brought a 48 to the PYTF, hoping to get to 49, given how short it is, but fighting +3s and +4s, along with an xp booster, not to mention WST bonus, got him to 50 easily enough.

Then we jumped on a badge Magi. The trial succeeded but not all the badges, so we went for a second run, still missed the badges, though SOOOOO close on the "beat the 3 AVs within 5 seconds" badge.

Congratz on the new 50!

Magi is a fun trial. I'm still getting used to the mechanics, but I really like the end where you just stomp the big bad.

We had a lot of fun last night. Felt kind of bad about bailing on you guys, but not too bad.
