Well I suppose it does help to know where to leave him. Glad it worked out for you regardless.
IIRC, that mission is like the 2nd mission in that arc so even if you had to try for it again it'd be pretty easy to get to via Ouro.

Funny, I left Leon in the second area as soon as I noticed there was a clock and finished the baddies all on my own. Almost didn't make it because one of the goons ran off, but overall, it wasn't too hard to defeat them in the time limit on my own (Mind/Time controller, btw)

The parts in red really threw me off. The way I read it was that they'd be in the very last mission that DD gave, the one that completes his arc. I got nervous when I got a Reward Table after the 3rd mission from him, until I saw he had more for me.

After I ran into Bellerose in his next-to-last mission, beat her up, and got the badge, I realized my mistake, and went looking for Hopp. Both badges awarded! ^_^

Unfortunatly, that did nothing to remedy the fact that I missed the badge for refusing help in Sister Solaris' arc. >_<

Fortunatly, I can do it right during one of my Weekly Flashback Runs for my 2 Emps (that I am not entitled to have handed to me for having already done the DA stuff before today's patch). ^_^

So since I forgot to check and didn't see anyone talking about it I assume yesterday's patch didn't give us a "sneak fix" to this problem. Anyone heard any rumors as to when the Devs might get around to thinking up a unique name for this badge? Hopefully it'll find its way into the next patch.

No sneak-fix came in the patch. Perhaps they could call it "Gate-Crasher" or "Gate Wrecker" or "Open Sesame" or "Open SAYS ME!"

Important tip that I'm surprised nobody's brought up yet:

The DA story arc badges will not be awarded to teammates, only to the mission holder. This is working as intended. These are meant to be Story Arc badges, which are awarded ONLY to the arc-holder. They are not meant to be awarded to teammates. There was a bug where the badge might be awarded to teammates but not to the mission-holder. I understand their rationale, as all of these missions require the mission owner to make a *choice*. I have confirmed this with a fairly high level GM.

I have pointed out in very strong terms that, unlike the Praetorian missions, these missions team-complete. The Praetorian missions that require choices do NOT team-complete, which means that if you're running them with a group, you have to rerun those specific missions for each mission holder. The DA missions automatically team-complete if you have that mission, REGARDLESS of whether you're the mission-holder. However, even if you have the mission in your queue, you don't get the badge because it is a mission that requires a player choice.

I have also pointed out very strongly that they NEED to change the team-complete settings for these missions. I have also noted that the player base was NOT informed of this, and that it's extremely annoying. As it stands, I'm going to have to rerun the entire DA content on my Defender badge-hunter, because she didn't get a couple of the badges due to IC choices, and then ran the missions again with a friend on their missions. I petitioned, believing it was an error. They will NOT award the badge if you were not the mission-owner.

I will note that I have not absolutely confirmed that you do not get the badge if you had the mission in your queue but were not the person whose mission was active because of the aforementioned bug.

As I said, this has been confirmed as working as intended that only the mission owner gets the badge. This is also now the case for the Midnighter Club badge arc. Yes, I consider this a huge problem that needs to be fixed ASAP, or at least listed as a known issue with the player base being fully informed. They MAY have fixed the team-complete aspect with this patch, but I haven't verified that yet.

IIRC all you had to do blueside was be in steel canyon on same team as person doing the latin student mish, or 0 work essentially, redside you still have to run an actual mish to get the badge

i dont remember if i saw a redname reasoning for why it was changed

It's been a while since I've run those missions on either side so I didn't really remember one side being any more exploitable than the other. Still it looks like you pretty much summarized the likely "redname reasoning" for the change only on one side right here. *shrugs*

In looking at the Vidiot map for the New DA explore badge 7 is behind the war walls by the old door. How do you get there?

Okay delete this. The badge is on the hospital roof. The vidiot map has a green arrow that was confusing me because it looks like a tunnel.

Just as an FYI I read this post over on the Titan forum that says they are going to be renaming this badge to 'Spinebreaker' in Issue 23. No reason to doubt this as far as I can tell. At least this'll give us a vague idea how long we'll have to wait for the fix.

Re: Deadly/Dignified Combatant: You can SORTA get them the same run. Get one badge by fulfilling the requirement (thereby finishing the mission), then when you exit, abandon the next mission that's autoselected. You can then go back to the previous mission with the trash can and do that set over again without having to start from scratch. Did this last night with positive results.
