I don't know, was teaming with friends just before the event ended when we spotted a Winter Lord after exiting a mission in Faultline. We started fighting it, and much to our surprise, were suddenly surrounded by Zombies!
So after finishing off the WL, we turned our attention to the zombie hordes and destroyed wave after wave. Got 3 of the badges, but sadly no Elite Bosses spawned despite how quickly we dealt with the ones that were sent our way.
It was rather epic fighting the WL while also being assaulted by waves of zombies.
As for Rikti... just wait until the Lady Grey TF comes up as the weekly 
We're all beating the game, Kheldian style. 
I don't mind their absence, really. Of the three mentioned events, the only one I find somewhat interesting is the 'Deadly Apocalypse' (which I'm assuming is the event with the banners), and I've rarely seen anyone even seriously *attempt* to successfully complete it.
I cared about the Rikti invasions back when I was after Vanguard merits, but since I no longer need those...
Back when teams would readily form up to fight GMs, I was always happy to join. I remember when Lusca was spawning multiple instances in IP and a team or two of us systematically did three of them in a row.

I think some of it is because the GM's/Events don't give much in terms of drops or XP that people don't want to do them once they get the badges

I've heard that the zombie attacks happen when someone turns in Halloween salvage. Don't quote me.
Rikti invasions happen when a Lady Grey TF is completed.

So it occurred to me yesterday...I haven't seen a Rikti attack in months. Zombie attacks are almost non-existent too, only the rare Deadly Apocalypse sprouts up now and then to liven things up. And promptly get ignored, because really who cares about zone events and GMs, anyways?
Well, I do. And I kinda miss those aliens and their wacky antics in the streets, even if nobody else really gave a damn.
