So Dec. 20 has come and gone...
I disagree its a great set IMO. Lots of AOE and good single target ability. I find with momentum and build momentum I can maintain momentum about 80-90 percent of the time.
On a tanker its really nice getting aoes at such a low level.
Weapon clipping when you're combat ready. I have the sword on my HUGE model toon and when he is in a ready stance with the weapon, the blade goes right through his head. Ouch. Very cheap looking and poor quality.

Oog!
Unfortunately, I was stupid enough to try and end it in a hospital.
It sounds like half of your problems are with the momentum mechanics of the set (not gonna change) or clipping issues (inevitable with such big and varied weapons). And complaining about clipping with the wall you're standing next to? Really?
Aside from all of that, your only other complaint is the sound effects being off, which I think I'd agree with. But the rest of your complaints are non-issues for me, just a part of what the set is. I think the animations are awesome myself, I love the set, and nobody's complaining about the damage of course. (Well... nobody that's actually paying attention.)

My highest character is a Titan/Energy Scrapper, at level 27. Only major problem this far has, naturally, been some Endurance woes, but given that I start filling out with IOs right around this point on most of my characters, my little bit of experience thusfar is that that's mostly been solved already as long as I don't accidentally get the attention of several groups at once.
Actually, scratch that, my biggest annoyance has been that I tend to leave enemies with just slivers of health, and end up having to wait for Crushing Blow to recharge and re-animate without Momentum. This is actually probably helped my Endurance use overall, but if I make any more TW characters (right now in addition to the /EA, I have a /Regen as well), I think I'm going to go for a secondary with a damage aura.
I Disagree, first it's a really fun powerset and I love the Animation to that set it self, I really am not too picky about a powerset.
The Set was built too be slow and too have a really Crazy Damage output, it might be more powerful then most other sets. that why it slow, it's overpower, it needed to be weaking a bit with being slower to hit target and give a chance to increase Momentum.

Re: the delayed impact/sound effects
I think it was intentional. Made to mimic those parts in movies and anime where the guy swings his sword and the offending enemy appendage falls off after a bit of dramatic pause. Personally I kinda like it.
Yeah, the sound effects are my biggest problem. Arc and Whirling sound great, but the rest sound weak.

-The weapon clips all over the place (walls, items in your environment etc). Not a big deal and not much can be done about this but maybe the set should not have been made? It just looks weak.

As to the non-Momentum cast times, I really find them to not be an issue, and even if they were, TW is already such an incredibly strong set that I would not expect that particular idiosyncracy (I'm not sure it can even be called much of a weakness) to ever be fixed.
Better sound effects would be nice. The set sounds like Wiffle Bat Melee at times.
I don't like the set. I think it looks and sounds poor. That's why I didn't buy it. For those that like it, I'm glad you got a powerset that appeals to you. Something for everybody in this game, that's one of the many things that makes it great.

- The long animations can get annoying. When you don't have momentum, it can be a HUGE pain in the butt. The worst is when you are winding up and your team wipes out the target during your wind-up.

Also, you get Momentum if you were going to hit the target whether it dies beforehand or not. So your next targets in for a world of hurt.

The sounds and animations/impacts on targets/delayed reaction are my main issues.
You kiddin'? I have 800 banked points that came along as part of my subscription. If I wanted Titan Weapons, it wouldn't cost me a dime.
I'm really enjoying the set thus far. My TW/EA Scrapper is lvl 41 currently, and even without sets he's pretty beastly. Yeah, there are still some issues with the set, the most glaring being that the cone attacks don't seem to reliably activate when attacking a moving target, and yes, there are some delayed hit effects, but I don't think I've had this much fun with a powerset in a very long time.

It's a bit odd that StJ has an AoE with a very limited range, but with that sound I feel like I'm crushing enemies left and right, while TW has AoEs where I really am crushing enemies left and right, but it doesn't sound like it.

I love the Staff Fighting animations...now I'm hoping the sound effects are just as awesome.

I was very "WTF" when I first heard of it... it just struck me as being odd and too manga for me - and I expected not to like it but I saw someone with it and got a concentp, bought the set and love it. Having a lot of fun with it.

I bought TW and the pack a few days after they came out. I still haven't rolled one though.

Titan Weapons has turned out to be my favourite set in the entire game, by far. I've been wishing for one for so long now I don't even remember when I first got the idea. Something like 2006 or 2007, at least. Creating a character with that set has revitalised the game for me to such an extent I can't stop myself from playing it, and the ideas I have for this just keep on coming and coming and coming.
Obviously, the set has some animation problems, but I hope the Paragon Studios animators will do the responsible thing and fix those some time soon. But aside from those timing issues, the animations are AMAZING. Yes, they clip with walls a lot, but that's just because of how big they are. They take up a lot of real estate, and that's a good thing.
Issues and "other" characters aside, however, what made this game great for me all over again was Xanta:
She is in danger of becoming my most favourite character I've ever made, and Titan Weapons is a big reason why this is.

...and Titan Weapons has been out for two weeks. What does everyone think so far? I tried it on beta and then opted to buy it. I don't know if I should have.
I do like the actual idea. The weapon is big but not titanic-like. They could have used some more creative/original skins for the weapon and not try to scam us for a pack on top of the original pack.
So, my biggest problem is the poor quality of the animations.
-The wind up on some attacks - the weapon disappears into the ground (partially) on the back swing. Kinda lame.
-The weapon clips all over the place (walls, items in your environment etc). Not a big deal and not much can be done about this but maybe the set should not have been made? It just looks weak.
- Weapon clipping when you're combat ready. I have the sword on my HUGE model toon and when he is in a ready stance with the weapon, the blade goes right through his head. Ouch. Very cheap looking and poor quality.
- There is another thread discussing the many issues with the sounds and the animations being off (impact happens well after the weapon has supposedly made contact and visual animations are off). I can't find the link but I agree with the OP there too. He made a few vids highlighting the issues.
- The long animations can get annoying. When you don't have momentum, it can be a HUGE pain in the butt. The worst is when you are winding up and your team wipes out the target during your wind-up.
Anyway, just some issues. I like the idea of the set and it isn't bad but these issues are constant and bug me. For $10 this set should have been way better.
