QFT, Demo.

This was the follow-up concept to my Bane, and it filled that niche very nicely.

Titan Weapons gets two blue thumbs-up from this guy.

I *want* to like it... I'm trying to... But I just don't think it's working out. I suspect it's only a matter of time before I give up and delete the TW/WP scrap I made to play around with it.

It has nothing to do with the relative power of the set or the damage numbers it puts out. Those are fine... No. What it really comes down to is not liking the basic "feel" of the set. I don't like the jerky, stop-and-go animations and variable attack speed. I hate having to juggle momentum. The set just doesn't have the kind of fluidity of motion that I prefer in a melee character. It's seems to be a little like spines, katana and ninja blade in that way to me... only much, much worse.

One thing I will say is, the animations have a somewhat flow to them, especially if you have momentum...but if you're running Ninja Run or Beast Run while attacking, much of that flow vanishes.

All in all, I think the movements and attack animations are just fine...no better than Kinetic Melee, definitely not worse than Broadsword. If one keeps that in mind, I don't see why people would think the animations are bad or goofy.

The only thing that'd make the set feel better is if the sword caused sparks/scratch marks when it touches the ground or walls during animations which is impossible with our current game engine.

I think it was intentional. Made to mimic those parts in movies and anime where the guy swings his sword and the offending enemy appendage falls off after a bit of dramatic pause. Personally I kinda like it.
For the record, I have the same problem with my Beam Weapon powerset. Maybe it's a base problem in the new sets?

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

I know this is all very subjective, but to me it's much worse than either Broadsword or KinMelee. (Having multiple characters with those two sets, I'm pretty familiar with them at this point-) While neither of those two sets "flow" as well as Dual Blade or Claws in my experience, they're nothing like way Titan moves either. If either of my Broadsworders had stalled and stuttered like Papageno (the TW scrap-) does, they'd have long gone the way of the dodo.

So, to each their own, I guess...
It's more interesting when we don't all bring the same sets to a fight, anyway.
