With Fuller at the Helm? I'm very conflicted here...it could actually be awsome .

Brian Fuller is at the helm. Therefore it will be wierd, awesome, and immediately cancelled.

Story Arcs I created:

Every Rose: (#17702) Villainous vs Legacy Chain. Forget Arachnos, join the CoT!

Cosplay Madness!: (#3643) Neutral vs Custom Foes. Heroes at a pop culture convention!

Kiss Hello Goodbye: (#156389) Heroic vs Custom Foes. Film Noir/Hardboiled detective adventure!

Oh, c'mon, dont y'all remember that great pantheon of reboots, The Munsters Today?

I mean, the theme song was the same, but with LYRICS!

Totally sweet. Can't wait to see how they do this reboot's theme!

But god forbid they keep Community on.

Vampires are big. Fantasy is big. B&N now has a Young Adult Paranormal Romance section.

But NBC proper currently suck at dramas, only their comedies have a remote chance of succeeding.

Hmmm. Now only if there was a supernatural/paranormal comedy series from the past we could relaunch (cause nobody is willing to risk an original idea) ...

Edit: Just got around to reading the link. Okay an hour drama. Still, NBC's recent record for drama's isn't all that great.

Better the Addams Family than this, any day. Unfortunately, that's already been tried.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

The Munsters: For Real

Herman struggles to balance the oddness of his supernatural heritage and his regular, everyday struggles on the job as a police detective...
While his wife battles to survive as vampire mom and wife and chief nurse at the local city hospital.
It's gritty... It's real... It's The Munsters!

First episode deals with Herman being reprimanded by his police chief for repeated property damage committed on the job... Lillian works with others at the hospital to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of stored blood...
And their wolfson, Eddie, discovers that he prefers licking boy dogs, over girls.
Meanwhile, their teenage daughter struggles with the perpetual hindrance that her family causes on her social life.

Quick! Someone go dig up Fred Gwynne and staple him back together! He's got a part to play!

It's funny but the instant I saw the title of this thread I thought to myself, "NBC can't even get something like a reboot of Wonder Woman going yet they're going to try redoing the Munsters?" Then when I read the article the very first sentence mentions pretty much the same thing. Oh well...

I'm conflicted. Torn between laughing at this idea and being interested because Brian Fuller is doing it. I'm also mad that Brain Fuller is doing this and not more Pushing Daisies.

Oh, and this from the article's comments:

"Isn't there already a show where the family is made up of utterly clueless monsters? Yeah, it's called "The Kardashians" or something like that."

Whenever I hear someone mention the Kardashians I always think of the Cardassians myself. Besides the Kardashians are so unlike "normal" humans anyway they might as well be from outer space.

Let's not forget that Shows like the Munsters,Addams Family, and even the honymooners weren't successful when they first aired as none of them made it passed a third season..They just filmed many more episodes a season back then (Munsters first season was over 30! and they only made it to two seasons)

So saying that, even if this re-reboot flops after a couple seasons it will last as long as the original.

It's as though when NBC heard that they had the third most popular show with third greatest concentration of adults 18-49 with four or more years of college*, they figured the best thing for them to do would be to put it on the bench and try to come up with some old-style dumb TV.

* Parks and Rec and The Office are ahead of it.

I would... actually like to see that, TrueGentleman. Go pitch that!
