X-Men: First Class to get a sequel

Not suprised. X:FC was good and I don't see Fox wanting to give up the rights to X-Men, so they're going to want to keep making movies as long as they can.

I'm wondering if they'll decide to break away from the earlier films even more by introducing characters like Cyclops and Jean Grey while it's still set in the 60s or 70s or if they'll go with more obscure ones to keep the focus on Xavier and Magneto again.

Yeah it will be interesting for sure.

I know I was one that was very skeptic about how X:FC would turn out but I still think it was the best "super-hero" movie that came out this past summer.

Ick... the dude is associated with The Last Stand? I am instantly less excited. That flick killed what woulda been a good trilogy otherwise.

Originally, i wouldve just blamed Ratner for the reason X3 was so bad, but after taking a look at some of the other scripts the writer had a hand in, yeah, im worried about a sequel now as well.

Ugh. The whole thing could have been soooo much better. I'l still watch it even though I think the movies have been botched.

Well I for one will be patiently awaiting the Nightcrawler procreation scene!

Anyways, I really liked the First Class and I hope the second film is every bit as good.

They're still not getting a dime from me till the rights go back to Marvel. I'll wait till cable...that's not a contradiction; my cable is free cuz I work for the cable company.

keeping expectations low as for most sequels...but I enjoyed FC regardless.

First Class was much better than I expected. Really left me wanting more, more exploration of the relationship with Charles and Erik, more with the guilt of the gunshot. More tracking down mutants. Just more all around!

Yeah, it's a little weird that his survival/evolution ability somehow didn't help him survive? Even in the comics, his ability has kicked in and teleported him away, when there was no chance of survival otherwise.

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

To be honest, I hadn´t even heard about him before Secret Invasion. But according to his wiki entry Darwin lost his physical form on his first mission as an X-Man and for some time existed as a being of pure energy.
So I´d say there´s some hope for him to return in the movie as well.

And the teleport-away-thing happened in a battle against a really p*ssed off Hulk, and not even right at the start of it. In X-Men:FC he couldn´t even know that he had (pretty much) no chance against Shaw, as he didn´t see him use his powers before he (Darwin) got blown up.
