UFO spotted at NFL game
Insects. Next.
No wonder they keep crashing on Earth if they move at that speed so close to the ground.

Firstly, reading through the article... the writer tried to do something a little dirty.
He presents the UFO guy
He the presents the "skeptics"
And then he has something UFO guy says as if the skeptic said.
I don't like that...
Secondly, I'm in no way an expert but I have no idea what that was and I reject the standard skeptical responses of what it is. Why?
#1. The "3 lights" move from back to front. Rods (as they are called) don't look anything like that and I don't think any insect we know of does.
#2. While one can argue that it is an insect very close to the lens I can't agree. The idea is that it's close and the contrast messes up a bit so it displays the bug as if it is behind something else when it isn't... But in the video we see the object go behind a bright white structure and then a dark structure and it does it without any sort of composite looking after image type effect. While that happening with one structure would be ok in my book, having it happen behind two structures that are oppositely contrasted seems like it wouldn't happen to me, but i don't mess with cameras much so don't know.
#3. My first reaction to this was that it's a meteorite. The reason I don't think it is a meteorite is because you can clearly see it change it's trajectory from 45 degree down toward the ground to nearly flat with the horizon...
It could be anything. The video is time lapsed confusing the matter, you can tell by the people moving at superspeed on the lower left corner.
Am I the only one who noticed that there are three of those things in that video? There's the first one that swoops in from upper right to lower left, then one that just cuts across the upper left corner of the screen, and then finally the one that seems to swoop down and then level off.

Clearly it's 3 Peacebringers on a Rocket Board, then one jumped off when they went behind the building.
By definition it is an UFO (Unidentified Flying Object). , at least until it gets positively identified.

It's like dust in a sun beam, you have a beam of light and a dark background and every bit of dust is lit up. Flood the whole room with light and all the dust becomes invisible.
The "lights" is just the light hitting the wings coupled with whatever frame rate the video was taken at. You get a similar effect with car wheels seems to revolve backwards on film.
Additionally, the second's "flight path" is identical to a lot of insects.

also north of the cathedral is an airport.
Time lapse planes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESQ62l86Ngs
although we don't have the proper speed or angles of the video we can see a comparison.
To me it looks like planes either landing or taking off.
Edit: another unknown , is it time-lapse forward or backward. ?
Time lapsed photography of airplanes seems logical enough to me. Especially because there are 3 airports near that area in New Orleans. Even more so... based on it's angle of decent... that actually looks like a plane coming in for a landing. And, classically, UFO sightings tell of these things moving in zigzags. You know, ways a normal aircraft couldn't possibly replicate.
Blah UFO's aren't real, most be a plane, or a Comic, might be a top Secret Air Craft the Government design but not a real Alien Space Craft. There also so many ways to fake a UFO Sighting also these days.

We're talking about something with intersteller capabilities here... a technological marvel beyond our comprehension.
If the alien visitors wanted to be seen, they'd be seen. No flitting around bad camera angles. Park over a major metropolis and call it a day.
If the alien visitors did not want to be seen, they would not be seen. No flitting around bad camera angles. Make observations from orbit content in the knowledge that the material you made your craft out of for stealthy observation is far beyond any sort of observational ability of the world you're observing.
After all, for your kind the light barrier wasn't insurmountable. Why would revealing yourself or hiding yourself be any kind of challenge?
edit: When in doubt about whether something is an alien craft or not, err on the side of physics.
Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."
I refer to the Great Sage Gin Rummy on this one
"Simply because you don't have evidence that something does exist does not mean you have evidence of something that doesn't exist."
" Well, what I'm saying is that there are known knowns and that there are known unknowns. But there are also unknown unknowns; things we don't know that we don't know"
In other words "the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence"
The fact that there is a 'logical' explanation for something does not make the 'logical' explanation automatically true.

And wanting the logical explanation to be false does not make it so.

a good rule of thumb is Occam's Razor.
Foreward. Another video ripped from a DVR shows the clock on the building clearly moving forward at least 45 minutes through the entire clip.
|
Proof it's a time lapse. Which makes sense since they're filming at night, thus, each frame needs to have a large time exposure (large for photography) in order for what they're shooting to not be dark. This causes the light from a plane to be a streak. And for the blinking strobe light to appear as two to three dots.
So, do you believers still want to believe?
