I'm with Sypher, mainly because of something Zwill said in a coffee talk a few weeks ago.
The next powerset (and I think it's a Free-to-VIP powerset, too) would be one with a name that players thought would be one thing, but would turn out to be something different.
That seems to coincide with Autumnal pretty well, considering alot of people were thinking it meant plants and stuff and not dual wielding fire and ice swords.

The very source of the powersets names, identifies what the theme of those powers are.
There's no room to think it's something it's not. Particularly since we already have plant based control and assault sets.

That's why I think it could be it.
Regardless, whether it is the new set or not we'll find out in a week at the Player Summit, but I'm willing to bet that it is.
I really hope the next set is not Autumnal Control. I'd much rather see Dominators and Controllers tread completely new ground. Electric was already a rehash of a concept already covered extensively by other ATs and really felt conceptually unnecessary to me, since it could have been themed as anything else and increased the total options for character concepts. Fire and ice have already been done to death.
If I had to guess I'd say the next set is either Light or Dark, or both. I really don't care for Dark (rehashed concept again already covered elsewhere) but if its easier to start with a powerset that is already partially built I guess I can see it. Would still rather something built from the ground up, e.g. Beam Rifle, Time Manipulation, etc, which tread ground that was previously not covered. Also note that neither of these sets needed a directly "matching" secondary in order to be put into the game.

it isnt official on the forums but i can confirm right now we are planned a release of a set for dominators.
this information was given to me by a friend, however i cant say for certain which set it is.
Eh; something heard from an anonymous friend seems to pretty much qualify as a rumor without more confirmation.

maybe so to alot of ppl but no doubt they are planning something.
i live in the uk but my friend lives in the usa and he pretty much gets the info asking around, he may be wrong and indeed it is just a rumour to most, but im hoping hes right.

Please don't make a Autumn set dev. It's just a mix of fire/ice blasts and dual blade that we've already seen.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

not to come across rude in anyway but how could you even say that?
your assumption of a set we have no new information is pretty ignorant since all ive heard is "its a mix between ice and fire, oh its a dual blade type set" seriously give me a break man.
what happens in autumn? hmm? a mix of nasty weather springs to mind, like tornados ( in extreme circumstances) co0ld weather, lightning thunder storms, a big bag mix of possibly extreme weather conditions.
so before people start saying the same bag of nonesense as explained above please just think about the set, or even if it is the new set at all.
i personally wouldnt mind dark assault and dark control since it can be overpowering.
Dark is the new one. Confirmed. Couldn't be happier.

yeah and i believed it was the set, seriously alot of ppl need to grow up and get over it, at then end of the day all i did was put out a possibility and the chance for discussion, but all i heard was abuse over it on freedom fridays and on the stupid forums and it makes me wonder if its a game worth playing when u hav a bunch of ******** giving me grief, its a petty world we live in, but for a games company they shud exercise a lil more decorum since no player shud be getting **** off so called "veterans" or "experienced" players.
my verdict, the game is ******, and wats made it worse is the playerbase giving agro over lil things which makes other ppls lives a misery.
and before anyone says why dont i complain, ill give u a lil heads up, complaining to the devs is as about as useful as waiting for a new dom powerset, which the difference is um id say 2 years.

There's no point in getting your knickers in a twist. Just put it down to experience or lack thereof. Yes, Dark Control is coming but, even though I do not want it, Autumnal Control could still be something planned for the future as a paid set. Dark Control doesn't really fit the hint about it seeming like one thing but actually being another, and this seems to be much more like something that was planned for i21 (Dark Blast and Dark Manipulation for Blasters) but was pushed back because of timing and lack of resources. It's quite possible that Dark Assault had been sitting there ready for release but they were waiting for Dark Control to be released because it's completely new and would break the set parity that has been established for Dominators.
There you go. This is a one-off thing. Stop reading so much into every single thing, it's pathetic.
how is it pathetic, either it is tied or not, oh well thats your opinion and i have mine.
