REQUEST: A.O.E. Heavy Build.
Crab Spider + Leviathan Power Pool.
Supression
Arm Lash
Frag Grenade
Venom Grenade
Frenzy
Omega Maneuver
School of Sharks
Arctic Breath
Bile Spray
You can also go Super Jumping and pick up Spring Attack for another AoE.
And there are the three pet summons you can get, which might not be AoE in and of themselves, but are free damage.
Plus Crabs are pretty survivable, especially if you can pick up some defensive set bonuses. And with Maneuvers they're always welcome on teams. ^_^
*cuddles softcapped, permahasten, all three pets permaed Crab who has more Res and HP than an /FA Brute*
Until I see something that states to the contrary, going to assume VK is right .
|
VK: Don't forget that a Crab Spider can also take Heavy Burst from the initial Soldier of Arachnos powers.
How about a Spines/FA/Mu scrapper? :3
You get...
2 damage aura, one of these probably the best one in the game
2 PBAOEs, one of them the FANTASTIC Burn
2 cones
1 ranged Aoe
I'll suggest you a Blast Rad / Psi or Rad / Dark. Very fun to play in melee.
With Musculature Alpha and Dark judgement incarnate.
To survive : Accolades (Eye of the Magus), Destiny Incarnate, Maybe Hibernate as epique pool.
Here's mine, with Drain Psyche in perma :

"Mangez du clown c'est bon pour la sant !"
Pseudo Global : @Ardzog
Super Groupe : Les Biloutes
Also add a rad/fire blaster into the mix..
AOEs or TAoEs:
Irradiate
Neurton Bomb
Electron Haze
Blazing Aura
Hot Feet
Fire Sword Circle
Combustion
Consume
Burn
Then from a patron you can add any of these pairs:
Electrifying Fences and Static Discharge
School of Sharks and Bile Spray
Night Fall and Soul Tentacles
Guardian of CHRYSALIS
Victory Limitless- /chanjoin "Victory Limitless"
P.E.R.C. First Chair- P.E.R.C. Site, Victory Over Hamidon
Thanks everyone. I like these suggestions. I have a Crab Spider already never thought of it as an area effect type but your right, with some minor tweaking it could be. For the new character I think I'm going to go with a blaster Rad/Fire. It looks like it has fun area effects and with the right color combo is going to be visually fun as well. Thank you again.
My SS/FA/Mu Brute with lotsa recharge is insane AoE fun. If he dies, its another AoE too!
I decided to make one of each lol.
GO ELec/Sheild Brute take spring foot SF<LR<SC Awesome combo all will die

perma jump is ---> /up 1
I've said it before, I'll say it again. Rad/Fire. Take your pick of either /Fire or /Force for your APP.
And this is why.
(Link points to XFire video of many Rikti being melted)
That's running +0/x8 Bosses on. Of course, that's also around 2B in IO's (about 90% of that being the LotG's, a Miracle proc, and Steadfast Res/Def), and a T3 Clarion, but still. It's a Blaster soloing x8 Rikti, with minimal inspiration use. (By minimal I mean, you can see that I used a medium purple for the first alpha, and then spammed a few greens at the end before I died. lol)
My SS/FA/Mu Brute with lotsa recharge is insane AoE fun. If he dies, its another AoE too!

The tray is like
1) Burn
2) Footstomp
3) Ball Lightning
4) E. Fences
5) Judgement just 'cause it's cool when it's up, not even necessary
6, 7, 8) convert everything to red insps
9) delete awakens
Titan Weapons is also an AoE heavy set with enough ST to smash hard targets into the ground.
For a road less traveled, Dark/Dark blaster is really fun. It also includes an endurance replenishing power for more nuking!

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
It's a shame that noone is including any of the ATs with buff powersets in here. Although most of them can't really expect to out AoE a lot of brutes and spine scraps, you'll find that Kinetic Corruptors paired with an appropriately overpowered primary, like Fire or Archery, are able to completely obliterate spawns with one or two AoEs due to the insane damage buff from Fulcrum Shift. More impotantly, the Fulcrum will benifit the entire team, whereas most of the suggestions so far are selfish farm-melee builds that only benifit you. These are just some things to think about.
Also for a road REALLY less traveled, AoE with Trick Arrow's Oil Slick Arrow. But now I'm really off topic and playing something like a Trick Arrow / Fire Defender might be a slow and semi painful experience before you really get slotted up, plus it's putting all of your faith into some -res debuffs and Oil Slick Arrow's damage, which is underrated by most people but really not something so great that it magically lets you outdps SS / Fire Brutes.

[Union Chat]Sebaddon: If you want to, we will, if you think it's weird, no, that's damz, not us.
[Union Chat]Damz: hey cyber, i am your naked pope for the evening, please confess to me my child
Of all my aoe toons (fire/fire blaster, ss/fa brute, etc), the wildest was my fire/storm/psi troller. Almost all aoe base attacks (I think I got only two single target attacks), using the fire imps as mere meatshields, the fun of consistent blue bar crashing, and the ability to agg a whole room without even trying.
But with a little work and cash, a fire/storm troller can be amazingly fun to play. Plus they're never boring, like say my ss/fa brute. And you're even useful to a team besides just being a damage bot due to your debuffs.
And add to the mix, you don't see alot of them running around.
/Empaths can turn three people into Jesus, one person into God, and everyone else into the twelve apostles.~Angry_Citizen
Don't you know that discussion of power selection/slotting can ONLY be based on hearsay, rumor, idle speculation, and bald-faced lies??!? ~Elf_Sniper
My current favorite aoe toon is a Dual Pistols/Mental Manipulation blaster and I am not a fan of blasters at all.
SS/fire/mu brute is great too but a bit common, but for good reason.
I also enjoy my fire/cold corruptor it dishes an incredible amount of aoe and brings a lot to any team, very fun combo. This toon has long been one of my favorite pairings in the entire game.
I forgot Plant/fire/fire dominator, this is in all probability the highest damaging aoe toon in the game.
Hello everyone. I'm trying to branch out and play something for the shear fun of it. No farms, no PVP, just a fun and awesome pve aoe character. I don't care what archetype just as long as it is the king of area effects. I have about 100 mill to spend right now. I am willing to travel to to get things I need. This will be fun for TFs and solo/team missions. Thank you for your input.
