Will we as players finally get long-delayed (Street) Justice tomorrow?

Would someone explain to me what makes Street Justice so hypeful and eagerly anticipated? Is it the new mechanics? Is it the animation? Is it the fact that it's a punching set that scrappers can use?

I don't get it.
Street Justice is the first set to truly be able to replicate the following impression:

"Damn man, that dude got his [word starting with 'A' that means butt or donkey] beat!"

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

/this. It's like they looked at what was up with Dual Blades and said, "OK, now let's do a combo system properly."

And to me it feels about "right" as being halfway between flashy MA and Superstrength (which, I have to say, I like as a set - but I'm remaking one SS character as SJ, possibly an MA as well.)

It's live in the store right now, but if you don't have 800 points, you're gonna have to wait until the maintenance on the plaync site is finished to buy some!

Think they can boost interest in the facepalm emote by putting street justice on sale an hour after it appears on the market?

To quote a monkey friend of mine, "Cuuuuurses!" Now, I have to halt my Time/Beam progress and focus on my Street Justice stalker! Now, if only I had the strength to call out sick. Nah! See everyone on the streets this afternoon!

Despite some people's explanations, I still don't get the level fanaticism over the set.

Outside of Shin Breaker (which looks to be reasonably skippable), it's about the stylinest melee set around. It's one thing to beat everybody down, but it's another thing entirely to beat them down with incredible finesse.

It's a true "brawler" set. For those who want to play a street-level hero who's only powers are his wits and 'dirty' fighting, this is it. Martial Arts came close with the alt animations but that sets unreliable secondary effects and still reliance on kicks made it a ill fit. This set is what you want when you want a character like Night Thrasher or Daredevil or even Robin. The fact that the devs said that the fight scene from "They Live" was a heavy influence shows just how much they Nailed this set...

The smooth combo system is just gravy.

(runs off to make at least 3-4 SJ toons)

I feel exactly the same way about staff fighting. Different strokes for different folks.

For me it comes down to this: Up until now I've never be much for purely melee oriented characters in this game but I'm actually looking forward to giving Street Justice a try. If this powerset can get a non-meleer to try it then there must be something good there.

Ryver 50 Ele Blaster [1392 Badges]

I like it and agree with the style comment above. It does look cool on either male or female characters. I'm currently playing it on Beta server only because I don't want to shell out RT$ for a power set that isn't going away anytime soon and I can wait until the free PP are there.
Highly recommended.

You have every right to complain. And other people have every right to tell you they think you are wrong. As long as both sides don't violate the rules of the forums anyway, since really none of us have any right to free speech on the forums, they are privately owned and regulated.

So go ahead and complain, and others will say that your complaint is wrong and you are both happy. See how that works?

Unless you are trying to say that you can complain, but no one can complain to you about your complaint. That would be a tad hypocritical, don't you think?
