Still no vanguard Warmace?

Come on, since the Celestial version of war mace is just a reversed battle axe, why can't we get the vanguard warmace already? Just make a reverse battle axe if you can't think of something else. I still wonder why some weapons have more options than others.

A Vanguard mace makes no sense.

^This. The Vanguard Weapons are all for edged weapons. They are basically razor-thin planes of energy that you can use to cut through stuff. A razor-thin mace makes no sense.

Of course, the box doesn't make much sense either, but makes more than a mace would. However, maybe a Mace with a four-sided head that looks like the vanguard plates you can put on your boots would be appropriate.

You'll get a monomolecular Warmace as soon as you can explain how a monomolecular three dimensional composite surface can exist.

It not need to be literally Vanguard use but more like a style of Vanguard. Or... Not all Vanguard weapons have to be based on same technology. They use projectiles and energy weapons as well. So perhaps they could have some special prototype maces in store.

Yeah why not a big glowie stun stick. Or a Rikti head nailed to a piece of wood. Or Stuffed rikti monkey. See there's 3 themed maces/clubs right there.

Tell that to the vanguard rifle.

Be a little more creative and not so 1 dimensional. Check the arachnos maces for example:

Swap the blade portion of the mace with a vanguard blade and remove the red tip, job done.

Oh god now I know why someone mentioned in a newbie thread to stay away from the suggestion forum. Thanks anyway.

Its funny how many people will bash a simple easy to implement suggestions isn't it?

A vanguard mace makes perfect sense since maces with blades already exist in the game.

I can't, but apparently the Vanguard scientists can, since they made a shield out of it.

Talsorian Maces made no sense but a Vanguard Mace doesn't have to equal a Talsorian mace.

I wish I still had the link, but I seem to recall one of the devs launched into a long and technical response as to how the talsorian weapons worked, and just why the mace was impossible.

I believe BAB's response to that was that the field would lack the weight to be an effective club and you might as well just hit them with the emitter.

And BABs is gone now, the weapons are no longer "Talsorian", and this is a game based on the superhero genre where Super-Science explanations don't require more than a hand-wave.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

And did anyone catch the MACE shown above? The mace that has BLADES on it? Blades that could easily be changed into vanguard blades? All of the "its impossible" or "this doesn't make sense" stuff goes out the window when you look at it. If any hero/villain in the game can have access to maces with blades on them through patrons, why not a vanguard version with blades?

Hey, here's a suggestion: what if the Vanguard Mace was the wand/staff the Vanguard spell casters used?
You'd get a cool glowie effect, and that thing does look like it would hurt like hell to be smacked with.

Its a bit ugly, but that is actually a pretty good idea and it makes sense... sorta.

I'd imagine it would need some tweaking to work as a mace seeing how long it is.

Clubbing them with a laser-matrix projection system while the laser matrix is active is just as effective as clubbing them with a laser-matrix projection system while it isn't, only doing the former is shinier, and wholly more appropriate for the superhero genre, where such devices are justified. Or, put more simply:

Vanguard Maces would be Strong & Pretty.

Spin it together into a tube and start hitting people with it. Fill it with lead buckshot if it's not heavy enough.

Or, I don't know, give us a "glowing energy mace" and make up your technobabble of choice while the patch is downloading.
