No joy here either. I even tried changing my password again, you know, just for old times' sake but that, again, did nothing.
Looks like I'll have to spend the evening seeing what the competition's doing then.

i did the forum bug fix....and also now like you guys cannot get into the game. Was meant to be running a few trials and mishes with friends tonight *sigh*

Kind of gutted that I've missed a nice bulk of the headstart and also getting the tasty names on VIP, but I can live with that, as long as I can get on there before the sale ends on beam rifle.

Following similar advice, I removed then reinstalled the game all over again and the problem remains. However, I do not believe this is a problem with our clients but more something on the account side of the fence.
Having now done the equivalent of 'turn it off then back on again', I hope someone starts taking this bug seriously before it claims more EU subscribers trying to regain access to the forums.
Not the headstart weekend I was hoping for.

We just received an update from our engineering group:
We've discovered an issue where EU players with accounts that contain over 14 characters whom change their passwords will be unable to log into the game. We're working to resolve this ASAP, however it may not be corrected until very early next week due to this affecting the log in server. ( as such we have to show extra caution when handling this data).
I apologize for the delay in update and the inconvenience.

That is one of the weirdest bugs I've ever heard, but you guys get full marks for the engineering group being around to tell you Saturday evening.

also every ticket i email in where tech helps, when i said a reply it allways bounces back grrrr ive tried email support everything so each step i have to add the info from each ticket and start all over again, dont know what is going on but swtor carnt come soon enough lol
Thanks a lot Z and the engineers working at this hour. But I have to say, at least 4 days without being able to play, just after one of the biggest issue of the history of the game, during a week end... it's really annoying.

Thanks again to all the engineers working on the weekend and thank you for the update. I understand that it'll take time to fix but it's a relief to know that at least it's been found.

My username is exactly 14 chars long. It was 12 chars before the server list merge and someone stuck "EU" on the front of it.
As I also own the NA account (never used pass the first month) that had the same name can someone put NA on the front of that one and remove the EU on my live one please?
I hope they can fix this soon, I'm gonna be miffed if I miss the Beam Rifle sale because of this.

Anyway, I told them that the bug has been found (because it seems that the link between support and tech team is the client), and that they could forget I ever asked them for help.
Do we know if this is going to be fixed soon? I know Z said beginning of the week but I'd like to have even an estimated ETA unless they're gona make us wait til after tues maint.... I really miss my game and missing out on all the cool stuff
I'm guessing we won't be getting any time back either due to the account lockout even though it isn't our fault

I really hope they get us in soon, I really don't want to miss any of the headstart badges because a bug has locked me out of the game!
