I made the character today, of course. I chose to start in Outbreak for an easy way to level 2. Yeesh, my power bars look pretty empty. The only powers I'll have until at least level 6 are brawl, blackwand, nemesis staff, sands of mu, and throwing knives.
Hopefully I can make it to at least 6 by the end of today.

Are you not using temp power recipes or only using ones that drop on the character? Otherwise why not send yourself several temp recipes and the salvage for them before level 6?

This'll be an interesting character to watch in action once he hits 10 and starts tossing temp attacks every which way.
Heck, if he's on Virtue I might actually get to see him.
I think this is totally doable. It's going to take a LONG time, and you'll have to be really careful about temp power management. But hey, carefully take your Pool powers, and then frequent Bloody Bay for some Shivans, you should be golden!

Yes, I'm on Virtue, and just joined my first team, actually. I picked Willpower as my secondary to follow the theme.

Well, I made my first mini goal - level 6! I picked Boxing, since it will forever be better than Kick, and I'm heading to Kings Row now.

I really don't see why this build wouldn't work.
Your damage output would be pitiful, but you'd still have WP's survivability, and the ability to run at 0/0 when solo if needed.
No reason this character shouldn't work out for you.

Why did you eliminate AE content? There's plenty of legit arcs, filled with standard characters & challenges you can play. Limiting yourself to 'no Farms' sounds inline with your goals, but all of AE?...that's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Also, if you open yourself to AE possibilities you can use my arc, "The Crafter's Cafe" #487283, to craft your temp powers at AE and it won't give you a lick of XP but it will save you on all that travel time getting to and from the Uni/RWZ/Base crafting tables. Plus, tickets will make getting salvage a lot more feasible without the need for twinks from your alts.
Good luck on your challenge and don't forget to grab even more temp power attacks & defense via Ouro!

Ah, the return of the MAN build. Take a controller, ignore your primary and secondary powers at levels 1, 2 and 4, then start into power pool powers at level 6. Take nothing but power pools from then on.
The OP's version seems a little watered down. Scrapper hit points, a useful inherent, AND you get to take powers from your secondary? Pfft.

Starting day 2! Level 10 is only 3 levels away, thankfully, although I plan to reach level 12 before I give up for the day. Right now, I plan on running contact/radio missions until I can find a team.
Oddly enough, I'm thinking of ideas for a second costume already...

Don't worry, I'm not gonna update every single day.
I got to level 12 today. I spent about 6 million influence buying temporary power recipes and salvage. Bad idea, I know. Unfortunately, I was completely out of temporary power uses within two missions. I did pick up Jump Kick at 12, so now I have a solid (albeit weak) attack chain when I run out of temporary powers.
Boxing -> Jump Kick -> Brawl -> Throwing Knives
Devastating.
I'm glad everyone on the teams I join are friendly about my gimpiness, although I did have one person get a little steamed after I used Smoke Flash to get out of being overrun from a Hand Grenade misfire.

Don't forget to get, craft and slot the kismet +acc def IO as it applies to all your temp power attacks and sits nicely in CJ.
Hmm reminds me of my attempted MAN build though yours is more MANLY than mine due to the fact my only restriction was power pools only from level 6 onward.

all the temp gun and shotgun abilities weapon skills and the bat to kind of give that
thematic touch, but not too sure of the cost in inf from 1 to 50?
Sorry for the newbish question (Newbie here) are these builds really expensive in the long
run to say. . buying IOs for a normal character from those span of levels?

The build is VERY expensive, depending on the market and your own recipe drops. Just yesterday, I spent 5-6 million on temporary powers alone. I HIGHLY suggest getting a lot of pool power attacks, and I haven't even thought about the cost of IOs yet.

So, my bad idea has come to fruition, and I dub it The Determinator challenge.
As you can see, I have a daunting task ahead of me. I have to get this guy from 1 to 50 using just temporary powers, secondary powers, and pool powers. Feel free to join me as I update this thread at least weekly. And feel free to give it a shot as well.
