Who Are You Re-Rolling?

I'm considering moving Major Decoy to another server and making a new one on my home server. The other option is just making Major Distraction.

I just have to decide between Shield Defense/Super Strength, Shield Defense/Martial Arts, and Shield Defense/Street Justice.

Probably because despite what we were once told, it doesn't really have one. It's got the same 1.05x you see on most of the other i0 Scrapper sets.

As for why reroll when there's plenty of room for new characters, that's because sometimes new powers fit old concepts better than what was available at the time. Rerolled characters of noteworthy level can be reimagined; renamed and/or shipped off to other servers, preserving the time invested in them.

I think it's pretty much a moral imperative that I make a new version of Dr. Continuum (currently a Grav / Rad Controller) as a Grav / Time. Probably won't delete the old one, since he's all purpled out. Maybe just have them as alternate versions of the same person. Just use a slightly changed name.

There was a MA / SR Scrapper I had back in Issue 1 which I deleted to make room for new characters, named Combatra. Might re-make as a SJ/SR or a SJ/WP. Back after a loooong absence.

If Titan Weapons has a maul-like weapon choice, I should re-roll Pounder Alice from Inv/Mace into Inv/TW. Or maybe TW/Inv. She's a tribute character to an NPC in a tabletop superhero RPG, girlfriend of one of the PCs, and might finally have maul big enough for the one-woman demolition crew of her concept.

"Most?" Are you referring to Broadsword and Broadsword vs. Claws, Spines, Dark Melee and Martial Arts?

I'll likely re-roll/re-conceptualize Moxie Girl from Kin/SR to SJ/SD when Street Justice drops.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

I'm rerolling my very first Scrapper (that lived past level 10) from MA/Regen to MA/SD. I just can't like /regen anymore. I go splat too much, and one of the things I liked about that character was all the neat little "extras" she had, such as Hover and the Weapon Mastery APP, which have slowly been whittled away over the years in a futile attempt to not go splat so much. I don't care how awesome Street Justice is though, MA still looks freaking sweet to me.

So I'm taking advantage of my first free server transfer to move her to the VIP server just so I have a character on the VIP server (where incidentally my name will not likely be taken) and reroll.

Ok, I do, but it's rare.

What I do often is create multiple versions of the same character.

My claws/dark brute, DB/dark scrapper, necro/dark mastermind, spines/dark stalker are all the same character with different names.

Dechs Kaison, my bots/traps, also has AR/nrg blaster, huntsman, and DP/traps defender versions. I plan to make a Beam Rifle something out of him next.
Should probably reroll your MFing warshade into a MFing peacebringer.

Trollin Slowa, my SR/Regen into StJ/Regen.

Aeolian Slowa, my Plant/Rad controller into Plant/Time

Not sure if I want to reroll, or just buy more slots...

Akiko Kiyzama is getting re-rolled from MA/SR to the much more fun StJ/WP. SR is such a 'feh' set to play, and MA is end hungry and...lacks oomph. Decent damage, sure, but...eh. I dunno.

Street Justice, though? Ticks all the boxes. AND looks decent too, even like a free-form Martial art that suits Akiko perfectly.

Oh, and my Sonics Fender is getting a Sonic/Beam Gun re-roll. Because I god-damn LOVE that set.

I'm planning on rerunning some toons for Street Justice, including a SS/SR brute named Old Wippernapper, who may be rerolled as either a StJ/SR or StJ/EA, as either would work with his concept. Also, a KM/Fire scrapper named Just Tracy will be rerolled as a StJ/Fire scrapper. I'm not sure whether time manipulation or energy beam will make me change any characters, but one character may be rerolled as a Dark Blast/Energy Manip Blaster (currently a D3). And thats about it.

I'll probably be rerolling my mothballed 20ish grav/storm controller into grav/time, since as a 'relativity controller' that's what he should have been all along. I may reroll my ma/sr into a sj/sr since sj fits a self taught fighter better, although really the powerset I'm waiting for there is scrapper /nin. And I might reroll my 20ish storm/dark and/or dark/psi defender to use fire blast. Not rerolling any 50s.

I have a level 50 DM/Fire Scrapper who I'd been planning on rerolling and changing sides constantly as I level, with the ultimate goal of seeing all or most of the Alignment Missions. Up to now, I'd been discouraged by the fact the 1-20 game is pretty boring, but I21 fixes that.

I may also change her to a DM/Fire Brute, not entirely sure yet. But it's nice to have the option.

I have 1.21 Jiggawatts on Freedom that is likely going to become an Electric Control/Time Manipulation controller. Just because the thought of it makes me giggle like a loon.

I'm not a fan of rerolling but my Cheetatron Series of characters may be getting a Beam/Traps brother

My "Spring Time of Youth" MA/SR may get a SJ/SR version (Though I just cant see having to start over in terms of badges and costum slots grrrr)

As such heroes who have the ability to drastically alter their powers (for whatever reason) are legally required to register separate identities for each distinct power combination who are then considered different entities from a legal point of view.

This caused a major legal problem when one hero tried to sue his insurance company for damages after his primary suit of power armor was destroyed in a fight while he was using his secondary suit. He argued that since the two suits were separate legal entities the primary suit was technically owned by an innocent bystander and as such his accidental property damage insurance should cover his costs in replacing the primary suit.

In any case they've considered replacing the system but the only output drive on the old system uses 5.25" floppy disks and the entire supply of those in Paragon City (owned by a historic computer museum) was recently stolen in a surprise raid by the Nemesis Army.
Brilliant.

Lady Spirit was always intended to be a fist fighter and Martial Arts was basically a compromise. The alternate animations for Martial Arts helped a lot when they were added, but with Street Justice, I suspect that she'll finally be getting remade as a real "brawler" like she was supposed to be.

I'm like the Anti-Steelclaw. I've never rerolled nor will I ever do so. I just prefer to make a new alt. On top of that some characters have powers I've completely forgotten about.

Can you guess I'm a very casual player?

I rarely if ever re-roll....

I simply create a new version in another slot

Tender Bar will probably get a SJ/Regen version....which will allow me to use KB without losing too much regen

Yeah... I've got a few to reroll/resurrect.

Dr. Corundum will be changed from a Stone/WP Brute to a Stone/Regen Brute, to better match his concept, and because I generally find WP to be boring.

With Energy Aura being redone, Terminal Steel will likely be reborn. I'm not sure if I will leave her as a SS/EA Brute, or switch out for a StJ/EA Brute (or Scrapper). (Although I still wish the devs would give us a no fade option for Energy Cloak!!)

I'm also debating if I should reroll Blazing Rave, SS/Fiery Aura brute, as StJ/Fiery instead.

I've also got a couple in mind for Titan Weapons, but I'm going to wait and see what that actually looks like/works like, before committing to that...

Only one that is getting rerolled is a level 4 Dark/Sonic Defender named Night Mirror. She's becoming a Dark/Dark blaster.

It's not really a re-roll though, the character has been a placeholder since I found out we were getting Dark Blast.

The rest of what I'm making will be new characters. I deleted a couple seldom played lowbie alts to make room on my home server.

I did, however, roll a SS/EA brute in anticipation of the upcoming changes to EA. He's level 12 or so now.

Probably nothing, those Power Pool aren't very interesting for me.

And prolly everyone will be using it on live release, so i won't be a cool kid then.

Ack! I have been Sam-Tow'd!

He mentioned more about the combat system of Street Justice, which so works for my Scrapper. Shes MA/Regen, and I always invisioned her a little more gritty. After Destiny's Stepchyld broke up, she was out of a job and took to the streets fighting thugs.

So it would just mke more sense that she was a gritty street fighter as opposed to a trained martial artist.

But I just leveled her from 1 to 35 on dbl XP weekend.

Oh my dilemma!

I know, right? I'm in sort of the same boat as you with Jun. She was born a mutant, with amazing strength and speed, but she had to hide those talents of hers and train herself to fight, so it just doesn't make sense for her to be pulling off crane kicks and jump kicks and flip kicks, since she learned to fight by fighting and picked up what she could from experience. I originally made her MA/SR because... Well, what options did I have for a Scrapper back in 2006? She's level 33 now, but she's going to be rerolled, and an old Kung Fu master will take her place as MA/SR

There's also the fact that Martial Arts looks a lot like a light fighter's set, which while appropriate to a little girl, is also a bit boring. Street Fighting is a heavy fighter's set, and on a little girl it looks both amazingly awesome and amazingly hilarious. I've always been a fan of letting the underdog tiny character kick ten kinds of *** and put big burly bullies on their knees

Argh! Why did Street Justice have to be delayed?

Yeah. This is my total issue right here. I wanted something "Mutant" and I also wanted something natural in combat. So I did what you did! But now, with street justice, Backup Dancer, who is becoming one of my fave toons (Even though Im not a fan of melee) could have the feel I invisioned for her.

So my concern is that...well...it's just literally the perfect pick for my concept, and story. So not taking advantage of it's grit brawler style just seems like Id be less true to my story for her.

Curses!
