Epic Pool Powers for All!
Sure would help my mastermind get their immobilize without having to feel dirty for the stuff needed to go redside.

I'd rather see APPs left open to all, and a group of Hero Patrons added, unlockable only by Hero Alignments. If you want ALL your epic pools opened, you'd have to run an arc on each side.

It's annoying having to switch over just for Shadow Meld and Scorpion Shield.
"PvP Messiah"
I'd like to see a few more Patron Pools added to cover a few concept areas, while keeping the Patron Pools redside, but just more awesome than the Ancillary Pool.
What really? Hero Patrons? Why would you want that at all? Does no one remember the complaints there were about tying Epic Pools to Villains before?
Not only did you have to unlock them, you have to become a lackey to a villain.
So what now? You want to jump on becoming Statesman's sidekick?

As far as the "becoming their sidekick" part goes... Did you forget the part where you betray them, beat them up, and TAKE their power?
EDIT: And to differentiate the Hero ones from the Villain, a new term, like "Tutor" or "Mentor" should replace "Patron".
@Roderick
I'd like to see a co-op contact whose arc requires you to defeat the four Recluse lieutenants that unlocks all the EPPs. This way, anyone of any alignment can take it and there is a good in-game rationale why you have access to any one of the Patron's EPPs.
Also, that contact is level 40+ so that you can unlock them *before* you hit level 41, thus doing away with the need to grant a respec.

No. Just like Lord Recluse, Statesman is a TF/SF contact, and would therefore be ineligible. Signature NPCs who have no purpose would be the perfect choices: Spark Blade (The Katana/Gun pool would be taken by a lot of people, I imagine), Rose Thorn, Flower Knight, Coyote (Give him somewhere to hang out outside the new tutorial), Back Alley Brawler (Again, move him outside the tutorial)... There's probably others that could be used as well.

Also, one doesn't have to not have a TF to not be the contact.
They can just as easily make all the Freedom Phalanx members in the Fort Trident base, as the contacts to gain sidekick status.
Nope. Still disagree with the idea of becoming sidekicked (as that's what it is if you're going to do a hero equivalent to patron), and still think it should remain a redside exclusive.
This is just sounding like "I want Gloom/Shadow Meld/awesome Patron Power" without ever having to go redside.
In which my opinion is, then stay with Ancillary which besides lacking a few sets for each AT, covers a lot of grounds on concept (more so once they update them)

This is "I want some awesome Patron Power that isn't Gloom/Shadow Meld/Scorpion Shield but is just as awesome, but can only be obtained from the blue side, while Gloom/Shadow Meld/Scorpion Shield are still only available red side".
More options FTW.
@Roderick
I would like to see epic pool powers available for both heroes and villains without going through the complications of becoming a full hero or vise-verse for villain patrol pool powers. A single mission where the hero infiltrates the Rogues to "procure" the powers of one of the patrons to use for good or a villain steals the secret of the epics for himself. As it stands, heroes get their epics at 41 automatically, whereas villains have to play dancing monkey for the patrons before they can be deemed "worthy".

Not at all. (OK, some other people in the thread said that. But not me.)

I see no reason to give more of what people were already complaining about.

Hero patron pools aren't the solution to this problem. If they're new pools, you'd just have villains clamoring to have them and complaining that they have to switch to hero side in addition to heroes complaining that they have to go villain to get the villain pools. If they're the same pools, that would just be incredibly lazy and completely nonsensical, since the villain pools are very distinct and thematically tied to the patrons.
The only real solution to the problem is to have hero side arcs to unlock the villain pools.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

I have no objection to earning access to the EPP's being alignment linked, provided that once you earn access it is irrevocable.
For example, a hero unlocks the blue side at level 40, then changes alignment to villain before leveling again, he or she should have full access to choose any one from either range.
The idea of heroic patrons is kinda cool too. . . Perhaps there should be Rogue/Vigilante patrons as well?
Okay, hold on. The people in this thread are all aware that you don't have to become a Hero to get access to regular ancillary pools, right?

Add in the fact that beginng with Issue 21 anyone can start any of the non-epic ATs in the new combined tutorial zone and based on the result of a sort of morality mission they either leave a villain or a hero. And as long as they have a 20 level on the red and blue side..they can start all 14 ATs there. So it will soon be possible to start a Warshade in tutorial and wind up a villain at zone 2. So it becomes even more unfair that a BRUTE that leaves the tutorial at level 2 and heads to Atlas park can just automatically start picking epic powers at 41 but a BRUTE that becomes a villian has to run an arc from a Patron to get access to those powers.
It just makes sense to do away with the special arc and let them simple start picking powers at 41. I do like your idea... Lets say that Heroic Brute wants thepatron powers rather than the ones assigned an heroic one then run a special mission and earn them and visa versa.. much better than running a whole arc for them.

Brutes redside automatically get access to Ancillary Pools at level 41. It's the patron pools they have to unlock.
So a blue side Brute and a red side brute would have access to the same Ancillary Pools at lvl 41, while the redsider would beable to unlock the patrons already, while the blue side brute would have to go rogue to do it.
And to the other post, about giving heroes an arc to take ont he patrons blue side to unlock them.../unsigned.
In what way does the word patron work with "never going to work with, never going to side with, going to bring you into justice"? Sure, you could go in redside saying "going to betray them" but they still have the patron status.

I almost regret having to cross to villain side temporarily to get the Patron Pool I want, but it's worth the trip (and effective 4 hero merits) if I also pick up the Demonic accolade while I'm over there.
So much easier to get than Eye of the Magus...
Ideally, I like the idea of Hero Patron arcs to match the villain ones.
