It almost HAS to be before the Halloween event. They won't release an issue during an event and it pretty much goes from Halloween to Winter event. If it's not out before the winter event then they miss they're "later this year" projection.

My bet is that i21 goes live just after the Halloween even ends and before the winter event begins. There is usually at least a 2-3 week window between them and it would be almost perfect for them to get it up and going then.

Of course, the downside is that you start getting into the holiday season and the last thing the Devs would want is a buggy issue release that ruins peoples holidays, be it players or staff.

If it comes out before Halloween, great! If not, I won't be too upset. If it isn't out before the winter event though, don't count on seeing it until January after the winter event ends.

As for open beta of i21? I will say 2nd week of September.

I want Titan Weapons... or at least more info about it so I know whether to keep looking forward to it or decide it's not for me. :\

So no comment on the Time Manipulation details? The set looks pretty dope so far.

Not sure you really can without the swift hammer of whatever putting the cabash on it. Anyone can read the regular sections of the forum, but only people logged in can see (and play) with the information. *shrug*

Haven't played it yet, but the info sure does give me embarrasing feelings down below reading about it.

I was only talking about the publicly available information. I don't see why there would be an NDA since all subscribers are now in Open Beta, but I do get that these forums are public.

It looks like a good mix of buff, debuffs, and heals. I'm curious to see how well the Heal Over Time mechanic goes over in this game.

I guess we are done then..........

Stupid new characters to make. Will probably be doing a Time Troller (pairing with? I dunno. Electric?) and Corr (probably with beams) depending on when/if I can actually play on Test. Want to to Street Justice Brute, but not sure what to pair it with. And want to give Poison another chance on a Troller, but revamping my Poison MM might suffice enough.

And now that you are caught up on the thoughts of Voodoo, you can rest easy.

Time Manipulation is awesomesauce.
I went Fire/Time Corruptor and picked up Dark Mastery as my APP.
Why dark mastery?
Because if you don't have some form of self-endurance recovery you will be very sad.
Even with Dark Consumption, if I use it too early I am in trouble.

Its a very busy set though. But very fun :3

That said, I have a Beam/Time Corruptor made for testing when Street Justice gets turned off next week. >_>

I didn't understand the blurb in the notes about this.....was there more info as to why?

Street Justice isn't going to be available at i21's launch, just like I'd guessed. It'll be coming a few weeks later.

(And that was an actual guess inferred from what they said at Comic Con, not any sekrit beta knowledge.)

Sure.......but from what I saw/read, there are going to be a few things currently active in Beta that "won't be available" right at launch either. But no mention of those things being turned off. Maybe I understood incorrectly. Either case, Justice is going to be switched on fairly soon after launch; I just don't get why that's a reason to turn it off so early?

If they want me to pay for it in some capacity, they'll have to let me play with it first in some fashion. Hopefully I can find some time before........what? Monday.

I cannot say now I fear not your Natural D20 when looking at these guys!

Makes me sad.
The adjustments the devs made are quite good. The better costumes weren't seen in the SDCC pics, unfortunately, but those worse ones did get improved (I hope you saw that). The hoods and glowing eyes are back for most enemies, and none of them are only in tights anymore. The look is different, but it is pretty good now, and keeps enough of the old vibe (at least to my mind, and CoT are one of my favorite enemy groups).

I'm not as keen on it as Street Justice (and maybe Beam Weapon) but it seems like a great buff set. I was debating trying it on a Corruptor, but I don't seem to like those any more than Defenders. I was loath at first to reroll my Grav/Kin Controller that is 24, but I think I probably will make him a Grav/Time. Time is sounding more fun to me than a Kin, to be honest, and it seems like it will be as strong of a set.

The mechanics of the set sound pretty fun as well, and should mesh pretty well with Gravity, I think.

I'm thinking Ice/Time Controller, although the End cost will likely be ridiculous.

Elec/Time also looking interesting, and a lot more End friendly. Hmm.

I can foresee at least a few grav/time's just for themes sake. grav/time, space/time. yeah, we'll see at least a few theme toons.

Edit I should say that I'm looking at time for a MM (bot specifically) as an alternative to FF but I need to play with the numbers, see if I can soft cap the bots or not. Looking at it mainly 'cause I need a 2nd MM and since they dropped group fly's -acc I'm thinking "death from above".

.........well, no!

Buy me dinner first, and maybe I'll believe anything you say

After a stupendously annoying folly of errors, I finally was able to get online and try out some lowbie stuff. I <3 my rig . Zone lag didn't endear me to the set for the little bit I got going with it, but with as much as they have done to make the first few levels insanely easy, I don't know what is "good" overall or not anymore. I still have a Kin/Shield that I haven't leveled very high either, but both seem on par for the low stuff. Maybe once out of AP and the annoying factors are out of the way, it'll grow on me a bit more.

Hate to say it, but I'm leaning towards "just too much damn stuff" in this issue. I know they are wanting to go big, but as I always hear, too big isn't that great

For those of you who aren't checking out the beta but are still interested in what's going to be in the store, I'm working to maintain a spreadsheet of EVERYTHING. Currently I have the first three categories mapped out. Next will come the costume options (sometime this weekend), and then the rest of the categories are mostly just rehashes of what's already done.

Discussion Thread

Just the Spreadsheet

Also staves for more lulz ~ which seems to be a hybrid between DP and StJ mechanically.
So Staves have been confirmed by the devs in Beta?

Ooooooo!

Last thing before bed:
Synapse apparently said in a Ustream that they wanna add 3 more slots to us at some point, but couldn't now because it was borking builds or something, so i22 or 21.5 or something we'll be getting 3 more slots (FREAKIN YAY).
This added to earlier epic pool unlocks (if that is actually changing on live), and enhancement boosters means all kinda of new build tricks are coming down the pipes, and I am super excited. I will never stop playing with mids'. evaar

Three power slots, or three enhancement slots?
