Patch notes for build 2050.201106210214.1.

COMBINED

UI

  • Emotes awarded from Praetorian Zone Events and Astral and Empyrean Merit Vendors are now accessible via the quickchat menu.
  • Clarified text, pop-ups and messaging regarding Account Items (Certifications and Vouchers).
  • The default setting for the UI option to Hide or Show Unclaimable Account Items is now to Show. This means by default you will see Account Items which cannot be claimed on your current character in the Email window. You can change this setting at any time to hide those items from view – the option is now titled “Hide Un-claimable Account Items.”
  • Added a UI option to disabling blinking of the Email alert when there is an available Account Item. This option is titled “Blink Alert for Account Items.”
  • Added a pop-up message whenever your Account Item list is updated (on logging a character, on buying a new Account Item, or creating a new character). There is an option to disable this pop-up. This option is titled “Hide New Account Item Message.”
  • Added a pop-up confirmation whenever claiming a Voucher (as these items are single use, and we do not want you to claim them on the wrong characters than you intend). There is an option to disable this confirmation. This option is titled “Hide Voucher Confirmation.”
Astral and Empyrean Merit Vendors

  • The Astral and Empyrean Merit vendors are now sporting a new look.

CITY OF HEROES

Congrats! I'm seeing a few color shifts here and there with the most obvious being Christy keeping the original pink hair.

Bug:

The Under option is listed twice under Chest Details.

I just looked through the beta thread about the attempted redesigns. VERY nice costume work, Zombie! Well done!

I am going to re-post this here. Hopefully one day the following can be looked at in greater detail.

I have some comments on the current state of the Lore pets, mostly in regards to the buff/debuff pets.

First some potential bugs. It seems some of my Alpha enhancements are not properly affecting the Lore pets. With the Musculature slotted, I do see the increased damage, but I am not seeing increased Endurance drain/recovery effects from the Storm Elementals nor am I seeing enhanced to-hit debuff effects from the Storm Elementals and Vanguard, and finally the defense debuff effect from the Rularuu also appears unbuffed. Cardiac does not seem to be affecting the range but it does seem to be lowering the end costs of the pet's powers. This actualy seems to be the way it currently works on live as well.

The only comment I have on the attack portion of Lore has to do with the Seers. They still look too weak overall. I suggest adding ~300 pts of Psi damage to the Augur's Dominate.

I am going to start the buff/debuff comments with the Storm Elementals, since I have the most to say about them.

Storm Elementals Monsoon - Woah! I love these guys. Sadly, they are seriously stronger than any of the other buff pets. An unkillable, controllable Hurricane spitting out a 30% to-hit debuff, 60% range debuff in its large AoE that also uses a decent heal/buff. Without the repel, Hurricane has lost much of its power, but a 30% to-hit debuff and 60% range debuff with the occasional KB control is very, very potent. Perhaps lowering the to-hit debuff to 10% would be more in-line with the other pets. Maybe making it 7.5% but unresistable? One thing should be improved, the AI should treat O2 boost as a buff as well as a heal. If I do not get hurt, O2 Boost is never applied, which means it loses out on its awesome potential.

Arachnos Fortunata - Add 3% Defense All to Mind Link (same duration as the other buffs, whatever that is).

Carnival Seneschal - Add 10% Resistance All with 1 min duration to Forge.

Cimeroran Surgeon - Add the same type of status protection to Heal Other that the Nemesis Surgeon's Triage has, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Clockwork Mender - This seems to be a good baseline to balance around.

IDF Battle Orb - Deploy Stimulant's 6 second cast time and an interrupt looks out of place to me, I'd reduce it to 2 seconds and eliminate the interrupt, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Longbow Warden - Add 3% Defense All with 30 second duration to Heal Other, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Nemesis Surgeon - Change Triage's recharge to 7 seconds, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Phantom Spirit - Change Adrenalin Boost's recharge to 2 min 15 seconds.

Polar Lights Borealis - Add 10% Resistance All with 20 second duration to Glowing Touch, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Rikti Guardian - Change Accelerate Metabolism's recharge to 2 minutes.

Robotic Drones Shield Drone - Deploy Stimulant's 6 second cast time and an interrupt looks out of place to me, I'd reduce it to 2 seconds and eliminate the interrupt, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Rularuu Noble Brute - Change Crystal of Vigor's recharge to 2 minutes. Add 10% Resistance All with 20 second duration to Heal Other, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Seer's Seeker - This seems to be a good baseline to balance around.

Storm Elementals Monsoon - see above.

Warworks Battle Orb - Deploy Stimulant's 6 second cast time and an interrupt looks out of place to me, I'd reduce it to 2 seconds and eliminate the interrupt, the AI should treat this power as a buff as well as a heal.

Vanguard Magician - This seems to be a good baseline to balance around. Some learning curve to best utilize its heal, but I thought they worked well.

Any chance of adding the Empyreans and Astrals available for 1 influence like I heard it was on the Beta server? I'd really like to look at the new pieces before I buy them on live.

My suggestion for others is you got to be in it to win it!
Are they exact? Or just kinda close? I am curious and can't play at work. Pic would be rocking!

I finished my version a day or so ago but the thread had disappeared for me and figured it was too late to post it. Here it is just to show you what I came up with as you appreciate these things

NOW can we get the armor discrepancies fixed before this goes live please?

  • There are no secondary colors on the gloves, unlike all other parts.
  • There is no Decor (fancy) versions of gloves & boots.

Some of us want to get Under the Female Jackets more than once.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Pretty sure they removed them from this publish because this is the version that will go live. Pending massive bugs, of course.

I apologize to the person that remade the looks of Michael and Christy but I think they look even worst, specially the female vendor.
Weird mix of pieces, colours, etc... I wish vendors were an UI option, not NPCs, specially looking that way.

Are there any screenshots of all the auras then? Wouldn't want to waste valuable merits on something we can't see before we buy.

I read these lastnight and hoped that screenshots would be posted of the vendors' new looks. Seems they weren't, so I kicked open my test client and had a look. Then realised that to not post screens would be rude. So here they are; bear in mind that the computer I took them on isn't great.

I don't understand why they're in Ouro. Or why they're people. Or why they aren't just another tab in the incarnate window. But if they have to be people, I vastly prefer these outfits. Even if they do make the issue of the missing glove overlay flare up a bit.

Now I just have to hope that they'll let us make over Apex to look more like Apex.

And will these options to disable the pop-up actually WORK?
Seriously, someone needs to get their act together and fix the two that are currently defective:
- Useful Salvage Warning
- Large Auction House Fee
Despite there being TWO places to turn off these pop-ups, they can't actually be turned off.

Well, here are pics of the originals and my suggestions here.

The picked up Michael exactly. With Christy, thy kept the pink hair and took away the radiance aura (I guess because only Michael sells the radiance aura).

Whether one thinks they are more or less aesthetically pleasing, at least Christy is no longer dressed like Ouroboros's cocktail waitress and they are modeling the new pieces that they're selling.

WHY Don't they fix this!

Really It would not take the artist that long to go in and add / change the gloves to have texture 2 on it. Jesus. Do the devs even read this stuff?

Feels like We're just wasting time reporting these issues.

Incidentally, here's a good example of what that "by submitting content to the Service you give NCSoft full rights to use it to the extent the law allows" line in the EULA is supposed to cover.

Costume change emotes are no longer accessible due to someone putting a } on line 716 of the quickchat menu instead of the end of the file.

I won't say how I know that is the exact line the error happened.

Additionally, none of the Astral/Empyrean Merit costume change emotes (Fireworks, Ice Block, Nuke, Pure Energy, Stone Block) are present either.

Exactly. What they could do instead is just award a large amount of Emp and Astral Merits to characters, like they do for other things on the Test Server. That doesn't make them write code that won't be in the Live version.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

They could make Astral and Empyrean merits available to the in-game store (like respecs, server transfers, and renames), but only on the test and beta servers. With the test/beta servers not connected to the billing servers, that would be a way to bypass this limitation.

Or the players can copy the same character multiple times to the test server and buy what that character can, claim the items, and proceed to the next copy. Even a character that only has 6 empyrean merits can, with multiple copies, buy everything. At that point everything will be unlocked globally on the test server.
