The Avengers Promo Poster
I like it. It has a real, classic comic book feel to it. Nicely evokes what I like about the Marvel heroes I grew up with. I am so there.
Looks like Hawkeye is trying to kill Cap though.
No Wasp or Ant Man. I guess those two got the axe for being rather goofy in a live action context. So Cap and Hawkeye get swapped in as founders.
Too many alts to list.
Cap was always going to be in the Avengers movie.
Hank and Janet are supposedly in the movie, just not as superheroes yet.
...played by Nathan Fillion and Eva Longoria, respectively.
Also, I believe Marvel is still hoping to do an Ant-Man solo movie at some point, so that may affect his appearing first in the Avengers flick.

Really, no kidding I hadn't heard that before.

Okay, that was a little uncalled for. Ultimate Pym was the real wife beater. Hank slapped his wife away while trying to "save" the Avengers (or said he was trying to) and that one panel became his one character trait for the past 20 years. If anything, his treachery for secretly attacking the Avengers so he could play the hero should have been equally deplorable.
Here are the panels in question:

So, yeah...the poster...like it, but it looks more like the cover to the comic adaptation of the movie.
At least, I really hope it is...
"I may," he said with a grin that would have sent sane men scampering for the trees, "have been imagining it."
The poster looks poorly photoshopped to me... really... paying people to make that poster is kinda offensive.
Wow, they really pulled a Liefeld with Hawkeye's legs. And I agree that Thor should wear his helmet, but understand why he doesn't.

Sure it's more stylized than the real look, but I'm liking the modern take on Cap's costume. Kinda wish they'd let Thor keep his helmet on though.
