This is kinda of a nerf for ID. It's mez resist is currently stackable; now, i won't be able to stack it to protect Tanks from Ghost Widow/s Hax hold =(

We don't know that for sure.
There's been no information about it, so as of yet there's no reason to believe that they increased the recharge or removed the ability to stack.
Ugh. Horrible that Speed Boost is included. :/ Now I've got to hope that every Kin I run into announces that he's going to cast it so that I can get the Hell out of the way. (I move a *lot* in combat, so Speed Boost is *only* a penalty as it makes precise movement virtually impossible)

Seriously, the huge +Recharge and +End that turns a tean into a buzzsaw of rabid vorpal weasels being a single click for all. Wow.
It'll certainly seriously lower the bar that distinguishes a good /Kin from a dilettante! :-)

The only way they will be able to justify this is to make it work like the mastermind pet buffs. Takes a carpload of endurance to buff one team mate. I hope they at least take the rooting out of the powers...
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

That is not how they did it. Endurance cost and recharge are unchanged.
EDIT: And they actually reduced end costs for the MM buffs too.

I hadn't even considered how pb'ed force fields will benefit from this. I generally pb'ed and shielded in groups of two to hit everyone with stronger bubbles. Now I can reserve that PB for holds and other effects. This also comes as a very nice boon to my fire/ff'er. Bubbling imps just got much more simple.
This change will certainly benefit my kin. Now I can focus more time keeping Siphon Speed up to keep pace with all those speedy teammates. So they've eliminated my number 1 peeve about playing /kin.
For those of you who haven't read about this already, I thought I'd share the good news. I never thought I'd actually see the day, but going live in the next issue:
Group Area Buffs: To make buffing easier for Teams and Leagues, these buff powers now affect all the eligible characters within a 30-foot-radius around the targeted character. (Previously, you had to target and buff each individual character to use these powers.) Cold Domination (Defenders, Controllers, Corruptors): Ice Shield and Glacial Shield Force Field (Defenders, Controllers, Masterminds): Deflection Shield and Insulation Shield Kinetics (Defenders, Controllers, Corruptors): Increase Density and Speed Boost Sonic Resonance (Defenders, Controllers, Corruptors): Sonic Barrier and Sonic Haven Thermal Radiation (Controllers, Corruptors, Masterminds): Fire Shield and Plasma Shield I may actually end up playing Kinetics again... The only kind of downside to this is now all Force Fielders who didn't take Power Boost before should immediately respec into that (for ridiculously powerful shields). WOW.. I've been playing since before launch of COH. This is the best QOL update EVER. I have soooo many Kins I stopped teaming with because it was such a pain to respond to all the "gimme SB plz" tells. Being able to set a toon to ignore +movement means Kins are going to be in high demand.
Just imagining my Kin being able to do all the below to my whole team...
+Damage (to cap, for some)
+Recgh (50%) - this is huge, wonder if pets will be affected.. likely not
+End
-KB
+Res
I can't help but wonder how they handle Power Boosted powers.. before, one could maybe hit a few with the PB'd power before it ran out. Being able to Power Shield a whole team, however....
I hope this doesn't lead into a nerfing or lowering the effectiveness of the above powers
My main concern is about the size of the buff aoe and how close teaammates will have to gather. Also, as a group area buff, is the caster now affected, like Accelerated Metabolism?
Does this area buff affect pets as well? That is, if you are a Fire / Kin troller, will 1 SB affect all your pets?

AFAIK if you power boost and then shield someone the extra strength only lasts for a few seconds, and not the full duration of the shield.
I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.
So why didn't Empathy get this too? At the very least they could have made Clear Mind an area buff.
Because the devs intend for antimez buffs to be reactively applied, not on-all-the-time. Things like forcefields and sonic shields and speed boost are meant to be on-all-the-time. It's a deliberate design decision, not an oversight.
I love Black Scorpion, finally a dev who is giving the support powersets some much needed love. For too long all the attention has seemed to be on the overly glorified blasting/melee powers, in my opinion!
