Any Dual Pistols / Martial Arts true gun-fu character

A guy with a frickin laser gun that's not a petless MM

A decent werewolf or werecat (waiting on Claws animations that use the fingers rather than wrist blades instead of power proliferation)

Pretty much all my others I can't make would need entirely new powersets, like staff melee or animal summoning.

Dimensional Defense
-Displacement power (like the one previously suggested, several target-able invulnerable clones, think Phantom Army, but they all are debuffed clones of you)
-Warping shields (animates like you are being hit, but goes through (bent space) you)
-Time Warp (+To-Hit, +Recharge)
etc

Time Control and Melee DP are the two previous suggestions I find most appealing...

I think it'd be great if the Praetorian Epic AT was a new version of a kheldian that was actually a shape shifter. Part of the concept for khelds is that they absorb the forms of other organisms they are close to (Nova, Dwarf) so there should be a 'new' Kheldian that can absorb the forms of team mates and enemies.

Obviously it shouldn't be too broken, same rules apply as the pre existing forms.. ie: You can't access other powers while you're shifted. You would have access to your targets attack chain and appearance, and pick up their stats (perhaps with exception-- I know they wouldn't want a bunch of Marauders running around, beating the crap out of Marauder.)

In terms of memory, I'm not too sure how that would work. Maybe the Kheldian can only absorb up to 2 forms at a time, so for balance as with the VEATs not being able to pick powers from two of the additional branches.. If you pick this new shape shift power you miss out on either nova or dwarf. Every time you absorb a new form, you lose the last one you absorbed. Also, you should not be able to absorb the form of anything higher than your level.. Once again for balance purposes, I'll let someone else iron out the details on that one.

I would also like to see there be two 'branches' of this, one with fire attacks and one with ice attacks. Have the fire set be very similar to how warshades currently work (some version of eclipse, and lots of other sadistic evil powers-- Fire is dark and scary like warshades) and the ice version work much better than peacebringers currently do with the same general idea in mind. Also take this opportunity to fix peacebringers.

No one said Melee DP.

DP/Armor is a whole new AT. Because Melee doesn't get ranged sets. So new balances need to be made for it.

i just want the "fx in pvp only" option for Kheld forms, i'll take the pluses and minuses of the forms, just don't change the look. it would allow for a more "true to form" power armor toon. shields, blasts, melee, all there, just without the giant squid and lobster.


Oh yeah, that was the time that girl got her whatchamacallit stuck in that guys dooblickitz and then what his name did that thing with the lizards and it cleared right up.

No, Traps does not cut it. There is no powerset in game that properly conveys the feel of the high-tech gadgeteer hero. It is criminal that it's so hard to get lasers in a superhero game and that there is no player orbital laser attack. I want time-stopping chronofields, disintegration beams, orbital strikes, and a cruise missile attack where I do the O-portal wrist tap animation and a Tomahawk flies in and blows up everything.

I really really want

Arcane Sorcery

Something that feels like sorcery. Not just recolored powers.

Perhaps an "Arcane Blast" set. Or "Arcane Control"

Arcane Blast could have Eldritch Bolts, Arcane Sigils that bind things, etc. Lots could be done. I imagine something in a blast set that would either (Idealy) have a base damage, and a random status effect. (-def -acc, Stun, Hold, Blind, insert whatever) So you never know what chaos you might cause. Totally random so it never really gets boring.

For controls it would be pretty much the same as any other set...but woulud be thematic. Maybe something that turns enemies into frogs!

My son has asked me any number of times "Why isn't there a spell-based set?" Well, powers are like spells, in a way. "Why can't I have a wand?" (yes, he just has gotten through all the HP books, and now is playing a free-but-not-really online wizard game rather than CoH)

I wonder if the way this eventually may be realized (if at all) is through animation booster packs. "Buy the Magic Animations Pack - cast your powers by runes or wands!" Or the Tech Animations Pack (Captain Cold doesn't shoot ice from his hands, you know). Perhaps not the ideal (free) solution, but possibly a more likely one.
