Nice, but I'd need the transfers first. Too many toons, so little playtime.

What Darkstar said . . . I was about to go slot crazy but 9.99 at 50% off seemed too cheap. Glad I went looking in the forum for answers. They've adjusted the store price for the sale now. Be forewarned.
There's no telling how many folks they've boned with that little change.

I've opened a support ticket. When you have a representative of the game whose post has still not changed telling us that the price on the online store is the one that is NOT at 50% off, and then get a credit card charge for the displayed price from the store that's a very misleading sales tactic. It's amounts to a bait and switch (telling us it will be one price, and charging another), which as far as I know is illegal here in the US.
Not to mention the article that is still on the front page of the website has the same text:

Put me down as another plea for more slots! I'm maxed at 36 on Virtue. I'd probably buy another dozen or more if I could.

for those of you reporting that the in-game store is showing the discounted price, we are looking into it. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'll let you guys know as soon as I have an update.
Yay.. now how about some discounted or even better some FREE transfers again for my seven years of faithful service to keep Paragon City crime free ??!!!!!

If the regular price for 5 slots is $19.99, as someone said above, then the in-game store is showing the discounted price, at least for that one. That sucks, Like others here I thought that $9.99 was regular price and I was getting them for $4.99... I bought 10 slots so far, and was considering getting another 5 tomorrow before the "sale" ends...
It's Currently showing 5 slots for $9.99, 2 slots for $4.99 and 1 slot for $2.99 for me when I enter the store or click on "buy additional slots".
I'm in this boat too: I was under the impression that the store, as we were told VERY CLEARLY, had the "full price" and the billing would properly reflect discounts. I got my bank statement and lo-and-behold, that's the same price as shown.
Whether or not this was an error by someone thinking "hey we could put the discounted price online", ... it's extremely misleading, and in general at any STORE - that store would be responsible for giving the product AT the rate as advertised. In this case, indeed: half of 9.99.
I haven't bothered looking into the prices, mostly because I pay with paypal and *still* can't just use paypal for these purchases. But I even put my debit card number in so I could access this sale.
... So come to find out it wasn't the sale I was SHOWN.
Very bad form.
