PlayStation Network hacked, User Info stolen!

Well, looks like PSN is waking up now. Slowly. You're forced to change passwords when you try to log in, though, but that's to be expected.

In any case I really hope Sony has learned a thing or two about network security and customer relations from this. I expect they have, you don't take a month to reboot something like this without doing some rather extensive rewriting. Heard that they had Symantec people helping them, and they should know a thing or two about network security.

I highly doubt it. They make Norton after all.

My problem with Norton has always been it's too much. It's overkill for my needs. Right now, Sony wants overkill. They do NOT want a repeat of this.

Password reset page exploited.
It's times like this that I wish that I could slap someone with a wet trout across the internet. For crying out loud, Sony... BAD company! BAD! *troutslap*

On the plus side, if you haven't gotten that email, your password is still safe.

It looks like they got the exploit fixed, but Christ almighty the level of imcompetence that I'm seeing makes it look like that Sony wants to give customer info sway on purpose.

Thats some funny stuff right there, yes sir! As much as I like my PS3 I doubt it.

I use those Walmart debit cards for just such a case. Granted, there is a monthly service fee, but the crooks can only make off with so much cash and my other finances are protected since it isn't directly linked to anything important.
