Peacebringers and Gravity toons both regularly emit sounds that ride just shy of the threshold for inducing physical pain.
On a similar note, do away with flashing graphical effects, like that Electric Control ground patch thing and the temp power in the LGTF. They hurt my eyes.

1: Allow management of active contacts. Let me move all the crap tutorial contacts to the inactive tab if I want to.

2: Eliminate all the Fedex missions....this probably doesn't belong in a QoL list.......but geez those are nothing but annoying....and make CoH life worse not better.

3: Re-invent the invention system! Why oh WHY do we have GET the stuff in one location, and then have to hoof it to a different location to MAKE the stuff??? Put invention tables in every Wentworth/Black Market.

3b: Install Wentworth/Black Market purchasing/selling systems into the bases!

3c: Make all the Wentworth/Black Markets into their Praetorian equivalent with a high quality interior environment with power supression......GOD I hate having a Master Mind standing next to me with their Demons belching........or some VixenFoxHammerBabe Dark Defender spewing her hot PINK darkness aura all over the place!

3d: Does anyone use the Arenas??? Chuck all but one of the Arenas...maybe leave one in Galaxy City for heros since nobody goes there....and put a Wentworths/Black Market into every non-hazard zone!

4. Allow Midnighter members to teleport directly from Ouroboros to Cimerora.

5. Fix the lighting at every Facemaker/Icon location......so I can actually SEE what my suit looks like! The Pocket D and Vanguard locations are particularly BAD...but none of them are good.

5a. Put the Praetoria costume editor into a building! Costume editing.......outside.....in the dark.....during zombie attacks......and Winter Lord attacks........really.....REALLY?!?!

Rather than adding WW buildings to every zone, what I would rather them do is add new stores that connect to the WW system. Use the interior maps for the pawn and jewelry shops. Just add doors to where existing shops are, and your set.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

I have mentioned this in the suggestions section before, quite some time ago now though. IIRC this was met with much agreement for such a relatively small QoL issue.

First off, there are 4 mez protection powers that are clickies, /SR, /NIN, /SHI, and /PSI EPIC.

5th if you count Domination Inherent.

Now, of those, /SR, /NIN, /SHI can all double stack their protection! Can't do that with a toggle.
You could do it with a toggle - or a better designed, long recharge clicky - if you made a low level of status protection passive, and then made a toggle/clicky which could be used for emergencies. That would change it from being something that happens automatically, or requires sitting around twiddling your thumbs out of battle, into a much more exciting in-battle tactical decision.

Another one I forgot to list: heroes should be able to use their cell phones to check market prices. This is something even goat herders in rural Afghanistan do, well funded heroes who have access to sci-fi technology should be capable of it as well.

I agree with most of the posts here. Collapse memorized recipes, rearrange the salvage tabs, name/describe powers/recipes/effects more consistently, make SG bases co-op, make status protection clickies usable while mezzed, fix lag, make the LFG system and search actually useful, fix the incredibly annoying useful salvage deletion prompt, eliminate need to be in the same zone to start a trial, spread out the Powers window, and move unwanted contacts to the inactive tab.

If City of Heroes is updated to allow some sort of build importing for respecs/leveling up, I'll see to it personally that Mids' will be able to generate these exports. :P (It would be so awesome if I could paste in my build when I first make a character, and then my powers and slots would automatically be selected whenever I hit the trainer.)

Fix the detailed power info for some powers and tweak it for others. A lot of the time, you see things like "15% defense to fire" and "15% defense to lethal" and the same thing for each effect type. These could be grouped, although this is a more minor complaint than the fact that some powers just don't show any info at all, or show incorrect/incomplete info (for example, Tough when used by a Mastermind).

Allow us to zoom in and out more. Zoom in more on the map, zoom out more both on the map and with respect to your character. I often find myself wanting to see a much larger portion of the area I'm playing in, like an RTS...

Like with so many other prompts that I haven't seen in forever... *cough*... add the option to hide the prompt that appears every time I attempt to exit a co-op zone on my rogue/vigilante characters.

Fix tab targeting. Fix click targeting. Fix clicking hero zone door people. Fix what seems to be uniquely my issue where holding some movement key will cause the game to think my cursor is an extra two hundred pixels in the direction of attempted movement.

Don't hide the chat window during loading and cutscenes. You know what people like to do when they're waiting for something to load? Anything but stare at a loading screen. It also sucks getting a tell and knowing that you can't reply to it for some time, or getting cut off in the middle of typing a message.

1. Do something about the lag in large scale encounters. Though I seem to have less trouble with it than most, it's still annoying. Not being able to fire of powers while they show as recharged, but actually aren't, gets old FAST.

2. Pet peeve: Make the names of recipes and their respective crafted enhancements match 100%. There is no line in it whatsoever and it's really freaking annoying when trying to use the search function on the market. If the recipe says dam/acc the crafted enhancement can be anything from dam/acc, damage/accuracy, accuracy/damage, or there's an extra space in there somewhere, or there's just a damn typo in one version or the other or ...

3.a. Make the memorized recipes tab closed by default instead of open in your recipes window.
3.b. Make memorized recipes exempt from the "usefull salvage" warning.

4. Find a way to make Mayhem (and Safeguard) missions available through Ouroborous. Or don't tie accolade badges that give powers to them. With the current leveling speed and the slew of things to do it's easy to skip one or two, especially in the lower levels. And Praetorians miss two no matter what you do.

5. Make me move contacts out of my active list or even delete from my list altogether. Or do away with the automatic introductions. Having a whole slew of contacts that don't interest me on any particular character clog up my contact list irks me.

Allow me to click on a door, even if the door is "open." The submarine on the STF, the elevators on the Lambda, the door on every damn train in Paragon City. Waiting for the door to close and my little blue hand to appear is tedious and annoying, especially when a large number of people are trying to use the same door.

You realize there are 3 doors for each section of the LS, right?

Aye, and 8 eager beavers on my team. If one or more of us are not Johnny-on-the-spot in getting our obligatory door click in, we have to wait for the next elevator, even though a nice spaciously one is open right in front of us.

The idea that you can access closed doors but not a door that is currently open is just obnoxious metaphor shear.

I'm really surprised that they are releasing patches (like the one on the 26th) that dramatically increase server-side lag after so many people negatively comment on the lag already.

I doubt they intentionally added lag, and not everyone is experiencing this lag. Hopefully, the devs can pinpoint the issue and get a hot fix implemented soon.

Maybe they could automatically detect the amount of free memory available and make good use of it for precaching or allow some configuration for the amount of extra precaching to do?

Allow me to elaborate: the mac client's Cider Wrapper currently has a massive memory leak. Some users (myself included) will crash every ten to fifteen minutes, with thousands (sometimes hundreds of thousands) of RAM pageouts being reported. Any sort of massive precaching would only exacerbate this.

There are some doors during the ITF that just boggle the mind with this sort of thing. Its like a massive open gate, let me in already.
