City of Heroes: The Score ...?

As many of you know, I've already done orchestral rearrangements of both the CoH and CoV login themes. Right now, I'm putting the finishing touches to a piece I'm calling 'Incarnate', a sort of theme for those on the road to godhood.

This got me thinking. I could do series of tracks, each a theme for a person/place/event.

So, good people of the forums, what would you like to hear? A theme for Nemesis? Ghost Widows dirge? A Shadow Shard symphony? Any and all ideas are welcome.

Actually, as strange as it sounds, I would love to hear the main COH theme done in MINOR keys. The 'we're heroes, and we've won, but God did it cost us...' kind of thing.

Wonderful! My favorite bit of in-game music is in St. Martial. Don't know the name of the track but it's the song that plays when you near the Giza.

I'd love to hear your version of it though!

Just listened to Incarnate and 'First, Last, The One'. Damn that gave me chills

I'd love to hear a piece done for the Rikti Crash Site, actually. I love the rock piece they have going there at the moment, but...I get the feeling there could be something really epic done for the Rikti. Something with a very unearthly yet terrifyingly powerful feel to it. Something I think the orchestrals you make could wonderfully convey

This is going to sound strange, but...

Nemesis. Plans inside plans within tactics covered with more plans. A plan of such diabolical intent that it borders on the apophenic to even try to tie it all together. Nemi's song should be a concoction of multiple instruments and movements, all linked by being in the same "song," but independent "thoughts" as the song goes.

Summarily, Ole Brass' song should be say three different songs all rolled into one... and it should make us feel confused, rushed. And be called "Brass Monday."

Nemesis would be organ music. Imperialistic, 'You are worthy only of my contempt' music. Music that says 'Be grateful that you are worthy of being subject to my machinations, the likes of which are beyond your meagre comprehension!'

Nemesis would be organ music...and brass.

Lineage of War is downright CHILLING, amazing work. Brass Monday sounds like what plays in my head when Nemesis shenanigans go down - except yours is more epic. Very megalomaniacal and villainous.

The First, The Last, The One is quite effective - feels like it's out of a movie.

I rather enjoy Incarnate and how you weave in the theme (Rise of the Heroes) - Solemn, strong, yet also calm and almost mystical, fitting for (as you said) the rise to godhood.

I've heard Rise of the Heroes and Recluse's Web before - downloaded the former with Orchestral Epicness. (yes, sir, you have a fan.)

Why not finish out Hero and Villain with Praetorian? Would be neat if you could show both Loyalist and Resistance and their conflict musically.

Other ideas for things to hear in musical form... Kheldians, Malta, or Devouring Earth.

Beautiful work Ominous, I had not heard any of it before stumbling across this thread. Brass Monday immediately made me think of Nemesis (as well as Emperor Cole).

A commercial jingle for Crey would be entertaining.

Here's one for you... especially in light of what we've learned about Issue 21.

Something about the destruction of Galaxy City.

Circle of Thorns might be overused in the game, but watching their dark rituals, I've always thought they'd would work well with music akin to the building tension of O Fortuna from Carmina Burana or Waxing Elizabeth from Young Sherlock Holmes.

The manic nature of the Freakshow's freak-olympics seems made for a dark and quirky theme in the vein of Danny Elfman's work.

I'd also suggest a score on the ultimate sacrifice of a hero, notably Breakneck's valiant death.

This is fantastic stuff. Please tell me the Dev's want to pay yah to use it. If not I might cry a little inside. It's all positively splendid. I especialy like Recluse's theme and Galaxy's last stand.

As for new music inputs, since the 'First Ward' zone is soon to be out in Issue 21, what would be your musical interpretation of this failed Cole area now overun with Devouring Earth?

May I request something be done for Blood of the Black Stream? Specifically, I think that a remix of the theme for The Devil's Coattails neighborhood in Cap au Diable would be a good starting point.
